"Errr... nice to meet you too, sir." He said, still a bit uncomfortable. He picked the stallion hoof and shacked it.

 

Antler stared at him for a bit. He wasn't sure if he should share his personal quest... at least near Bliss. She could get even more worried. But he also hated lying either. After thinking a little he answered: "You could say it's a family matter. It's just... something that I need to do by myself."

 

He stared at him for a bit longer, watching as he talked about some girl he never met. The young caribou wasn't very romantic, usually finding those love stories pretty boring. There was something however that caught his interest: archery. The little caribou suddenly interrupted Riley by saying: "Sir... did you say she is good with a bow? Do you... also use the bow?"

Bliss giggled at her friend Riley, randomly showed up out of nowhere and divered her conversation with Antler for the moment. She placed a hoof on her muzzle, trying not to laugh so hard seeing the look on the young caribu's face at the sight of such random friendliness gestured upon him. But what caught her eye more was the fact Riley didn't even notice that Lil'Antler was actually a caribu.

 

"Riley," she inturrpted the two, "may I introduce Little Antler, he's not from around these parts. He's actually a caribu, one from the tribes that lives in the tundra. He's visiting Equestria for the time being to find his 'path' I guess you can say."

"Really mister?" Antler eyes got bright, almost giving a small jump. He said excited: "So she is an expert archer? And she does it with only her hooves and her mouth? How much far can she hit? With how much precision? Does she teach others how to do it?"

 

Then Antler noticed Blissy introducing him. "Oh sorry, sir, I forgot to do so. Yes sir, as Blissy said I am Little Antler. I am not from around here, coming from the far north."

 

"...and I also got these." He finished, pointing to his growing antlers.

Bliss gaped, a blank look on her face towards Riley. She turned to Little Anlter then, and back to Riley again...Then abruptly, her bottom lip began to quiver uncontrollably...till it gave forth to hysterical laughter.

 

"OH OH OH!" She whinnied in her laughter, "i can't! Imagine you...wanting to..." she gasped and calmed herself before finally speaking. "Riley! Why would you want me to turn you into a caribu? You don't like being a pony? And even if I tired...I'd probably turn you into a mare! I'm not that good with magic!"

Antler looked at both of them with a weird expression. 'That stallion... want to become a caribou?' He wasn't sure what to say, it just sounded pretty strange to him.

 

He looked at Riley, saying: "Sir, I take as a compliment that you want to know how my kind feels. I really cannot describe it, except that the winter gets comfy and the summer gets pretty hot. I think... you would feel warmer?"

"Sadly though I couldn't forfill that request if you wanted it," she giggled to Riley, "I'm not skilled enough in magic. Heck i get drained from a 2mile teleportation." At that, she closed her eyes, focused her magic, and teleported behind Antler, then in front of Riley, then back to her seat again. "There...phew..." she wiped some sweat in the effort of her magic, "that's the most I can do, along with making my horn glow and some levitation."

She sighed and shook her head.

 

"Like I said Riley, I don't know much about magic, what I displayed and explained earlier is really all I know..." She got off her chair, feeling rather embrassed at this point. "Ahem...escuse me for a second gentlcolt and gentlebu, think I need some more punch..." She slowly walked away towards the table with her head down, gesturing to the barkeeper for another drink.

Little Antler was still feeling weird. Why did Riley want to be small? Was it because he was small too? Antler didn't like having to look up to see the other eyes.

 

Antler suddenly noticed Riley peering into something. He hadn't noticed that it was because he had missed a gumball.

 

The child caribou approached, asking: "Sir, is something there that caught your attention?"

"I... see?" Little Antler had no idea what Riley was talking about. But it seemed like the stallion had some fun adventures with his friends.

 

He could see his point, through: deep down he wondered how an ant hole would look from inside. He was pretty small, but not that small.

Still, that hole caught his attention. He approached where Riley was, asking: "How small is the hole sir? Perhaps my hoof could fit there."

"Oh." Antler replied.

 

"Well, I am new here. I sadly don't know anypony sir." He frowned.

 

"But that gumball seems pretty small. Bliss said she couldn't resize you... but maybe she could levitate it?" Antler suggested. "I am not a wizard, but I don't think lifting it would take a lot of mana."

"Lots of spells?" Antler asked. "Magic really seems a lot of fun."

 

"I wish I could use spells..." Antler frowned a little, before adding: "But I think it must be a lot of work controlling them. From my kind the only ones that know how to use magic are the elders... and they use some kind of talismans to do so."

 

"Sir, perhaps you could ask it to a random unicorn?" Little Antler suddenly suggested. "I don't think they would mind doing a random act of kindness."

Bliss continued to sip her drink at the table, while occassionally eyeing Antler and Riley as they attempted to solve the mystery of getting the gumball out of the mouse hole. She giggled at the idea that they didn't consider looking for a famed pegasus named Fluttershy...I bet she could get a mouse to run in and fetch it for them...that is if the mouse hasn't claimed it already.

 

Sighing to herself, kinda feeling out of the crowd so to speak, she decided to take another glass, using her levitaiton, and finding another place to roam the castle. She hadn't exactly been as explorative lately, knowing she's been to the throne rooms and meeting halls, but didn't exactly roam the kitchens, or hallways with all the decor. Sensing an opprotunity, she decided to head to the towards the throne area where the glass artwork was displayed.

Little Antler just watched as Riley asked a guest for magic, then was turned to a very small size.

 

'Well, that wasn't exactly what I was thinking... I guess he really wanted to see how a mouse hole looked from the inside.', he thought.

 

Kneeling down and standing at the entrance of the hole, Antler asked: "Are you okay there?"

