My opinion is the same as everyone else: Rainbow Dash's sonic rainboom is one thing among many others that created the mane 6.

I'd rather not argue a straw-man, for starters.

 

Ultimately, it comes down to Pinkie seeing the rainbow is what led her to discover her passion. The rainbow was created by Rainbow Dash, so did she play a part in it? Yes, she did But eventually Pinkie would have to see a rainbow or something down the line, since rain does exist in Equestria and rainbows usually happen post-shower, so the rainbow she'd see post-rainstorm would likely have the same effect as Dash's one she made with the Sonic Rainboom.

Idunno that.  A rainbow =/= a sonic rainboom.  How do you know she hadn't already seen a rainbow before that day on the rock farm?  Since, as you said, rain exists in Equestria and rainbows can occur thereafter.  I have neither dependable figures concerning the frequency with which rainbows occur nor figures concerning the amount of precipitation that falls on rock farms. xD

I'm not sure why you quoted my original post then and then proceeded to argue with me about this. You appeared to think that when I said "it was up to them to become who they are as a pony today" I was trying to say that they would've ended up exactly the same. My point was that they played a role in it themselves since they can make decisions and it's not just events being tossed at them that mold them like clay. A pony has some control on their own over how they react to outside stimuli.

No, it doesn't, but what matters is what Pinkie saw, though, and what she liked was the colors and the brightness of the rainbow - something she wasn't used to, so she clearly hadn't seen a rainbow before.

 

She liked the colors, and it invoked that sort of reaction out of her - so if she had seen a rainbow before, it would've invoked that same reaction based on what she liked about the Sonic Rainboom. So that's how we know she hadn't seen a rainbow before

I don't mind that at all. She definitely helped, there's no denying that. Just didn't agree with that idea that she molded them out of clay and determined everything about them by herself. You didn't say that, but Nightmare Muffin did in the OP.

I think that's a fair point. xD  I guess I just felt like the Sonic Rainboom was being downplayed a bit, or I wasn't getting my point across (my own fault, if that's ever the case).  I was on the verge of making a comment about Pinks seeing a bag of Skittles and THAT triggering her cutie mark. xD (again)

lol indeed,destiny is awkward sometimes. Seriously tho,i try my best not to get mad because my migraines are horrible,the kind where when you talk it gets worse,when you think it gets worse,then you just lie down in a cold room and try to have a blank brain lol

I can sympathize, I know someone who has those kind of migraine problems. I'm lucky that mine aren't that bad, to be honest. Give that head of yours a rest, ya hear?

 

I will say though I was never mad over our disagreement. I personally love to argue, it's like tacos for me. Delicious and greasy.

I don't love to argue but i will gladly go back and forth if i feel strongly about something,but when i get angry i start to get a migraine and it will last for hours and then i need to constantly drink water and try not to think.      

 

That and it doesn't help that i haven't slept in 20hrs lol
