Princess Celestia watched as the procession moved up the hall. When it reached the front and Clover stepped up to the stage with the other Princesses, Celestia's horn glowed yellow. Clover's crown, resting on a cushion next to the alicorns, glowed yellow and levitated into the air, coming to rest on Clover's head. Celestia smiled at her student-turned-Princess, before motioning to the balcony, indicating it was time for Clover to step outside and address the crowd. Celestia knew Clover was nervous and would certainly be dreading this part of the ceremony, but she hadn't a doubt that the new alicorn would give a splendid address. She and the other Princesses trotted out onto the balcony and waited for Clover to follow...

Clover's crown was made of gold and had the white jewel she had collected during the Odyssey set in the middle. When it came to her speech, Clover was shy, but ready cuz she had rehearsed it. She couldn't help but feel nervous as she looked over the crowd of ponies below, but the sight of her friends gave her courage and she began to speak.

 

"Thank you all for coming to my coronation. This is a very important day, not only for me, but for my friends too. I could not have done the things I did without my friends by my side. Stargazer, Lightning, Morning Glory... you three helped me rescue Ruby back when I was just a filly. I gained my cutie mark, and for helping me with that, I thank you. DJ, Sterling, Evening, Northm Red and most of all, Steel; I travelled with you all on the Odyssey and later on, you all helped in the defeat of the evil pony Raven. Steel I hope will also help me learn how to use these new wings of mine!"

 

Clover gave a smile and a nod to each of her friends as she named them. There was a slight ripple of laughter at her last comment, which respectfully died away as she continued.

 

"The defeat of the evil dark mage, I could not have done so without my best friend Stargazer by my side. She came with me when her friend from the North arrived, begging for help against two Windigoes that had been summoned by the dark mage, and it was when they attacked her that I was able to draw upon my magic in order to defeat them. In short, magic is a wonderful thing but it is only with friendship that we can possibly learn to reach deep inside ourselves and reach our full potential."

Sterling was amazed with the musical preparations that had been made for the event. It must have been such a huge occasion for such a large orchestra to come and play for her. As Clover came up to the stage to give her presentation, Sterling kept his eyes firmly on her. It was his chance to forget the ecstasy he felt for DJ after being supposedly dead. Now it was time to hear Clover give off her inspiring speech...

 

Sterling felt honoured when he was mentioned in Clover's speech. It was indeed thanks to their help that Clover and the rest of Equestria finally defeated Raven from his grasp o'er the land. Sterling also gave out a laugh when Clover mentioned that she would have to learn to use her wings. It was always the trend for new alicorns to have to get accustomed to using wings.

The ponies listening to her speech stomped their hooves in applause and cheered for their new Princess. Celestia smiled proudly at Clover, impressed at her speech just as much as the crowd was. It was only when she looked at Clover's glistening crown that she recalled something.

 

Celestia had taken a special interest in the gem that adorned Clover's crown, using it for that occassion, because it felt very special. Not only was it a great gem that sparkled beautifully, but it symbolised Clover's bond with her friends, who had journeyed with her on that strange and exciting journey that her sister Luna had closely observed. There really was something special about it, something she couldn't quite understand herself...

 

She trotted over to Clover, standing beside her after the speech was over. "Would you like to announce the start of the festivities in the banquet hall, Clover? You are Princess now, after all. It would only be fitting for you to do it!" Celestia wanted to congratulate her studen on the speech, but knew that it would be best to discuss it in private so that the coronation celebrations ran smoothly. Maybe when the ponies had left the hall could they discuss Clover's magnificent achievement properly?

Steel nodded when he was acknowledged and waved a hoof to dismiss his importance. Truly Clover earned this day by her merits alone.

 

"I'd be honored to help . . . my lady." He said quietly as to not interrupt his friend's speech at last addressing Clover by that title in it's official capacity.

Clover replied, "Of course." She added a few words, telling the gathered ponies that they should now head to the banquet hall, for the feast and party. This was to run for a little while, so that all the ponies could celebrate. Clover had felt it best, since the honour applied to her was something she wished to share with her friends.

