Human in Equestria. I don't even need the assumption people have here that I'd be able to meet any part of the Mane 6. Hell I don't need to meet anyone famous. Their world is lovely and chaotic enough as it is for me.

I dislike both choice... D: I need to live with my partner and friends but I don't want to be the only humans in Equestria even if they COULD come. On the other hand, Princess Celestia could probably figure out a plan unlike option 2, so if I must choose, I pick 1, only if my partner can come though, otherwise I just ditch Discord

To answer my own question; I would pick being a human in Equestria. Flutters seems like the kind of pony who would take in newcomers who look odd and I could perhaps persuade Twilight to altering my body into something more adept to Equestrian living, cause I am no where near able to defend myself against or work among beings as strong and powerful as your typical Equine that lives there.

Leaving my friends behind at the drop of a hat would be the worst possible thing not only to happen to them, but to me. I wouldn't trade my friends for anything, not even Equestria!

 

But if I'm a pony here, I could easily go into hiding at friend's houses, and if I'm caught, well, as you said, ponies are much stronger than humans, right?

I'd choose to be a human in equestria.  why?  because if I went to equestria at all then I could go find Twilight Sparkle and ask her use the shape shifting spell on me.  That spell was able to turn a Unicorn, two Pegasi, two Earth Ponies, and an Alicorn into Breezies.  I don't think it's much of a stretch to say it could turn a human into a Pegasus.

besides, it's not like humans are completely unheard of in Equestria.  There were humans in "Rescue at midnight castle" (yes I am referencing that pile of garbarge) and according to "Twilight's Kingdom" that 30 year old episode is canon to Gen 4.  Besides, I think in EqG, Celestia mentioned that she knew humans at one point.  Basically, option 1 sounds way more appealing.

HiE. Humankind as a whole hasn't completely gotten over it's superstitious beliefs & irrational fears. We don't need those being kickstarted in this age of paranoia & worry for the end of days. 

 

Humans as a whole don't react well to change. Anything that is seen as different is usually feared, hated, & ostracized. It is better to have the mundane and the proven issues of the well known, established, routine and typical world, than take a risk with the unknown. That is mankind's greatest fear. The unknown. 

 

What's more unknown than a talking horse that demonstrates the one thing humankind has been trying to disprove it's whole existence: magic. That, and humans don't do well when other humans display odd traits. How will they react when there's an intelligent, alien life form on this planet. It would be a paradigm shift. You are no longer alone. Are there more among us? Are they here to conquer? Will we become extinct? Is it a hellspawn? Was the Bible right? Was the Torra right? Was the Quran right? Was that one homeless dude down the block right? Human kind cant even handle it's own madness. How will it handle an intelligent non-human creature.

 

That is, if the government doesn't take me and my family first and make it look like we were never there. 

 

No. As much as it would suck to lose all that I'm familiar with, I'll take HiE. Ponies aren't the only intelligent species around. So I won't be anything too crazy. They would be a lot nicer than most humans, and I would get to live in a world here anything is truly possible. 

 

Besides, I'll just go back through the mirror portal. Problem solved.
