"Sorry. No. It's not gonna happen again because I shouldn't be soo preoccupied anymore. And I'm going home. Like I said, Bribes make the world go round, and me being rich helps me with that", he said simply as he adjusted his saddlebags after they were jostled when they collided.

"Bribing doesn't always work. But, you never said you were rich, you just said you had money being sent by somepony else. In fact it seemed like you were broke. And I can't believe you bought a house! You did all that while I was in school?"

 

She was actually kind of excited that he had bought a house, even if it didn't have much to do with her.

"Of course I'm rich. If you recall, my father was King Sombra and had amassed himself quite a fortune while he is his away before Cadence completely took hold of the Castle. Now I had it sent to me. And Bribes work plenty if you're rich.... Course for me, fear works just as well", he said with a growl in his voice and a shadow in his smile.

Silver shrunk back, Rampart was starting to creep her out.

 

"You know... some ponies would rather do the right thing... than accept your money."

 

She replied solemnly.

 

"I've got to go home, or else my parents might worry about me again."

 

She said backing away slowly.

He shook his head and nodded. "Yeah... I know... You're right.... But like I said, I do kind of have a demon living inside of my head.... So sorry if I do some things that aren't exactly good....", he said with a mix of apology and snide. "And I'm sorry that I needed a house and no one would sell to me because I'm a monster and I'm sorry that I'm sick of sleeping under bridges".

Silver wan't sure exactly what Rampart meant by his "apology". She did know that she really ought to go home before too late, or she may not be able to go out by herself again.

 

"Well... maybe I can go see your house sometime. I... guess I'll see you later today...maybe."

'' That bribe was just to somepony to use my money to pay for the property with my money since I probably couldn't walk in and buy it.. So really I just paid somepony to buy something... And, you don't to make up stuff for my benefit and get my hopes just to Stomp on them when you never actually come over, you know", he said before turning and walking off toward the park.

"Wait!"

 

She said loudly, before he walked too far away.

 

"I'm not just making things up... to be honest, you were just... starting to scare me a little... But I will see you again sometime, I just really have to go home now or else my parents may not let me go alone. Please... don't be mad"

"The go home already if you're so afraid your parents will be worried, I've got things to do anyway", he snapped. He wasn't mad at her and hadn't meant to snap but it stung that all she to worry about were worried parents, at least she had parents who cared about her, but he wouldn't admit what his problem was, he was too proud to.

She turned away with her eyes watering. She was hoping to see him earlier, but somehow everything turned for the worse. She couldn't remember how it went wrong, if it was something she said. She wondered when they would talk again, but she wasn't sure she felt like seeing him again today.

He turned paid headed off towards the park, after removing his sunglasses the and the shadows filter out from his eyes, not caring about any consequences. He would up sitting at the pond they had been at the day before, watching the kids to try and calm himself down before pulling a half of a Horn from his saddlebags and fastening it to the chain he was the wearing(The horn belongs to another oc of mine, Dusk Shade, who lost half of his Horn while fighting Sombra, Sombra kept it as a trophy(Will be in Dusk Shade's updated bio and now Rampart has it, hoping it will allow him to push back his anger and with it his inherited evil).

As soon as Silver got home, she went up to her room. She did not really want her parents to know how she was feeling at the moment, otherwise she would have to explain. Though if she stayed there too long they might get worried too. She tried to contemplate whether she should try to go find him again or not.

After a while at the pond watching the Koi, he walked to his house which had a nice view of the park. He dropped his keys on a table and went to sleep on his couch, not in the mood to bother eating or sleeping in the bed. "Great.. Silver tries to be my friend and I ruined it".

Silver fell asleep a little earlier that night. Sitting in bed made her feel tired. The next morning, she got up earlier than usual. She hurried up and got some breakfast, then got ready to leave. She decided to leave earlier and head for the park. If Rampart wanted to talk, he would know where to find her. She knew that if she was the only true friend he ever had, she had to be there for him.

Rampart once again didn't bother to eat anything, he just wasn't in the mood to bother with it. "I'd better get of here for the day....", he said as he headed out and walked through the park on his way the town where he saw Silver and walked over with a sigh."Hey, Silver.. I'm.. Sorry for how I treated you yesterday.. I was just really agitated and I've got a lot on my plate, plus a whole mess of other stuff to worry about, but I shouldn't have taken it out on you... I'm sorry", he said with a flash of sharpened teeth that resembled how Sombra's teeth had looked, a small indication of the Shadow's effects on him.

Silver heard Rampart behind her, and turned around, then sighed with relief when he apologized.

 

"I-I forgive you, but, I probably shouldn't have said... uh... whatever I said."

 

She tried to apologize as well. She new she was partly at fault, she just didn't know how she could have made it different.

He exhaled deeply through his nose before deciding telling her that he snapped when she mentioned parents really couldn't make things any worse. "Look, I'm just gonna level with you. You didn't do or say anything wrong, I promise... It was all me. I sort of lost my composure when you brought up your parents bring worried about you... It was stupid of me''.

"Well, It's okay. I suppose I could understand if I didn't have parents... I don't know what I'd do. I don't really want to think about that."

 

She said, trying to sympathize as best as she could, although she wasn't really sure if that was really helping all that much.

He shook his head a little when she tried to make him feel better. '' It's fine really. I'm over it, but I'd rather not be late to school, even though I probably know more than the teachers, considering I had centuries of reading and studying while Sombra ruled the Empire ".

"Wait, you're going to school? And... you're c-centuries old?!? But... You're so... young!... So to speak... How can you be centuries old?"

 

Silver was very much confused right now. She only knew of three ponies who were more than a hundred years old. She waited in earnest for Rampart to explain himself.

"It's like I told you. Sombra took over the Crystal a couple hundred years ago... Hence the reason it just recently returned, kinda surprised there's even anything about in your school books. But nopony aged while he held the Empire thrall.... So, I have been eight years old fir a couple years hundred years. I've been eight so long, I don't even remember my own birthday anymore. And of course Um going to school, I have to by law. All minors must attend school. I'm eight years old which makes me a minor ", he explained solemnly." Technically I'm a couple hundred years old but then again, I'm technically eight''.

 

(My what I say in the show, they never aged while Sombra ruled. Correct me if I'm wromg)

(Well when one of them was told how long it'd been, she replied "has it really been that long", which could imply that they were in stasis the entire time. Also I don't know much about Equestrian law, but I'm guessing they don't officially classify "minors" like we do)

 

"I guess that makes sense. That's too bad that you don't remember your birthday though. Do you not have any idea at all?"

 

She asked.

(Well... Um... Until I do a bit more research, I'm just gonna go with what I wrote. And as for minors, I'm going with age scale of a human for the sake of the roleplay)

 

He just shrugged at her pondering his possible ideas. "Nah, and after a while I just stopped caring. I mean, I have it somewhere, but I really don't care about it at this point. I have no family to care about it and friends, yeah right. No offence, I kinda forgot that we were sort of friends".

"Um... none taken?"

 

She wasn't exactly sure how she felt about that.

 

"Maybe you have a point. Even if we knew your birthday, I'm not sure what I can do for you, but don't you need to at least keep track of how old you are? That would be bad if you couldn't remember after a few years."

He gave a small chuckle. "In order to keep track of how many years I've lived, I would need to remember my birthday.... So not a clir'', he said with a shrug." Oh well, I guess I'll just have to figure it out at some point in order to know when I finally age a year", he said simply.
