He was glad to be accepted, but he still lacked the company of the pony he came here to see, but by now it was time to adjust and just hope that she was just running late. 

 

Suddenly he heard a slight bush shaking right behind him and he immediately knew he was being watched he lit up his horn and quickly levitated whatever was behind him. Then he slowly turned around and he widened his eyes. He just accidentally caught the Princess of Peace. 

 

"Eh, sorry." 

 

He slowly put her back on the ground, Dark Star knew he shouldn't have reacted to the situation like this, but he was still presence sensitive and wary, something that stayed with him from his past job. 

 

[i was actually writing this before Rileys post, and I really do not feel like editing it. ]

With a tiny Riley on her nose, and being abruptly picked up by magic against her will, Bliss was lowered down in a sitting position, blinking at the odd scene.

 

"Um..." she blinked again, her tongue was all tied up. "Should I go?" She blinked again innocently, not sure what was going on before she turned to Riley, "and what happened to you?" she wiggled her nose where he sat.

Eloquence looked up and addressed the tiny pony. "Don't make me regret this, you little hitchhiker."

Watching the scene of Bliss' reappearance, she couldn't help but giggle a bit, and did her best to conceal her amusement with a hoof to her mouth. She then watched as Plot Device returned Riley to his proper size, utterly confused. She began to stammer. "W- wait, Mr. Plot De-... Oh, never mind." she finished with a huff.

"I still do niot understand what is happening. Like why us the kid pony now shrunk down to the size of my eyeball. Am I the only one who is lost?" Looking a belle and Eloquence, "a little help here? Some explanation maybe because I am lost. Completely."

Eloquence hadn't expected him to turn around, and was now struggling to find something to say. "I, I was just rather taken aback by your abilities in magic, and your inexplicable timing, is all..." she said while wondering how a pony ended up with the special talent of inexplicable timing.

"Umm, no, no I think I'm alright. I mean, unless I could get you to chat with me for a moment." She readied her writing materials. "You see, I'm actually covering this event for the Daily Canter, and-" Her sentence came to an abrupt stop as she listened to Riley and Mirror. "Wait, you're my age?" she called over to him. "Huh, interesting..."

"I can't believe you are as old as me acting so child like. It us, odd and unusual. then again, we never did discuss how old any of us are did we. I apologize for making an assumption like that. Please forgive me. I should not have made such a mistake and I will not again"

Bliss giggled as the confused group continued to talk amongst themselves as she simply stared and listened. Though when they all mentioned her age, she kinda shrunk down again, feeling a bit out of place amongst them now.

 

"I guess it's too late to say I'm older then most of you..." she gulped a bit. "I'm actually 28yrs old."

Eloquence giggled and shook her head, smiling at the two stallions. Silly things...

She trotted over to Bliss and nudged her gently. "That's ok. I don't mind you being older than me, and I don't think anyone else does either. That's assuming you don't find us too immature, of course."

"Eh, age is just a number I guess. I mean look at me and that one there, Riley. No offense man. Although at our shrub think being a princess would difficult. At your age you know more and have more experience and it seems like I an calling you old, I should shut my mouth now."

Bliss blushed red even more at Mirrors statement, particularly the 'old' part, but couldn't help to muster a giggle before flinging her wings back over her face and leaning up against Riley.

"I just never considered ages as a factor," she whimpered under her wings, "i just assume everypony I meet is my age or close at least. I guess I can get along with any age too, but it feels silly when I realize I'm talking to ponies half my age I guess. Though don't get me wrong! I love talking to any age!" She pawed the ground, "I guess I'm more immature then some ponies would think."

She blinked oddly at Riley's comment, not sure whether to giggle or frown, but decided the positive feedback was better then nothing. She gave a heart warming laugh, and stood up.

 

"I suppose I am friends with many younger ponies, maybe not even being aware of it!"

Eloquence stammered, watching as Plot Device returned to be strangely convenient once again. She couldn't place it, but there was something she strongly disliked about the stallion, he struck her as oddly annoying somehow and... lazy? She wondered why that word even came up in her mind, but sighed and decided not to question it, instead just smiling encouragingly at Bliss. "You know some ponies say age is just a number." she said. "I think I would agree with that, to an extent at least."

"I would normally agree with that too...but when you start to feel your age," she stood up, and humorously, a few discs in her spine cracked quite loudly. It was typical for that to happen of her, especially he she was sitting down for too long or over worked herself on walking, running, or even fighting...like what happened a few hours agao with Chase Razor. "It's not so much number if you 'feel it'."

 

Shaking the dirt from herself, she stared at the group then.

 

"What should we do now everypony?"

"Well, I think we were going to go get frozen yogurts, but I am not quite sure, this is me the visitor to the whole group so I don't have much power here. " 

 

Dark Star felt awkward saying that, especially because he was the visitor the group and this straight of felt to him like pushing on the group on something he wanted to do like a spoiled child. 

 

From his last experience Star didn't precisely like Lightning Bliss, he also felt a bit disgusted by what she helped create within Chase Razor, but this was not his night to hold grudges. 

 

"Also, greetings, Princess of Peace. " He said with a little bit of a mock from his side but not really having it detectable by anyone else. "Well, if anyone still wants to go get frozen yogurts, then.... yeah...." He turned towards the frozen yogurt booth that is not far in the corner.

