"Religions of slavs", by Dariusz Sikorski, about pre-christian beliefs of Slavic people. Quite interesting, and with lots and lots of informations about the work done by historians.

"History of the Persian Empire" by A.T.Olmstead; "History of Ethiopia" by Andrzej Bartnicki; and "Ancient Egypt. Anatomy of a Civilisation" by Barry Kemp. Since my last message I've read also a few other interesting books - "L’Empire gréco-romain" by Paul Veyne, essays about the cultural and social influence of Greeks on Rome; "Polis", by Hansen Mogens Herman, a short book about definition and meaning of ancient greek city-states; and a few others.

Ni No Kuni 2. Daaaamn, this game is so gosh damn cute and well-animated. I'm surprised that I like it so much. I thought I'm not able to play games that aren't strategies .-.

"Ellada of the kings", by Anna Świderek, "Hellenistic civilization" by W. Tarn and "Hellenism" by Abraham Ranowicz. I'm quite focused on the history of the ancient Greece and surrounding nations after the death of the Alexander the Great.

Since my last message I've read 5 books: - "SQPR" by Mary Beard -"Salonica City of Ghosts: Christians, Muslims and Jews" by Mark Mazower ('biography' of the macedonian city and its jewish, turkish and greek population) -"Shah of Shahs" by Ryszard Kapuściński (which was a reportage, not a history book, but it was very precious and interesting anyway, especially as knowledge about Iran and Islamic Revolution isn't too common) -"The Plantagenets: The Warrior Kings and Queens Who Made England" by Dan Jones -"The Norman Conquest" by Marc Morris (damn, those Normans were surely brutal, but their kingdom are so fascinating! I wish I could find something more about Norman kingdom of Sicily). Next in line - "The birth of civilization on the British Isles" by Wojciech Lipoński. I'm not sure, though, if the last one was published in the west, but if it was, then I surely recommend it - I didn't have so much fun with a history book since Joshua Prawer.

While waiting for the "SQPR" and "Salonica, City of Ghosts: Christians, Muslims and Jews", I bought Gerard Russel's "Heirs to Forgotten Kingdoms". It's a fascinating book, written by a british diplomat, about the current state of the ancient religions in the Near East - zoroastrians, mandeans, Kalash people... if anyone is interested in history, and wants to know more about religions that were persecuted so mercilessly by ISIS - i.e. Yazidis - then he/she should buy this book.

Instead of "SPQR" I bought "The Rise and Fall of Ancient Egypt", written by Toby Wilkinson. To be honest, I'm rather dissapointed - while it was a good description of the long Egyptian history, I have a feeling that author didn't describe too many details. I hope to get another book about ancient Egypt soon, and "SPQR" is already bought - but I'll receive it as a christmas gift, so at the moment I'm book-less... except "History of central-asian nations", but reading about history of Asia according to marxism-leninism is too much even for me.

"The Latin kingdom of Jerusalem: European Colonialism in the Middle Ages" by Joshua Prawer turns out to be very good history book. It covers broad spectrum of aspects connected with Kingdom of Jerusalem - from their administration to the situation of local population. Next in queue - either "History of central-asian nations" by Bobojon Ghafurov (though it would be nice if he wouldn't write at least twice at every page about eternal rightness of marxism-leninism and its imminent triumph) or "SPQR: A History of Ancient Rome" by Mary Winifred Beard.

Hitsugi No Chaika. Quite nice fantasy, set after the downfall of powerfull, villainous wizard-emperor. Sometimes dark, sometimes funny... though ending was an utter and complete disappointment. I would personally give it 7+/10. I think that 'Legend of the Galactic Heroes' counts as 'last watched' as well, because I'm watching it from time to time. It never gets boring, truly.

ACHTUNG - spoilers from the movie! I'm looking for a single player, willing to play as Tempest (and, potentially, her crew. Especially Grubber, as he seems to be the most friend-like person for her). I envision it as an advanced, slow-paced RP, where Tempest would slowly repair her airship, take care of crew... and, of course, have a few small-talks with king Sombra. Why was she sent there? To destroy him once for all? Reform? Or maybe it was a mistake on Map's side, and she will once again end on the side of evil? I'll also probably craft a different backstory for king Sombra, to create something for Tempest to discover and learn. I imagine that she could not know too much about him at the beginning, and only learn more after repairing communication. Well, I hope I've written everything clearly and didn't make any obvious mistake/oversight. Cheers! Synopsis:

Crusader Kings 2. Is there anything better than forging a mighty empire, plotting and fighting to break your enemies, working hard to build a good economy... and then finding out that your heir is an idiot, and a plague devastates everything? Truly, those are moments when a wide grin appears on my ugly face. Also, Slime Rancher. Slimes are soooo darn cute!

I want to live, so I'm afraid that I prefer to stick with cats ._.

"The fourth crusade and the sack of Constantinopole", written by Jonathan Philips. Next in a queue waits "The Latin kingdom of Jerusalem: European Colonialism in the Middle Ages" by Joshua Prawer.

Teleportation. I'm afraid of heights, and in my humble opinion teleportation is far more badass and serious.

I've finally bought "Warhammer: Total War 2" for PC and "Ever Oasis" for 3DS. Now I only need to find time to play them... still, both of them look fairly nice - especially "Ever Oasis". I didn't' know what I should expect, but it turned out to be very positive and nice adventure game.

Good evening, everybody. One friend of mine recommended me this forum, so I decided to take a look there. I've joined fandom a few years ago already, but never really visited English-speaking parts of it. I'm a non-native English speaker, programmist with a soft spot in heart for villains (especially Sombra - especially in fanfics and role plays) and a self-proclaimed history enthusiast. I hope my stay there will be trouble-free.
