Well being self-centered doesn't mean the same thing as being selfish. Not going out of your way to help others is fine, but actually causing harm do to only caring about yourself is not. I can't even influence a tv cartoon. You are overestimating me. I think you're underestimating yourself. Each one of us are far more important and capable than we realize. I have no power as to banish anyone of society. You know what they call creatures that feed upon others but don't care about them at all? Parasites... I guess however that if you don't harm the one next to you you are allowed to care however much you want. As for the MLP comparison if somepony didn't want to do Winter Wrap Up i would simply leave their house with snow and stuff all winter and just let them live their lives alone. If you don't like the jungle go somewhere where you can live a hermit... hell "Go primitive" if you like i heard its a nice trend. No Comrade. I live my life. As far as politics go you can't be neutral... because being neutral means you're being a puppet of the rest. As far as religion goes and sexuality and whatnot these are preferences limited to the individual... however if you do not care about the suffering of your Neighbour then he/she is likely not to care about you at all. As far as religion goes and sexuality and whatnot these are preferences limited to the individual... however if you do not care about the suffering of your Neighbour then he/she is likely not to care about you at all. You'll be treated how you treat others... You can care and be willing to do something to help others in need around you while still not especially caring for the system built around those people. Making things like politics into an issue for yourself doesn't necessarily mean you'll be any good at it, you can easily get caught up in some cause or another, lose sight of the big picture, and be just as useless as you would have been if you hadn't done a damn thing in the first place. People have different tolerances for different things, we can't all be incredibly proactive. It's really a matter of circumstance, but who says there HAS to be a "right" side? Sometimes being neutral and not siding with either faction (when both are WRONG) is just as significant as picking an opinion. Sure, systems like laws exist that tell you what to do.
