Do you know as many typical cliches in anime/manga?

  1. Characters' motivations and actions occur through predestination. You have a lot of "destiny" this and "destiny" that, and that cliche is tiring. What makes it so cheap is how instead of letting the characters do all the work, you're using contrived plot devices to do the work for you, and you always have an out by letting it hang over you. I see that in a few anime, including Digimon, Kannuzuki no Miko, and Sailor Moon.

The hot spring scene. There's one reason for this: to see female characters get naked. In other words, a cliche (fan service) in a cliche (hot spring scene). You'll see them in hundreds of anime, including ones where children are the base demographic.

Female characters acting temperamental. Sometimes to prove their independence, they behave abusively. I see that a lot, including Love Hina (I actually hate the lead female character because she's so violent) and Girls Bravo (the male character's brother contracted hives thanks to the abuse he got from females, including his sister).

The harem anime. It's such an overused cliche, they made a whole genre out of it!

In every Culture Festival, a certain "Couple" gets left alone by the group and they end up having a romantic scene where they get interrupted by a member of said group just a second before they kiss. Also on other occasions.

Oh yeah, there's usually a firework scene at the end where a girl confesses to the protagonist or if the girl is a protagonist struggles to confess. :3

Males blushing at the sight of Yukatas.

Can't think of any more atm...
