I know people usually think of "extraordinary, revolutionary, modern" when they hear "important". But I assure you, without the person(s) who invented the use of containers to keep food fresh, or basic terraforming to control the growth of plants and animals for resources, we wouldn't be here to talk about these things today.

I wouldn't count religion as it has also started many wars and fights. I say music is one of the most important inventions to human life. It sets people free and calms others down.
