books Negima (Manga only) ending waste of time?(SPOILERS)

I don't want to go into to much detail. I used to be a massive Negima fan. But the last 5 out of the 355 chapters destroyed the whole manga for me. Is there anyone who shares the wounds? Because the height of Negima! was the Mahora Festival.

The only thing I don't like about the ending was that they ruined the entire point of the dark direction they were going by allowing her to go back in time. I know it's supposed to be a light-hearted manga but I hate when they do that sort of thing for no other reason than zomghappyendingz.

 

Other than that I thoroughly enjoyed the manga from beginning to end. The magical kingdom story arc was amazing.

I am thinking about the final arc. Chao Lingshen was the real heroine all along. So that also destroys the point of Negi winning at the festival.

Not necessarily. They established that there are two different timelines so they still have work they have to do. Negi winning is less important than the fact that they learned what they needed to in order to save the world. It got them started on the right path.

Save from what though? Chao's method was the same as Negi's. In Negi's timeline(canon) it was the same result that Chao desired and in result we got another Chao Lingshen.

What does the second Chao have to do with anything? The original Chao influenced Negi's understanding and ability to come up with a solution. That's all there is to it. Chao knew what would happen but Negi is the one who put the plan into place to fix the issue.
