Thank you! That's quite helpful. I've historically been kind of bad with proportions... haha. I've been drawing for about six years (since middle school I'm in college now). Mostly I draw anime style humans so I'm sort of new to the pony things, still getting the hang of it all.

Ok, so I was basically requested to make a thread for this, but this is an OC that goes along the lines of my "Children of Harmony" series. Basically this is Rhubarb "Ruby" Pie's eventual father, Fanboy (It's a little sketchy in places I know, sorry....) A little back story, originally he was made up as a total inside joke but since I'm possibly doing something with the fanmade kids (one of whom is his kid) I decided to brush him off and make him an actual serious character. Basically he runs a little used comic book shop in town. (Not the same one Spike got his comic from. In fact he's getting rather sick of people asking if he's got "enchanted comics"). Growing up, Fanboy didn't get out much mostly due to some health issues involving breathing. Because he was so often sick and confined to bed he threw himself into comic books wishing to be like the ponies in the pictures. As time went on though and he began to see his lack of social fortitude or physical strength his self esteem started ebbing away. The day he and his older fraternal twin brother Caramel got their cutiemarks didn't help manners. Caramel got horseshoes. (The words of their mother, "Oh, horseshoes! Oh you can really go places with a cutiemark like that!") He got an autograph book. ("Oh.... how... nice"). This was humiliating. What on earth could he possibly do with a cutie mark like that? Well, as time went on he came to be the founder of the Elements of Harmony fanclub dedicated to the myths and legends surrounding it, and eventually a fanclub dedicated to the real elements of harmony the Mane 6. (What? Sherlock Holmes gets his own fan club within his show... Besides, Rainbowdash had her own fanclub for an episode) In his eyes they are like the super heroes he reads about. His favorite, of course, is Pinkie Pie, but that's mostly cos he's had a crush on her since forever. As time goes on he comes to discover there's more to his cutiemark than he ever would have given himself credit for.

So through an interesting turn of events I have ended up with a set my own fanmade children of the Mane 6. I think I have mentioned this before on this site. I call them "the Children of Harmony". Before there were two extra kids but I have since elected to erase their characters so there's six of them. I've also taken more time to sit and figure out their characters a little more so if I want to, say, write fanfiction with them I can. To the point I spent the better part of this morning working on this picture of them human and I'm sort of pleased with it so I kind of wanted to see what you guys thought Here's there designs as ponies too if you're curious. (With those two additional kids I mentioned)

So I have been told by a certain brony that I should post my version of the children of the Mane 6 (dubbed by me as the Children of Harmony) http://potoperson.deviantart.com/art/The-Children-of-Harmony-391588015 Descriptions: (The slightly more reliable ones than the ones posted on Deviantart... especially for PP's kid) (from left) Persnickety Pants II: (Son of Rarity and Fancypants): Although bookish in appearance, Persnickety is quite adventurous and open to trying new things even if they end up bringing him embarrassment in the end. He is curious, generous, and has a great relationship with his parents (even when his mother treats him like a dress up toy). Because of his fearlessness in the face of embarrassment, a lot of ponies Persnickety age turn their noses up at him and think that he is a complete air head (though that is completely untrue) He was named after his grandfather on his father's side (something that Fancy Pants did to placate his parents who do not exactly approve of Rarity. They still are iffy about how they feel about Persnickety) Maigold and Malling: (Daughters of Applejack and Caramel) They are actually a part of a set of triplets, though they themselves are twins. (There were three fillies born, identical twins and another filly. See Newton a few down) They care about their brother Newton and their family, but tend to find themselves in their own little world.They chaff at Ponyville just a bit and spend time in their own little world where they dream of running off to join the rodeo. (on ground) Moonless Night (Son of Twilight Sparkle and Big Macintosh) Moonless does not look like either of his parents on account of being adopted. Twilight and Big Mac cannot have fillies (whether this is because of Twilight's allicorn status is yet to be determined). Twilight actually found Moonless in an orphanage in a remote corner of Equestria while traveling around on princess duties. Moonless hated the orphanage and everyone in the orphanage hated and feared him. Twilight saw great potential in him and took him home with her. She is his mother but also his mentor sort of like Celestia was for her. (Whether he will be her successor is also yet to be determined.) Even in his new home, Moonless often finds himself feared and whispered about. He is surrounded by the care of his parents and his friends now though (in air) Patchwork "Patches" (Daughter of Rainbowdash and Soarin) Considering who Patchwork's parents are it isn't really surprising that Patchwork is a prodigy when it comes to flying. It also isn't really surprising that there is a certain expectation of her by everyone around her including, to some extent, her parents. Don't get me wrong, Patches loves flying, but sometimes she is left wondering if this is all her life will consist of. She's fiercely loyal to her friends like her mother before her and especially bonds with Moonless Night since both understand having everyone around you having expectations and assumptions about you. (on ground) Newton (son of Applejack and Caramel) Newton is the awkward nonidentical child out of his triplet siblings, and that is a fact that he seems to have issues escaping. He doesn't hate his sisters, indeed he sometimes wishes he could join their world, but he often feels that he is either compared to them or is being left out of from them. He doesn't have that competitive edge and would be just as content staying and working at Sweet Apple acres with his mom. He often wishes his cousin Honey Crisp was his sister instead. His other cousin Ruby on the other hand just confounds him. (on ground still) Honeycrisp (daughter of Fluttershy and Braeburn. Yes. I do ship that. Sue me) Honeycrisp is a greatly down to earth pony in all respects except for her heart. She wishes she was born with wings like her mother. The only thing she inherited from her mother was her coat, her capacity for understanding, her patience, and her uncanny ability to attract birds to her (they often do her hair in fact). More than once she has hurt herself jumping out of an apple tree thinking that maybe she would sprout wings. She's far spunkier and more adventurous than her mother though. Rhubarb "Ruby" Pie (daughter of Pinkie pie and an OC who I may or may not mention later). Ruby Pie is like her mother in many aspects. For one she's pink (Obviously). She also loves to eat, is completely random, can put a crack in reality, and occasionally prone to outbursts of excitement. Ruby though is far more on the lazy side, She also cannot bake to save her life. and has a sense of humor that seems to come from a different place than Pinkie's does. She's also the biggest fan girl this side of froggy bottom bog and can beat anyone in trivia, cosplay, or video games. (She's throwing down the pony gauntlet to YOU, Buttonmash) She also thrives in her uniqueness and individuality. People make fun of her and call her names on a daily basis and yet she never seems to notice or care. BONUS fanboy: (husband of Pinkiepie, father of Ruby Pie) He's sort pf exceedingly random and logic breaking in his own way. His love for Pinkie Pie knows no bounds and although he is physically weak, asthmatic, and nerdy, he has many random skills you would never expect such as fuglehorn playing and video game powning. He is Caramel's younger, non-identical twin brother hence why Ruby and Newton are related.
