How you became a fan of My Little Pony My Favourite Mane 6 Pony: Pinkie PieHow did you find MLP Forums?: Boringly enough, on a posting to our local brony meetup group regarding room sharing for EFNW.I'm not normally the type to post on forums, but ya'll ponies are just so damnably affable that one can't help but join in. How you became a fan of My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic: I'll tell you how I DIDN'T become a fan; Growing up with many sisters who watched earlier gen ponies. My apologies to any fans of earlier generations. I was very much in the societally imposed gender mold as a young lad.When I first saw a ponified movie trailer on youtube, I thought it was a masterful troll on a heretofore unseen scale. Yet the emotions were so well expressed that my empathic self was intrigued.On a lark, I asked my BFF if they'd like to watch an episode with me. So we did. The first few episodes were ok, although very technically impressive to us fledgling tinkerers of the flash medium. So we watched another.. and another, and soon after evolved from BFF to PFF. No. Ok, fine. Past: Unfortunate family events necessitated growing up and becoming responsible at an early age. That's about all I'll share unless I know someone quite well. Present: I have a dog. He's cute, floppy, fuzzy, puppy-like, and is likened to a muppet by friends. I take him out to naturey places every day if I can. It's all SuperHD 3d out there. Computers are my gig, have been my whole life. I love my job. I hate my job. Mostly I love my job. If there's a problem, I can fix it. If there's not a problem, I can make it better anyway. I've also created pony mods for games, done flash animation, 3d modeling, and any number of other things that most would probably find boring. I enjoy reading, writing, games, escapism, trying new things, making friends, mischief, anime, and taking way too many pictures of my teddy-bear like dog. This fandom took in a misanthropic shut-in who wore shirts that said 'Meh' and wanted to watch the world burn. This community has slowly turned that lost soul into someone who enjoys the company of others, turns complete strangers into friends, and even has a bit of faith in humanity now. I'm an active part of our local brony meetup group, and now I'm here.. sharing all this crap I certainly wouldn't have before. All in all, my social transformation is akin to Pinkie Pie's discovery of parties on the rock farm.
