Honestly I do feel like Freddy would despise his reboot self.  I’ve seen so many people associate that trait of his to the original Freddy far too often and it never ceases to anger me. They picked up the trait Craven dropped and that’s just infuriating in my opinion. I know reboots tend to change things up some or a lot but did they have to make that decision. No.