Antler stared at what had happened.

 

'Yup, he really wanted to become small to have some fun.', he thought.

 

Now that he was alone again, perhaps there was some other ponies he could met in this party?

 

Not knowing a lot about the castle, he picked any random direction and left the room.

What... Interests... Him? Eloquence could feel a blush forming in her cheeks, considering the implications. Instead of commenting on it, she gave a brief, quite reply. 

 

"Oh, yes, I suppose so." she said, followed by a shy giggle.

She then looked up with a start, as Ellipsis had taken off from her head and was flying into the main room, something clearly having caught his attention. He disappeared from her view and made his way to a now-tiny Riley, investigating the unusually-sized creature by flying in circles around him.

Seeing her blush, Mirror Image smiles and thinks how cute she looks. "Heh, you ok there? Heh, well I am sorry if something I said, was embarrassing or offensive. Oh well, I hope you are alright, I would hate for you to not be, after all. You are a good friend to me." Mirror Image finally amstops acting all shy.

Hearing that he noticed made her blush even more. She stammered "Oh, no, no I'm, I'm quite alright." Was this flirting? She looked down at Belle still against her. Between Mirror's verbal interest and her, umm, physical advances, Eloquence was starting to feel awfully flustered.

Belles face twitched again as she listened to Mirror and Eloquence talk. She knew she liked Eloquence but she was too scared to tell her cause she was afraid she would reject her. It was always hard for her to to be honest with her feelings. Watching Mirror be honest with her and watching Eloquence blush made her feel even more hopeless in getting close to Eloquence like that or anyone else.  Her head goes down cast as she stands up. She started walking away from them without a word.  She didn't want to be a bother or a third wheel for the two.  She had to realize she was never going to be honest with herself or anyone else about her feelings. She also had to realize cause of her condition she was never going to meet anyone willing to be with her. Tears started to cloud her eyes as she walked away.

"Oh, no, it wasn't, you didn't..." Eloquence struggled to find just the right words before accepting that, in this situation, they probably didn't exist. She felt Belle getting up, saw her walk away looking defeated. So it wasn't just because she was woozy...

 

She took a breath and steeled herself. She hated uncomfortable conversations, and more so the idea of upsetting anypony, or making them not like her, but this couldn't go on. Mirror was being honest, at least between the two of them, but it was time for the three of them to all start being honest with each other.

 

She turned and with all the magic she could muster used the advanced levitation Twilight had taught her to pick Belle up and levitate her back over. She landed with a tiny bit of a thud, still about two feet further away than intended and facing the wrong way, but Eloquence decided it was good enough and continued anyway.

 

"I think the three of us need to have a talk, and I think the two of you know why."

Seeing the levitation trick, Mirror Image had considered fleeing before he realized ut would be useless. "Well, I ain't running off. If I did you woud just pick me up and anyways, I agree, we do. After all. Were all friends here, arent we? And uf we are, that is what matters now."

Eloquence nodded, letting him continue to think that even though she couldn't possibly do that again for a while.

 

"I suppose I should start then." She looked at each of them, hopeful that her words wouldn't fail her. "I know that you both have an interest in me, which is very sweet, and I am flattered that two such lovely ponies would take such interest in little old me." She blushed rather furiously, but continued. "There is an overused and worn-out trope in writing known as the Love Triangle. In it, the protagonist must choose between two love interests, both of whom are equally infatuated and desirable. She spends most of the plot trying to choose before deciding on the one perfect pony for her and living happily ever after. Life, on the other hand, is not a novel. The safe pattern of easy tropes is often shattered by reality, and my reality is especially adept at shattering this particular trope." She was stalling with her words, and she knew it. She took a deep breath.

 

"What I'm trying to say is..." Another breath. "I am polyamorous. As in, I can have relationships with more than one pony at a time. I understand that both of you are likely monogamous, as most ponies are, and I understand that my sexuality might confuse you, maybe even make you dislike me..." She looked down for a moment. "But my mind and heart were wired to believe that there is no reason to confine something as wonderful as love to one pony at a time, just like it was wired for me to like both mares and stallions."

 

"You are both such kind and interesting ponies, and I would like to get to know both of you better. But, I suppose that is the issue, I like you both, but unlike the proper romance novel heroine, there is nothing in my heart that compels me to choose between you."

(Awesome, I can play Mirror Image as the idiot stereotypical guy.... yeah no. And damn just damn, uh, let me think while I re wire my brain.)

 

Mirror Image falls over. "I did nit see that coming. Absolutely not. Besides that dislike part, if you really think either of us judge like that, I highly doubt belle does, you don't realize us as who we are. Look at me, have I judged any of all? I talked to a bloody princess and a psychotic kid like they were two regular ponies earlier. I don't judge anypony except by thier actions."

Belle was dumbfounded. Not only was Eloquence willing to to give her a chance to be more then friends but she was also willing to be with both her AND Mirror Image! Her brain was  farting hard and she started twitching in her face and her body. When it was done she looked at both Eloquence and Mirror Image. She was kind a open to the idea even though she never been in a relationship like it. Or any relationship at all for that matter. She also thought she should start being honest with herself and everyone else. Like Eloquence  was being right now.  

 

As a blush started to fill her face she cleared her throat. "I-I'm willing to give it a shot." Then she looked over to them both. " I'm b-bi so I wouldn't mind being in a relationship either one of you." She looks over to Mirror Image with the same blush. "A-and I kinda like you as well, Mirror."

And, well honestly it is all up to Eloquence, and if she prefers friends, then I will be hapoy as that, so either way, ah damn I sound so stupid. I just don't have a clue as to what to say.
