Just finished watching the first two episodes of 9-1-1: Lone Star, and while I like the main plots going on with various characters, the sub plots of them getting 911 calls and going out seem kinda silly or weird. Like one was a woman who continuously called 911 on her non-white neighbours for stupid reasons to try and get them to leave, only to be then told she was being arrested for making a fraudulent call to 911. Upon faking having a heart attack to try and get mouth to mouth from one of the firemen, she was horrified to learn that the only people among them certified to do that were a woman, a gay man, and a black trans man, to which she just held up her arms and said, "Take me to jail."

I mean, this show does take place in Texas, but still...
