Lord of the Rings trilogy is a must, Hobbit Trilogy is a toss up, ignore Rings of Power. Star Wars is trickier, the OT is a must, Revenge is has its issues but I still highly recommend, Rogue One is also a must watch, but I think you can skip Solo, TFA is difficult because I think on its own it's great, but as a part of a trilogy it's hurt by the movies that followed. TPM and TLJ are toss ups, and I'd actively avoid Attack of the Clones and especially Rise of Skywalker

All movies are worth watching at least once, but for what it's worth - the Newer Star Wars films in my opinion are trash.

Not a fan of Lord of the Rings, but the movies are so good they are worth watching for the quality!

Star Wars originals are classic. You don't have to watch but again, they look good even today with their 1977 models!
