I tried going to bed a while ago. However, my mind and imagination wouldn't let me sleep.
That's one of the things with writing stories. Especially long ones that you've been writing for more years than you can remember. You're always working on them, even when you're away from the computer/notebook. Even when you've gone to bed, everything plays out in your mind to the point some nights when you go to bed, you have to get back up to write or sit up daydreaming through scenes and character interactions. Then you're up for hours working on it all.
I wouldn't change any of that.

@Tacodidra One of the greatest pieces of advice I have heard given to those who have thought about taking up writing is that "Writing is a verb. Do it".
@Princess of Hearts 💛🧡 Usually, I put myself in the place of my characters to try and understand them better. It's usually the way where at the very beginning I try to make the character. But the character ends up making itself and telling me what it does or what it feels.
