Rhapsody

So it’s been a few more months and I’ve been thinking. You see, I’m a little torn right now about what I really want to do with my life. Option one: work my rumpus off and get that dream job at PIXAR and become a successful artist and other cool stuff. Option two: settle down and start a family. Now before you get befuddled, allow me to explain... family is really important to me. I grew up in a big family, and I’d like to remain as close to them as possible throughout my adult life. Now, if I go to PIXAR I would have to move pretty far away. About six hours, which I know isn’t a lot, but it’ll seem a lot further when your trying to juggle a busy work schedule with seeing your family. And also, I sincerely want to get married and have kids, and the odds of me marrying in San Francisco more than doubles if I work there, which also means that I’ll be even more tied down there, and I don’t know if I want to raise my kids there anyway. So now it’s time to sort out what’s more important. Either way you slice it, it’s a sticky wicket. Anyone have any thoughts, ideas or opinions they’d like to share? I am open to suggestions.

So we’re kinda going back to the medieval thing again. Here’s a chart showing all the different races in MLP, minus, of course, Breezies, Zebras, Alicorns, and... I dunno, sea serpents? Whatever. Those other creatures will be featured in a separate chart. I’m actually thinking about making the dragons actual “walking on four legs” dragons instead of humanoids, so don’t get too attached to this. Anyway, enjoy!

So similar to the last entry, but, you know... with Twilight.

So I recently saw Forgotten Friendship and I am over the moon about the new outfits, mostly because the last ones were very stupid. So here’s a pic of Super Hero Sunset Shimmer!

Holy cow, my last entry was in April?! Wow.... oops... well, I’m glad to report that my artist career is continuing well. I’ve been taking art classes taught by none other than Phil Young! If yall don’t know who he is, he is a professional animator who worked on The Little Mermaid, The Lion King, The Black Couldron, Oliver and company, Beauty and the Beast, Aladdin, and The Emporer’s New Groove. So, YAY!!! I told him about my plans to work for PIXAR and he said that I have pretty good chances! I think I’ll take another one of his classes soon. But for the mean time, I’ve got to think about art school. Here’s my problem: Pro—going to art school gives me better chances of getting a good job. Con—It isn’t a guarantee that I will get a good paying job. Pro—CalArts would be my first pick. Con—I would be paying off my students loans until the day I die. (Not exaggerating) Pro—Art school can teach you a lot and prepare you for real world jobs. Con—going to art school is a scary/unknown/frazzling experience. (Probably. For me.) So does anyone have any art school suggestions, tips, or advise? Because now would be a good time to share! Rhapsody~

So after the Pegasi and the unicorns I really didn’t want to over complicate things for the earth ponies. So I just made them regular humans.

Well, there’s nothing I can say that I haven’t already said about Pegasi, so... yeah. Enjoy!

So the way I have made Pegasi work is actually quite simple: if you’re a Pegasus, you are born with an awesome tattoo that gives you your magical wings and the ability to fly! Plus the tattoo also doubles as the cutie mark.

I’m sure by now you’ve gathered that in this world I have changed unicorns to sorcerers, right? I thought it would be easier to explain than unicorn horns coming out of people’s foreheads. So the mark on her forehead is basically just a symbol that all unicorns are born with to show that they are magical. The pendant on the necklace is how they harness and control the magic within them, and they do cool spells and stuff with their hands. Pretty straight forward.

Okay, this is something I have been working on for a loooooooooong time. A high fantasy adventure story about the mane six but as humans and in medieval times. What do you think?

Alright, so I know a lot of you will be saying, "hey, that’s not how Wasp looks!” But I drew this picture just after the Ant-Man movie came out with only the end credits scene of the wasp suit to go on, so chill. I will probably revise it soon.
