I just did a test on a few bad words, and they just stay there. I think that when words like s*** or f*** are typed in, they should be automatically replaced with some sort of ::beep:: (can be anything). Not that I'm encouraging this kind of behavior, but this is just for when it does happen.

I personally don't think this is necessary. Using words like shit or fuck is perfectly allowable here as long as you don't get excessive about it, as this is a 13+ forum. Pretty much any swear word is allowed in moderation, as long as it's not racist, homophobic, sexist, or otherwise directed toward anyone in an abusive manner.

 

Swearing a few times in your post is fine, but swearing in every sentence wouldn't be the way to go.

What would be a hilarious April Fools joke (I know that is a long way off but still) would be to have it to where swear words were changed to words they rhymed with like "fuck" to truck or "shit" to hit but that will probably never happen here.

As said before, this is a PG-13 site. Cursing in moderation is indeed PG-13, so I think we can all act like adults here. I don't think there's a need to sensor swearing. Besides, changing it to [bleep] looks really tacky.

Nah, cussing really isn't a big problem here, just as long as it isn't a hate speech type of deal, or as others have said every other word is a curse word.

I honestly rarely see cursing here on the forums anyways, so I don't feel as though it is necessary, even when it is used it's usually just in a joking manner and not really to offend someone. 

 

Plus it is a 13+ site, so cursing in moderation is technically ok anyways.

 

And really I don't see a ton of point in censoring as it usually just looks weird or tacky and I already know mostlikely what they said anyways, so whats the point?

Allowing users to cuss is also a sign of trust in this community. We give people the ability to self moderate something like this in hopes that they show they can be mature and civil, not just cussing for the sake of cussing.

I don't know about you but when I've had a shitty fucking day, I like to be able to state as such.

As stated above, self moderation is the key here. I know this community is able to do so which is why Id never be for censoring people.
