"... I'll take that as your word." Stephen said, lifting an eyebrow at how curt the queen sounded; if he was intimidated, he made a good show of hiding it. "Now hurry up if you wanna get a shower in, 'cause my brother'll be out soon..." Stephen said before grabbing the car keys.

Shawn had finished his meal whilst listening to the sound of someone entering the bathroom and showering. "Well, I guess I'd better get up!" He finished his meal before kissing Aegis on the cheek once more. "We gotta go out and get you and Queen Obnoxious some clothes! Do you wanna go first, or should I?"

"Certainly. If you'd kindly show me where the bathroom is, I'd be most grateful." Chrysalis said, forcing herself to be polite. She made a mental note to find a way to vent later, before things got out of hand. Maybe she'd feel a little better after having some water run down on her.

Aegis blushed again when Shawn kissed his cheek. "You can go first if you want to. And...thanks for staying with me last night when I was scared. I'm usually more confident and not so easily scared, but last night was kinda stressful for me. Not to sound clingy or overly dependent, but I don't think I could've made it through last night without you."

Alex saw a woman stumble outside. Normally, he'd ignore it. It wasn't his problem, was it? No, of course it wasn't. But all the same, he flicked the safety on his airsoft gun and stuffed it in his pocket, put on the pair of shoes he left by the door, and headed out over to the woman.

 

Upon approach, he noticed her strange hair colour. It must be a really extreme dye job, 'cause only the really hardcore cosplayers get such intricate colouring done. They tended to botch it, though. "Ma'am, are you ok? Had a bit to much to drink tonight?" He asked, assuming she'd been out partying and had a little too much booze. Then again, a lot of people enjoyed parties and drinking, so it wasn't an entirely wrong assumption.

Chloe should've expected Rainbow to be less than pleased with the reception of the old men, which made her feel all the more foolish when she let loose.

 

"You really have no idea, do you? How can anypo...anyone be so stupid and inconsiderate that they have to resort to remarks about my hair colour? Like I have any control over that! Yea, I could probably try to dye it." The Pegasus said, before her voice softened. "I actually have tried. I'll leave it to you to figure out why it didn't work. But even if it did, what good would it accomplish? I'm not ashamed about my hair colour; in fact it's quite the opposite. I'm not going to change the way I am just because some random losers don't like it. My friends accept me for who I am, and that's all that matters to me."

 

"I'm not asking you to change anything about yourself physically," Chloe began. "And I'll go back out there and talk to them, but try not them get to you. They're--" Chloe paused to find the right words. "They're old men who're very much stuck in their ways. And here, in this world, you'll find a lot of people like that. It's because that-- Your hair isn't exactly normal, you see. I'm sure you've noticed, but humans don't naturally have hair like yours. In fact, there are a lot of things that're different about humans..." Chloe sighed, wondering where she was heading with what she was saying. "Not everyone's gonna get on your case and make you upset, though... There are humans out there who'll accept you the way you are, Dash. They'll even want to be your friends, every bit as much as you're friends with the others." She added, hoping that it would lift Rainbow's spirits at least a little.

 

"Chloe, I need you out here! We're getting a rush!" Her father called, to which she groaned, but placed a hand on Rainbow's shoulder. "Oyyy~...Tell you what. I'll finish serving those guys, and you can wait in the other patrons for tonight. When we get home, we can start looking for your friends. If we're lucky, we'll find at least one of them."

 

"Chloe!" Her father called again.

 

"Be right out, dad!" She called. "Leave those men to me. But can you help me with the others? I swear, they'll be much nicer!"

Rainbow's temper slowly started to cool down as she listened to Chloe's response, as the former pegasus could see the truth in what Chloe was saying. Hopefully, everyone wasn't going to be as mean as these guys were. She just needed to ignore them and move on. Above all this, Dash did not have it in her to simply give up because a few people were giving her a hard time. Ponies back home had been doing that ever since she was a filly. She was not going to let this drag her down, as this wasn't just about her, it was about her friends. Her being reunited with them depended on being able to adjust to this new home she now had.

 

But then, Chloe asked her something that confused her.

 

"Leave those men to me. But can you help me with the others? I swear, they'll be much nicer!"

 

"Um...yea...of course I'll help you." Rainbow replied, blinking a few times. "Did you forget who you were talking to?" She asked sarcastically. "Yea, I'm not entirely thrilled about it, although I'm pretty sure you picked up on that already. But, I said that I would do this, so I'm going to finish it. How about we get back out there, since it seems we're wanted?"

Cadance furrowed her brow as she tried to take in the new surroundings. "Drink? No I uh..." Then she looked to the stallion...No, that wasn't right. The...male, so it seemed, based off his voice, who had addressed her. Wow, he looks weird, she noted to herself. She went to take a step forward and stumbled again, this time completely losing her balance with an undignified oomph Cadance fell to the ground unceremoniously. She went to stand, putting half her weight on her forelegs, and feeling very ungainly, she looked up towards the male who had spoken. Or at least that was what she had meant to do, and instead ended up with a crick in her neck. It seems this new body didn't agree with what she perceived by her pony one. Finally, she scrambled to two limbs the way the male was. "No drinks. Just...lost...I guess. Uh..Where am I?"
