I'm not the biggest fan of episodes that revolve around really obvious miscommunication, but for that particular formula that episode did the job pretty well. It completed the joke about Spike's explanation, Discord shows he was a big softy on the inside after all...

One thing I especially thought was really great about the episode was Big Mac saying that he loved the way her nose wrinkled while laughing and we got to see it later in the episode. Coming from someone who's been in relationships, it's the small mundane things you have a tendency to love the most about your significant other, especially when you feel like you're going to lose them. It's all too common for fiction to go on about how the significant other saved them or whatever when they break up/lose each other, but what you tend to think about during break ups is actually the way they squirted milk out of their nose or that one thing they did that used to really annoy you but you significantly miss now.

Nice to see the episode address that.

Also, the CMC were pretty cute in this episode too and their subplot was relatively harmless.

Discord's portrayal was probably the best part of the entire episode. He was portrayed so well and I hope to see more of him like this. It was the first time I genuinely found myself connecting to and loving him.