Hearing the announcement from Clover that there were festivities in the banquet hall, DJ and Vinyl got up from their seats and got began to follow the crowd out of the hall. "I wish we could spend some time talking to our new Princess friend!" DJ said with a grin. "Sure we shouldn't stay behind?"

 

"Now DJ, can't you see she's probably busy? The other Princesses look like they want to speak with her! Anyway, you have a lot of people to tell that you're not dead!" Vinyl said with a giggle.

 

Chuckling, DJ nodded, and then remembered he should probably catch up with the others. "Go on ahead Viny! I'll see you in the hall!" Kissing his marefriend goodbye, he made his way over to Sterling and Evening, since he knew where they were. "Sorry about not telling you..." he said apologetically. "I really haven't been able to tell very many people, as I only just recently was able to return to Ponyville. Heck, Vinyl was grieving my death along with her and my friends in Ponyville too until recently!" He chuckled. "It was one crazy adventure I had!"

"I am very proud of you Clover!" Celestia said as the ponies began to leave the room. "You've really grown into a fine Princess, and you will do splendidly! I never doubted your success!"

 

Twilight also trotted over. "Yes Clover! Princess Celestia's right! You and your friends have all done some amazing things! You're a really powerful magic user too! You've done so much and helped so many; you deserved more than anypony else to become a Princess!"

"Now Captain, you know I am a pony slow to anger . . . but luckily you've given me plenty of time to let that boil over into this. HOW COULD YOU NOT TELL US YOU WERE ALIVE?! I had to work tooth and hoof just to keep us from drifting apart, across a frozen wasteland no less!" Steel demanded of his friend. " . . . sir." He quickly composed himself from the outburst.

DJ's ears dropped as he witnessed his friend's outburst at him. He wished he hadn't hurt Steel so much. "I... I'm sorry Steel..." DJ said, ashamed and more than a little saddened. "I wished I could have told you sooner, honestly!" He sighed, thinking. "I really ought to explain my actions, and why I was actually unable to tell you. I'll wait til everypony's together so we can discuss it though, so everypony knows exactly why it's been so long..."

But still, he was just too happy to see DJ again, and his feelings took him over as he jumped on DJ in hopes of giving him the biggest hug he could ever give... He didn't care if he was in front of so many posh ponies. He was just happy to finally see his friend again!

But still, he was just too happy to see DJ again, and his feelings took him over as he jumped on DJ in hopes of giving him the biggest hug he could ever give... He didn't care if he was in front of so many posh ponies. He was just happy to finally see his friend again!

"Ahhhh!" DJ cried as Sterling suddenly tackled him with a hug. Hugging back he chuckles. "Gee, I know you're happy to see me Sterling, but isn't that a bit much?" He laughed a little, but was truly glad to see his friend cared so much to see him back (and alive) again.

Sterling continued to hug Sterling as tightly as he could, not willing to let go of his friend. He didn't even care about Evening's thoughts on the whole ordeal! Sterling had kept his excitement inside himself for so long, he couldn't help but to burst at his friend for a deep hug! He missed him so much, and all he could say is, 

 

"DJ's ALIVE! DJ's ALIVE..."

Steel chuckled despite himself at the display. He was happy to see his best friend alive and well, that was partially the reason for his outburst. Why had their friend lied to them all this time? Regardless, he was here now and they were all together again.

 

"Well Dr., if I didn't know you were married, I would tell you two to get a room." Steel lightly joked.

Evening hid a giggle under her hoof at Steel's comment. 

 

"I'm right here you know" she said, giving Steel a little nudge. She grinned Sterling strangled DJ, she too was very happy DJ was alive, though her reservedness keep her from hugging the pony, until Sterling let go of him that is.

 

"I um.." Evening whispered, debating on speaking or not, but, unlike she normally would, she went for the former "I'm really joyful that we could all be together again." she started "You know, as a group. And not much other places would it be better than at Clover's coronation. And that fact that DJ's alive and not dead like we all presumed, well believed.. um.." She started to blush. Her ears drooped a little.

 

"I'm bad with words.." she whispered, looking at the ground. "And ponies", she said even quieter, her face even more red than before "And just speaking and being social at all really.."

