@Photon Jet It's not about "Oh they killn the mems". Actually WATCH the video. Add to it several people who voted for this didn't even mean to, they were just so stupid that they hit "enter" without checking to make sure the right thing was selected, and no, this isn't the first time a law maker's stupidity has shown during this. One of the first politicians to push for this in the EU said he hadn't even read it until afterwards and the "regretted it". I wonder just how many other laws he signed into law/pushed for before even really trying to understand what they were even about. Now, I'm not saying that musicians and artists haven't been getting the shaft for a while and yes, something does need to be done about it, but this ain't it. This system 1: Demands an even stricter version of youtubes bot - something we lack the technology currently to implement fairly and reliably. And 2: makes it much harder for anyone trying to make a review or parity to do so as youtube and other platforms will have to go with a 'shoot first and ask questions later' approach or risk getting in some deep trouble.

Yes, I am aware of how laws are made in the EU, but the point I'm getting at is the current leaders of the world can't be trusted to act responsibly. In England you could face fines or (if you're unwilling/unable to pay them) jail time for a bad joke. In China your value as (and even whether or not you're considered) a human is literally determined based on what are essentially good boi points you lose every time you say anything not nice about the government and the rest of the world's leaders just shrug and move on. I don't even want to get into the ever-expanding garbagefire that is the US political system! I have done my research and our only hope that the EU members will actually stop this here and now deepens on one of two things: Either they lose their jobs, or we have faith in them that they won't continue to be this stupid or this greedy. But maybe we should just accept the status quo, I mean the world's been doing so well lately...

Actually, it was from a user who posted the Reddit post on a Game Theorist room but I understand where you're coming from. Politics nowadays have no real answer to anything and there are setbacks when it comes to making decisions in lawmaking. It is very difficult to know if you are doing the right thing or just making it worse to others. And of course, there are those who can be quite deceptive. I agree that if only there are more people in our world who are greatly responsible and righteous, that way they can put us in the right direction without any concerns. However, the people we have now can change and atone for what wrong acts they did that brought us in bad situations. That's what should happen as redemption is a wonderful thing. We may be powerless individuals when it comes to changing the world for a better future for all, but we all must remain strong no matter what.

You know, this sounds like a job for the Phantom Thieves. Wouldn't it be cool if they're real?  

@Photon Jet some of these politicians BRAG about being bought and sold. Many of them have been in office for decades and have gotten so old that they may honestly be getting senile. I believe very much so in redemption, but you have to want it and I fear some of these people may not be capable of learning what they did was wrong. I'm not against old people or those with mental issues, but even if you're the most skilled surgeon in the world, their comes a time when your hands will no longer be steady enough to hold a scalpel and when that time comes, you owe it to the same people you've dedicated your life to helping to step down and let others take up the burden. And in the case of a master surgeon who simply allows their patient to die on the table when they had the power to save them, but took money under the table to abandon their hypocritic oath, you need to prevented from ever holding a scalpel ever again.

@Iris Flower yeah, from what I gather, I think he (and Wuten) have been looking around for a new day job or something, so he's mostly been doing gaming livestreams on youtube and twitch as well as live narrations until things get back to normal for him. Chaotic's in a similar situation, though he did manage to get a truck driving gig recently, but it's been freakn' brutal to him, so I think he's just saving up enough cash so he can quit and look for a less taxing job. Lost and Mag our planning their wedding to each other (though I think Lost has been sick on and off during this too). In spite of all of this, it seems like Guti and Chaotic - at least - are gearing up to start producing normal content again and it seems that Guti thinks because of his new work situation, he'll also be able to add regular streams to his usual stuff. This is what I've gathered from following them on twitter anyway.
