"We need to stay here and wait for Lucas," Croaks said, "The only crap we have are the few bags we brought with us."

Croaks knew he wasn't being honest. He still remembers the device he found. But why would anyone care?

Once Darts was well into the forest he stopped, he tried to stretch his unresponsive wings and sighed. He sat down on a rock and began to cry silently. He heard someone crashing through the forest after him but he ignored it, lost in his thoughts.

Blaze saw darts crying and sat beside him saying "Darts, I know its hard, without working wings, at-least you will have them working after this, mine have broken, I have it worse than you, I love flying, I Can't bare it without my wings either, We need to get threw this, then we can go and you can fly again."

Darts shook his head, "no you don't understand, flying is my life, my whole world revolves around it. I was born to fly and if I can't it's just the same as dying for me." He rested his face in his hooves.

Blaze replies "Darts, uh, we just need to find the cause of this all and we can all fly again, come on, its not going to be hard, and you can fly again, If you want, I can try my magic again, but i doubt it would work."

Croaks took another bite out of his granola bar, thinking no one is watching.

Darts looked up at her, "if you think it would help, can you?" He asked pleadingly.

Lovely had sat silently in a grounded raft. She was still in shock. She watched quietly as the other ponies tried to fly and sue their magic, only to fail. Lovely tried to lift her bag with her unicorn magic, but not shockingly it didn't work. Lovely picked up her saddle bag with her mouth and walked onto the beach. Lovely sat down next to Croaks, "are we dead? Is this hell?"

"Not dead," Croaks said, "Not in hell either. Apparently we're supposed to be here."

 

Staring off into space, Croaks still remembers the device he had been given.

Meanwhile, Keel was pacing about the shore, thinking about all that has happened so far. His mind was filled with concern for the remaining passengers, and with guilt for putting them in such a situation. All he could do was pray to Celestia that they were safe. For now, he pulled out another map, this one displaying the island they were one. It was fairly rudimentary, but Keel could understand it quite easily. His eyes perused the map, scanning for a specific spot.

Lovely opened her bag and began to fix her hair and make-up the 'earth pony' way. She was struggling, but could manage. Luckily she had been doing make-up before her powers matured and had some experience, however hunting, gathering and building was something she was dreading. "Don't you think it's weird how there is fog all over this island, except on the island?" She looked at Croaks with suspicion. "I don't even know what time of day it is," Lovely dug in her bag and pulled out a wrist watch on the end of her horn, "look," she showed Croaks the time on the watch. The watches' hand were spinning out of control in all directions.

Croaks looked at Lovely's watch with a shocked face.

"Uh, well, I have a digital," he said as he looked at his.

In fact, it was working just fine.

"I guess the island's just something magnetic," he said to Lovely, "See? Mine says 5:30 AM."

 

He saw the captain pacing around and then stopped to look at a map. Croaks said, "Excuse me," then went to the captain.

 

"Sir, I'd like to ask you about something I found," Croaks said to him.

Keel turned his attention from the map to Elliptical Bratwurst Goose (also known as Croaks). "What did you find?" Keel inquired.

Lucas Is running through the wood with a stick in his mouth on side with a bag of berries the other full of water he see's Darts and Blaze and runs right past them trying to tell them to run but cant because of the stick.

Darts looks up when he sees Lucas run by him, 'huh?' He got up and ran after him, "hey, whats up?" He called out, forgetting his distress immediately.

Blaze Stumbles to her feet and follows Lucas as well, But not for what's going on, "LUCAS!, I feel like i could just faint right now." She yelled and collapsed as she fainted.

Lucas stops and puts the Stick down "Now's not the time" As he say's this it appears a giant Black bear "This really isnt my day" He turns to Darts "Get this back to the others i ll get her" He runs for blaze grabbing her and running back to the beach.

Croaks was about to tell the captain when all of a sudden Darts comes out running with bags of food and water hung on a stick that he was carrying.

 

Shortly after, Lucas came running out, carrying Blaze.

"Lucas!" Lovely shouted excitedly at the sight of her friend, she was happy he was okay, but then her smiles turned to worry when she saw him carrying a pink alicorn (Blaze). "Bring her over here!" Lovely demanded, "I did some medical studying when I was a teenager, I might be able to help." Lovely turned to Darts, "is that fresh water? Bring it to me."

Lovely gazed at the alicorn, she had seen her briefly, for some reason she had given Lovely comfort from afar whilst on the life boats.

Lucas places Blaze By Lovely and Turns "I think i lost it" He said Panting then falls over from exhaustion passing out.

"What was that?" Darts asked panting heavily.

[Croaks 251]

"How many times are we gonna pass out today?" Croaks said, "Well, good thing you got water. including the bag you got and the bottles I have, we still barely have a day's worth. The food is even less."

Lovely splashed the cold water on the face of Blaze and Lucas, waking them up. She then picked up a nearby stick with her hoof and jammed it down their throats causing them to throw-up and then gave them fresh water to drink.

Lovely looked up at Croaks, "The water will hydrate them and the barfing will knock them out of their shock. We've been threw a lot here," Lovely said wiping her her forehead from the heat, "so don't blame them for passing out."

Croaks said, "I wasn't blaming anyone. After all, in oretty sure we've all passed out at least once during this whole thing."

Croaks looked at Lucas, who was panting, and said, "What were you running from, Lucas?"
