So, I was Just Wondering About Pinkie's Pie Concept. Did She Used To Be Named Party Pie Or Something?

 

What Was Her Plushie Concept? I was Just Wondering....

I believe she had a different colour scheme and she was originally a pegasus, that's all I know.

Well seeing how they look, I'm quite glad that they changed it. Since the color schemes look very odd.

All of the Mane Six were going to be G1 ponies... But Hasbro didn't have all the rights...

Pinkie was supposed to be Surprise! (referenced in the first episodes since the first actual word she speaks is Surprise!)

Twilight Sparkle was going to be just Twilight

Applejack (and Spike) they still had the names for

The rest ended up with G3 names...

Rainbow dash  instead of Firefly

Fluttershy instead of Posey

and Rarity instead of sparkler...

I'm glad they changed them. I don't know how they looked in G1, but those colors are really not working for me with G4's art style.

I'm a huge G1 fan, but yes... The colours don't translate too well... Of course if they were the colours we knew perhaps we'd like them better? I mean I Posey Fluttershy has the same colour scheme in that pic, but she looks really weird to me since she doesn't have wings...

I'm so glad they didn't go with this, the colours are just so dull and it makes them all look the same(except for Applejack and Fluttershy).
