How would ancient unicorns look in MLP?

I read in Wikipedia that unicorns in the ancient times were potrayed more like some kind of horse mixed with goats, like this:

 

 

And the one-horned horse version is more modern, so how do you think unicorns in MLP would look if they were potrayed like that?

I want to think that Ancient unicorns looked like Marigold Heavenly Nostrils. Regular unicorn. Maybe a slightly longer snout, like Celestia and Luna and Cadance have, and a longer tail (like Mew's tail), but with a tuft of hair at the end

This version of unicorns would be an interesting race in MLP, like this is what ponies originally looked like or something, or maybe they are still around but secretive and mysterious.
