Oh yeah! Pandaren represent! /)*

Out of curiosity though, why them? Just because you didn't display much interest in them until now.

I saw the mists of pandaria cinematic trailer somewhere on youtube. It looked really cool.

I don't care what pony you like because I like everypony!

If Pandaren could be Death Knights, I would heavily consider race changing...but Orcs just seem like the best choice for the Horde, thematically.

If the Pandaren could be Death Knights, I'd die a little inside. It's bad enough the Draenei, my other favorite race can be them . . . . and seem to make up the majority!

Well as a mage, you're not going to be going all fists of fury like Chen was in the trailer. As well, you won't see Pandaria itself until late in the game.

Me, I play that to my character. He's never seen Pandaria but wants to rediscover his heritage.

So you like to roleplay? Is it really fun?

Well anypony who likes RP on the forum would love to do so in WoW. I do love to RP my characters. You can prattle on about saving the village/island/continent/world all you want, but unless you make a personal connection with who you are in the world, it will just become another level grind.

Interacting with other characters is an absolute treat, the connections you can make make the game world feel that much more alive. Like people actually live in Azeroth. (Not unlike how we care so much about Equestria, because effort is made to make the ponies behave like people who have lives.)

It's not for everyone, but I recommend trying it every now and then just to see if it clicks. If you need help developing a character or assistance with the lore, give me a shout.  :)

You know, I roleplay my character in a way too when I play WoW. It makes the experience a lot more enjoyable. Although I've never looked into roleplaying in any sort of written, organized form (even though I would probably have a lot of fun doing so if I put in the effort). I've always thought about learning how to roleplay on here and with others in WoW, I'm just not sure where to begin.

Well first of all, often it doesn't have to be planned. Sometimes characters just interact with each other the same way any two people would. Sometimes scenes can be written out, but for the most part, it's often just improv.

Anything specific you want to ask?

I don't usually engage in actual role play with people, but I like to think of personalities and back stories for all my characters. I think it makes interacting with the game's world more enjoyable.

Absolutely. I talk to NPCs, emote at appropriate times. Overall, I go for total immersion. Trust me though, one or two conversations can just make it all that more real.

One of the few times I've actually roleplayed with a random person was with this other death knight in SW. We randomly started roleplaying for a while, it was hilarious and awesome. I have screenshots somewhere, I'll see if I can dig them up.

I'll send you a PM to avoid going too off topic.

I've been thinking about giving the Roleplaying side a try because it sounds really fun. I wanted to do a worgen as an evil warlock that everyone thinks is evil but she's out to prove the world she's not. I sometimes get carried away with stories like this and make them up even if I never use them.

Well actually a Worgen Warlock is better to tell that kind of story than most. But not for the reasons you might think.

The werewolf thing isn't that big a hurtle, the Alliance is kind of used to different races by now. The Draenei actually had a harder time integrating because they are the spitting image of a demon that came close to destroying Azeroth. (In fact, they are the same race, but that's a different story.)

The Worgen hail from Gilneas, whom went isolationist and abandoned the Alliance long ago. The Gilneans now have something to prove to the rest of the Alliance. Many might not completely trust them as of now due to their past.

Being a warlock only adds another layer of suspicion. While holding congress with demons won't get you flogged, Warlocks are still seen as "useful" and all the suspicion that implies.