At that Bliss's stomach rummbled at the words 'frozen yogurt' and quickly got up. She eagerly approached this unicorn DarkStar she recalled hearing his name, and nodded like an excited filly.

 

"If you know a booth here at the Galla that's selling the yogurt I'd be happy to go with you!" She smiled, not once catching the tone in his voice. She wouldn't know if he had one, after all she didn't know who he was or why he'd hold a grudge against her in the first place. "I really love chocolate but I'm always open to new flavors. Are there kinds you like Mr. Star?"

He was glad that he was not completely rejected and that the Princess joined him. 

 

"I go fancy and childish, I like normal natural frozen yogurt with sweet gummies and fresh and dried fruit, not to mention top that all of with sweet raspberry sauce and sprinkles. " 

 

He paused just thinking about that fancy food. "Oh yes-s-s. Well, I like adding things to my frozen yogurts, like, a lot of things. I think they have gummies here, and I am quite sure they have fruit. I honestly never ate a simple frozen yogurt without any toppings."

Bliss giggled at Riley's random ranting, as she followed Star to the booth.

 

"I never considered adding toppings to it," she realized, "I guess I've always kept it simple. Maybe I can go for some coffee flavor with chocolate and peanutbutter candy if they got it! Mmmmm!"

Star got to the booth owned by a mare and a stallion that was just around the corner from where they both before. 

He felt a bit downed because they didn't have gummies, so he decided to go for something new and ordered coffee flavored with sprinkles and lots of blueberries. Paying for it he took a spoonfull of the yogurt with blueberries and savored the taste. 

 

"You know, I never thought coffee frozen yogurt would be this good, I haven't really had much coffee ever, and the only kind I had was just horrible, but it still lacks gummies."

 

Dark Star smiled a bit at Riley since he seemed to be acting very funny and clearly having a good time. But still he felt some sort of emptiness that this night was not going as it was supposed to, and he dose of to daydreaming for a couple of seconds.

"Oh Riley..." she rolled her eyes as she ordered not just coffee flavored but mixed with chocolate flavored instead, topped with her own rainbow sprinkles. She hesitently lapped at it, and savored the taste...then her eyes lit up at the sweetness and she began taking more and more long licks. "Mmmm...so good, *shivers* and cold!" She giggled as she caught up to DarkStar.

 

"So, what brings you to the Galla?"

Eloquence greeted the couple before selecting her yoghurt, vanilla piled with various fruits and chocolate sauce. She paid for her treat, plus a little extra, and contentedly ate while listening to the conversation of the other ponies. Ellipsis flitted off her head just long enough to lap up a tiny bit of Elo's yoghurt.

"Heh I guess we're both lucky then," Bliss replied back to Riley, "though I really didn't find a ticket, more like recieved one, with a formal request by Princess Luna...She insisted that I come to the galla to make another appearence to 'our' subjects but..." She shrugged, "I dunno, I guess I don't like parties as much if I'm going to be gawked at like some 'show pony.'"

He turned to Bliss, trying to now show any weaknesses, truth was he could have been as fake as he wanted to and was quite the talented actor, but deep inside he was weak to emotions, but yet he managed to keep his posture and all while speaking. 

 

"Last gala, you know, the one where you had me arrested by the guard and I almost had my skull fractured I met a pony who I had great time with and that changed me a lot. " Dark Star felt quite awkward speaking it, not really trying to give away much of the pony since he felt rather uncomfortable with the subject, but decided to end up going for the truth since he was a grown stallion after all, and he had really nothing to lose here. "Anyway, I decided to leave the gala early because I didn't feel well, so I reported to the guard and I had my trial in the middle of the gala. In the end Celestia decided to have me pardoned for my crimes, not just like that tho. Anyway, I left the gala and I promised the mare I met a dance in the next one. And since we couldn't really meet during the year, this was going to be our night of interaction in a long-ish while. " He lowered his ears in sadness, actually letting a bit of his emotions leek out. "But doesn't look like she is coming, even if I did buy her the ticket. " 

 

He decided to stay quiet and got back to eating his ice-cream after telling the story trying to beat his sadness with food, but decided to add one more part.

 

"Also, after the gala I quit all my previous activities and with the money I had I begun a landlord business, and it grew in the past year. So this time I legally got the ticket."

Bliss stopped mid lick and turned in shock as Darkstar mentioned the past gala. She hadn't remembered that incident, it was a negative one she didn't want to remember. But now it was all flashing back to her. She blushed red with embrassment realizing he spoke of it in front of the others. She knew that last time, though the circumstances weren't forseen till it was too late, it was her fault at what happened to the poor stalllion in the first place. His entire night at the gala was ruined because of it.

 

"I..." she dropped her ice yogurt on the ground. She stared at it for a moment, slight dissapointment, that only seemed to fuel a tear out of her eye, "I had no idea...you were...that stallion... I had tried to forget about that Gala incident...I...I'm so sorry, I can't stay right now with you gentlecolts and mares... Excuse me..."

 

She turned then abruptly, and walking towards the ballroom.

(Wow, I hate get stop nd to posting and bliss is leaving again? Dear Gods.)

 

Having zones out Mirror Image realized they all left to go get sine frozen yogurt. "Damn it, I can't believe I did that." Running over to the frozen yogurt place he saw bliss leaving and wondered what happened. Bathing in he kids to a stop all non elegantly like.
