Creamy Arty's post in How do I set my activity to private? was marked as the answer
@Sommar, the people above are correct. Once upon a time it was possible when logging in, but once authentication through Poniverse began, that option was lost. I honestly don't know why that's no longer an option, whether it's too much trouble to implement now or simply because the tech guys don't care about that feature, but it can still be done and undone by an administrator.
I'm not a hardass about it, so all anyone has to do is ask and I'll make the switch for them. Don't see a reason to make it any more complicated than that. Given the way you've phrased this question, I take it you would like to be invisible, so I've taken care of that. All you have to do is log out for the change to take effect.

I found the problem and it looks like you're good now, and everyone else with that badge. Thanks for bringing this to our attention

Creamy Arty's post in Ranks for posts? was marked as the answer
Rank badges aren't selectable and it's been suggested before that be changed, but there's currently no way of doing so. It is also of questionable significance and a rather low priority regardless. I wouldn't expect this ever to happen, and not anytime in the near future if it does.
Your posts will also not be removed to keep your rank from advancing.
Those rank badges were only intended to be a fun little addition. Something not only to help you measure your "progress" but to add to the cheerfulness and levity that one might expect of a forum about ponies. They weren't intended to be part of anybody's identity. Just enjoy them for what they are while they last.

Creamy Arty's post in Status update issues with Firefox was marked as the answer
, this thread belongs in the Site Questions & Tech Support section since it involves some kind of site error. I'm relocating it.
Assuming you haven't tried any of this yet, I'd suggest clearing your cache in Firefox and disabling all plugins and extensions you may have installed. Putting Firefox back in its vanilla state would help to rule out any problems on your end. Don't think I've ever seen a notice like that before, that the "action failed" when trying to post a status.
As for a deleted status turning red, that's normal. Status updates aren't deleted anymore when you hit that button. Rather, it renders it invisible to all but you and the staff. Some people have enjoyed posting status updates or profile comments to attack or piss off somebody else and then tried to delete it before the mods could take action. Deleted status updates were recoverable, but took a bit too much work on the part of the tech guys. I'm pleased to say this change has since screwed over a number of people who have been up to no good. At any rate, that's nothing to be concerned about.

Creamy Arty's post in Want to delete account was marked as the answer
The administration doesn't and will never delete accounts. Deleting an active account and thereby its associated content would leave gaping holes throughout the forum, removing or ruining entire threads. I think it's obvious why that would be a bad thing. One would also be unable to return to their account should they ever have a change of heart, which would be terrible too.
Leaving your account dormant is of no harm to the forum or to you, so if you're no longer interested in using it, you can simply leave. No further action necessary.

Creamy Arty's post in Help? was marked as the answer
Nope, because you used a brace. However, Adorkable has the right idea. Many videos will embed if you simply drop the URL. However, it doesn't always work.
What does always work, from my experience, is grabbing the "share" URL from the video and simply pasting it into your post. That's all it takes.

Creamy Arty's post in How to change my 'Display Name'? was marked as the answer
Yeah, I can see that it's missing from your settings, and I can't find anything that would indicate why this is.
Please file a support ticket for tech support. This will require more investigation than what can be done with the typical admin tools. Furthermore, PM me with whatever you want to change your name to if you were actually trying to do that, and I'll change it for you.

Creamy Arty's post in Approved? was marked as the answer
There's nothing in that section requiring that any new threads be approved by a mod or admin before it becomes visible and the log doesn't indicate that it happened. Two posts in that thread were made by somebody who needs his posts approved before they become visible. You shouldn't be affected by that though. Sounds to me like IPB got confused and notified the wrong person or maybe in addition to that guy. It would be interesting to know if all thread OPs are now notified when this happens.
Whatever the case, it's just a fluke of some sort.

Thanks for letting us know. I've taken care of it. For future reference, something like this would be better suited for a support ticket as it's something that requires an administrator to fix.

Creamy Arty's post in Getting an admin respond to one's messages. was marked as the answer
The administrators, though sometimes a bit delayed in responding due to having real lives and being few in number in relation to the amount of active users and site activity, are very active and far from inaccessible. Just because one may not have enough time to reply in a timely manner doesn't mean you're without any alternative but to sit there and wait. Move on to another if it looks like the first one you contacted is out of the office, or send your message to several simultaneously. We wouldn't mind that, really. With support tickets, PMs, and five administrators listing their Skype names on their profiles, you have three channels and many people of which to avail yourself.
Support tickets are primarily for mod disputes and technical problems that should be logged, while the others are good for anything else. People hit me up with the latter two all the time and I stay busy around here. Although I have an 8-6 job, like so many others, you can send me whatever is on your mind and I'll see to it as soon as I'm free.

Creamy Arty's post in Equestria.tv development and missing YouTube videos was marked as the answer
There isn't a thread pertaining to the new ETV yet. Not many updates to provide right now. It's pretty far in development but there are still some decisions major and minor that we're mulling over on how we want to implement particular features, whether or not some will be used at all, a few matters of protocol, and some other minutia. Anything we could say now would be tentative. When we have some concrete information to provide, we'll let everyone know.
As for the issue of nonworking videos, just shoot a PM to any of the stream mods and we'll remove any that have been blocked or taken down.

Creamy Arty's post in That word amount setting was marked as the answer
As stated above by another, it's a character minimum, and the minimum varies according to which forum you're posting in.
The reason for them, also as stated above, is to encourage higher-quality posts. Implementing those requirements did much to eliminate spammy posts such as one-word or no-word responses (such as posts consisting of nothing but a reaction image) and miscellaneous off-topic nonsense. A flawed system, to be sure, but it's better than when there was nothing.
As stated in the OP of this thread in the Canterlot Castle forum, work on a much less cumbersome alternative is in development.
