Shadowhide glanced back to the door. Indeed, it led to the mare's room. It was a bit of a relief; she immediately assumed the scream was for something more serious like an attack. But at the same time, it made her really worried about just how appropriate it is for someone like Sunshine to be a judge. She absolutely won't stand for him doing something stupid to prevent some important information being revealed, or even worse, handing down a bad verdict. Well, the mare she spoke to has already walked away, so Shadowhide went back to the lobby.

When Moonlit asked her what happened, she replied 'The judge for our case walked into the mare's room. Apparently it's a common occurrence. Are you sure he's qualified to be a judge?'

 

(OOC: Let's wait until the defense attorneys speak with Storm, then I'll make the bailiffs announce the start of the trial so everypony goes to the courtroom and the fun begins!)

Gale trotted into the courthouse after having a well-rested sleep. This was going to the pinnacle of the case. This was where all the info would come out and she would be there getting the first scoop. She could already see bits in her future, her boos would have to give her a raise now. He just had to.

Jolt was thinking about the investigation "Well. I got the Autopsy report and it shows that the victim was electrocuted." he said and as look through the in his inventory. "I don't exactly have much info. But my partner may have some." he said

Unfortunately, before Storm and his attorneys got a good chance to speak with each other, a pair of bailiffs entered the lobby. In a loud, commanding voice, they said, 'The trial will begin shortly. Please head to the courtroom at once.' Shadowhide simply nodded, then made her way to the courtroom.

 

(It begins! I'm mentioning everyone since this RP has been dead for a little while, so no-one misses this)

"Alright" Moonlit said. "Lets get this show on the road." He walks towards the doors, and turns back around towards the rest of the ponies. "Well, what are you waiting for?" He asks. 

He walks into the courtroom with everypony else. but he wasn't sure exactly how this case would turn out. considering how little he knew.

Gale got up from where she sat and walked into the courtroom to take her seat and wait for when she would be called up as a witness. To say she was nervous would be an understatement. She had covered many stories about criminals in trials, but actually being in one even as a witness was a bit jarring. As Gale looked around the courtroom from her seat she saw many townsponies on the jury and even the detective that had ignored her when they were questioning the defendant. She scowled at him and looked back at the judge waiting for the trial to begin. 

 

As soon as I get out of here I'm going to make sure all of Equestria knows of his rudeness Gale thought as she imagined him losing his badge because of said article. It was a bit of a stretch, but she could dream couldn't she?

Sunshine looked around at the ponies infront of him. He was sure that he had never seen this many ponies in court before. It didnt really surprise him though, since this might be the first murder in a long time. He noticed the detective he talked with earlier somewhere, but lost sight of her. 

 

he had wanted to begin court, but he wasnt really sure if everyone was here, so he waited for some sort of signal, like usual. He didnt want to repeat that time where he had announced that court had begun before both the prosecutors and attorneys had entered.

"It begins then. Well, best of luck to all of you. Guess I have to prepare my evidence. I wonder who the first witness is?" Archean then saw a mare scowl at his direction, but he had no time for that now. He had to do good in order to prove to everypony that he's no run off the mill detective! 

 

(( OOC: I don't remember what happened with Gale News and Archean, so sorry if I shrug it off /Le shrug))

Jolt began to head in the trial and was seated next to the defense. He was nervous a little. But he is gonna do his best to help Ace. "(*sigh* I think I maybe a little nervous. It is my first time in court.) he thought as he looked around the court room and seen some pony's walking in.

'The trial will begin shortly. Please head to the courtroom at once.'

Wh-What?! Already?! Storm was caught off guard and sighed. "I hope this will go well..." He was taken into the courtroom and to his seat by two bailiffs, them watching his every movements.

Moonlit took his spot at the defense desk but surprisingly there were other attorneys next to him.

"Uhhhhh...." He pondered. "wait, no, I don't have time to worry about that right now, I need to focus on the case at hand, and if they are gonna help me, fine." He thought to himself.

Sunshine was impatiently(And silently) tapping a hoof on the ground repeatedly, awkwardly waiting for someopony to give him the signal. Almost Everypony in the courtroom were chatting away, waiting for it all to begin. 

 

Just as Sunshine thought he would have to start without the signal, he noticed a mare in the back of the crowd holding up a small paper with one of those judge hammers on it. "Thats it!" He thought to himself as he got prepared, took up his hammer, and smacked his desk with it. "SILENCE!" He yelled with a surprising amount of force and got he attention of everypony in the courtroom. He cleaed his throat and muttered a "Thank you" To the crowd before he started speaking. "Court has begun." He turned his head to the prosecutors. "Give us the details". Sunshine was nervous as all tartarus at this point. He hadnt read anything about the case and wasnt too ready. all he knew was that this was a murder case. He didnt even know the victim! RIght now, he just hoped that what he had said was enough.

 

 

Somewhere in the crowd, a certain assistant facehooved. "We had gone through this so many times...".

"I'm ready as I'll ever be." Moonlit thought to himself as he heard the judge announce the start of the trial in his booming voice. He heard the judge request an overview of the incident from the Prosecution so he looked over towards there because he would have to listen carefully to that summary.