DJ couldn't help but burst out laughing. He was so happy to see his friends again, he felt everything was back to normal. He was so glad, he couldn't stop himself from laughing with joy. "You're all just the same as you were back then!" he cried happily. "I'm so glad we're all back together again, just as before!"

@, "Thanks very much, Princess Celestia," Clover replied, happily. "It means a lot to me." When Twilight came over, Clover gave her an impulsive hug. "Is it very difficult to be a princess?" she asked. "I mean, you'd know better than anypony, so maybe you can help me a bit!"

"I'd be glad to help!" Twilight replied with a smile. "I might even right a book on the subject. It would make a change from reading! Maybe. Few study lessons to teach you some of the important points to remember about bing a Princess!"

 

Just then, Twilight stopped and remembered. "Oh! I'd love to keep discussing this with you Clover, but I'm afraid myself and the gels have to go back to Ponyville early!" she said apologetically. "Mayor Mare asked me to open the palace to the public, and she only went an arranged it for the same day!" She giggled at the thought. "We'll hopefully all be back later this evening, and we can certainly talk then!" Following the last of the crowd, Twilight stopped to wave a goodbye to Clovwr before trotting out to meet the rest of the mane six, before they all headed off to Canterlot station.

 

Celestia then came over to Clover. "Would you like to go with you friends to the rest of the festivities? I'm sure you have a lot of catching up to do! We can finish up here and join the rest of the events afterwards." Celestia was so proud to think that two of her students had now become Princesses, and they were both very spectacular Princesses indeed!

@, Clover waved goodbye to Twilight, and when Princess Celestia came up, she replied, "I'd love to. I'll go now, and maybe we can have a talk, later."

 

Clover trotted over to where her friends were gathered. She meant to talk to DJ and find out exactly where he'd been all this time when they'd thought he was dead!

Seeing Clover come over to the group, DJ smiles at her. "Hi Clover!" he said happily. "Congratulations, and well done! That was a brilliant speech! I'll bet being a Princess will certainly be unusual at first, especiallybhaving a pair of wings! I'm sure as you said though, that Steel will do a great job at helping you with them!"

After the ceremony was done, and North felt there would not be much more to be seen, he decided to head over to the now assembling group, his almost identical sister lagging right behind him.

 

"I see ye are gathering here, aye? Have not seen some of ye in a while." North said, as his sister poked out next to him.

"Oh, hey North!" DJ said happily. Then he noticed a second pony, very similar to him. "And... North...?" Rubbing his eyes with his hoof, he looked again. "Umm... Was there always two of you, or is it just me...?" DJ asked the blue pegasus, looking very confused.

 

(Zis is, uh, how you say? Ah! Les filler! )

Sterling eventually got off his best friend in DJ, having given the biggest hug he could ever give... He let DJ talk with the others, allowing himself to brush himself off any debris he may have caught on his shirt while he hugged DJ. He returned to Evening and gave out his apology,

 

"I'm sorry for looking so dumb out there... I couldn't help it. My best friend was lost, but now he is found! This should be a celebration of not just Clover's coronation, but of DJ's resurrection!"

"We didn't have the pleasure of meeting before." Steel said. "Steel Accord Ms. Sun, a pleasure to make your acquaintance." Steel said with a tip of his hat toward the mare. "Your brother has spoken of you in good terms before and is a close friend to all of us." He said.

DJ chuckled as North explained the situation. "Oh, I see! My mistake! The differences are quite clear, now that I look again. Nice to meet you Midnatt!" DJ said with a smile. Hearing the sound of hooves galloping towards them, he turned.

 

"DJ! Everypony!" a voice cried. Suddenly Vinyl burst in, a strange, excited look on her face. "Come quick! There's a fight in the banquet hall! You're all missing it!"

 

DJ wasn't sure whether he was more anxious about the fight that had broken out at such a civilised occasion, or confused about the fact that Vinyl seemed more excited than concerned. "What!?! A fight?" he repeated. Looking to the others, he nodded. "I think we should go check this out!" Immediately he dashed off in the direction of the banquet hall, before Vinyl followed in pursuit...
