How long did discord rule equestria

So Does anyone knows how long that discord Ruled equestria we know it was before luna but there is not mutch evedence pointing towards his past

I'm not too certain on this but apparently he ruled before the time of Order (Celestia/Luna) for quite some time.

They did mention this being 1000 years or so in the past when Discord was overthrown, before that I'm fairly certain the world would be like a primordial state such as the Everfree Forest across the whole of Equestria.

 

Now this period of time would be quite an extensive reign for discord, beyond time even, who knows!

Well, according to the journal of the two sisters they ruled before they were fully grown mares, and raised the sun and moon for the unicorn kingom that had become Equestria with the birth of the royal sisters. So according to that he must not have ruled long, because the royal duo had "ruled" before they were the fully grown mares that are shown taking down discord in the flash back.

 

So if anything, I don't think he ruled all that long, or there would have been more perminant damage on Equestria in my own personal head canon I have ruling a span of about 20-40 years with him being overthrown around 10 years before the rise of NMM

The only problem is that we know one thing discord came after equestria was born and we don't know when that time came so we canot make a exact date.

 

but if he did not rule that long when did luna and celestia apaer because we know they where not full grown mares i think they would be around 20 years then if   that is the states but what is the background story of luna and celestia we don't know mutch about that do we

 

so that leaves me out with the question when did they apear
