How do you think the Changelings are actually born?

Thanks for the answer, i really have no idea what that song is talking about because it is all over the place I got the idea for this topic from this absolutely incredible song they refer to themselves as quite a few things so i started to wonder. While parts are hardish to understand it is very clear, unlike that other one.

spoiler Is it just me, or are the Royal sisters quite weak.
Unity replied to Unity's topic in MLP:FiM Canon Discussion
I was asking an opinion not making an argument and I did not know that the others could lose their magic, so no argument can be shoddy. And not sure if this is what you were thinking of but i was talking about when Queen Chrysalis stole literally all of the Mane 6 + the 2 princesses and replaced them. -

Celestia and Luna are actually very weak if you think about it. The Sun and Moon could be controlled with just 6 ponies before they showed up and while this does not show a maximum amount if power it does to a minimum. Also, they have never really been able to defend themselves. They pretty much commited sudoku when tyrek showed up and Celestia couldn't even handle Nightmare Moon. They both were captured by queen Chrysalis. I think that they certainly were alot stringer back when they used the EoH but I think they are extremely weak now. Thoughts? -
spoiler [Spoiler] A few questions about the Pillars
Unity posted a topic in MLP:FiM Canon Discussion
I really think I need help understanding this. Major spoiler ahead. So if the Elements of Hope planted the Tree of Harmony than that means that the ToH is alot less powerful than first thought and mainly acts as a regulator for harmony. These are the Elements of Harmony and Hope. Honesty (Applejack) – Strength (Rockhoof) Kindness (Fluttershy) – Healing (Mage Meadowbrook) Laughter (Pinkie Pie) – Hope (Somnambula) Generosity (Rarity) – Beauty (Mistmane) Loyalty (Rainbow Dash) – Bravery (Flash Magnus) Magic (Twilight Sparkle) – Sorcery (Star Swirl the Bearded) I can actually see a lot of Similarities between them but this is just confusing because I thought the EoH were the true power this whole time. so this is what I don't understand. Are the Elements of Harmony now more powerful than the Pillars(Elements of Hope)? How is Sorcery and Magic compared and contrasted? and what makes the pillars so special besides the fact that they are just a group of powerful Ponies with special talents? In terms of special magical items such as the EoH. -

I think your right about most of that. But you can't say for certain so there really isn't an answer. But Alicorns are most likely Immortal from what we have seen and Twilight is an Alicorn be she does not have a flowing mane. Twilight is also destined for something great or was at least until she became an alicorn and still does not have one. Ridiculously powerful? well, StarSwirl is very powerful and he does not have one. The dark magic part i can't really object to. And Mistmane is not Immortal, destined for something greater(most likely not) very powerful, or into dark magic, I honestly think it could be a sign of wisdom, why? Because it would make sense that the oldest of the pillars(probably) would have a flowing mane, so would Celestia and Luna who are very old and wise. The only problem with this is that Mistmane had one when she was younger. Actually, it just hit me. What if it is not a sign of great power or any single thing, but multiple. Think about it. Celestia and Luna are Alicorns, both are very old and quite knowledgeable, so maybe one reason for a mane like that is becoming and Aging as an Alicorn. Cadance and Twilight are too young to show the signs if this is the case, and for Mistmane it could be that since she has the magic of beauty i guess you could say, so she is the master of her own magic. So i think its either Master your own unique magic, or become an Alicorn and age quite a bit. I cant say for sure yet though. I was going to say it is like this for Alicorns. Get cutie mark>Get Alicorn Status> Get Flowing Mane after you have proven to be a good protector(Alicorn). But Mistmane shoots that down or shows an alternative to it. whatcha think? -

Unity replied to Unity's topic in MLP:FiM Canon Discussion
There is a difference between being a good person and not being a bad one. StarSwirl is clearly not a nice person but he isn't evil he just protects. I dont think becoming an Alicorn because you are good at magic is how it works. I think it is your own magic. Twilight Sparkle is an alicorn because she is good at Friendship, so much so she became the "master" of the magic you could say. Same with Cadance. Even Luna and Celestia do completely different things, they lead Equestria, and also control the Sun and Moon, we dont know why they were made Alicorns or if they were born them but still. Being good at something anyone can do and mastering a new element for the better of others are different things. -

I think it may actually have something to do with magical properties as well but that would leave a lot to be explained just like how Star Swirl "The greatest wizard in all of Equestria" does not have one. There is nothing that really makes Mistmane stand out if you ask me, i thought i had something with the age thing but she had one when she was younger as well. -
The moment that made me laugh the hardest was just a realization and not actually a joke, did it get anyone else? It is Shadow-play 1 that we see Rarity go to a garden to retrieve a flower that was Mistmanes artifact thing. When she goes to pick the flower another older looking pony stops her and says "This garden has been passed on through my family for generations" (paraphrase) but what got me is this. This is Mistmane watch this clip here and look for the similarities between Mistmane and this Mare and then come back and read the rest. https://www.clipzui.com/video/t2i4h5737474a433z4y3y3.html

So, I only called it flowing because I don't know what the effect is called so if someone could correct me that would be cool. I am talking about how Celestia Luna and Mistmane(One of the pillars) all have mains that sort of flow in some sort of way. What do you think actually causes this? I think it may just be an affect of being old. It could also show a great accomplishment sort of like becoming an Alicorn since Mistmane is not one but has the mane. Thoughts? EDIT Mistmane had a flowing mane before she grew old so that sort of crosses off age.

I do believe you are correct. I think that if we say out of a very very rough estimate a pony life span is about 100 years and i think she would be under 150 years depending on when she actually became an alicorn. This is because if she was so young looking when Twilight was a Filly than we know that because there is such a big difference now she cant be very old.
