The Dazzlings vs Discord

Discord drops the moon or sun on them, or teleports them underground, or mind rapes, or removes their arms and legs, or traps them in a reality bubble, where he busies himself imagining more and more creative ways to kill them.

This is the same guy who's so stupid, he doesn't do the same thing to the Elements, right? This is the same guy who went down to the Elements in about ten seconds, the same Elements that were fended off by the Dazzlings, right?

Um... They weren't up against the elements of harmony. Those are still in Equestria, with the tree of harmony. They were up against leftover magic from the elements of harmony, which wasn't even being properly harnessed. That's about a fraction of a fraction of the elements' power.

the power was inside them all along which is why they dont need them anymore. so yeah, actually they were facing the elements of harmony. 

 

though to answer the question i think discord might beat the dazzlings, he didnt actually see the mane 6 as a threat so they caught him off guard and thats why he wasnt able to do anything against them and lost so easily.

If he didn't see them as a threat, then Discord's IQ must be positively puny. He was beaten by the Elements once, he knows how dangerous they are. Imagine if Superman was encountering Kryptonite for the second time and just goes "It'll be fine"

right i guess so. its been 2 years since ive seen the episode so my memory on it is foggy. but this is about discord vs. the dazzlings, and i think discord has much more power overall than the dazzlings. BUT-is he immune to their songs? That's the big deciding factor, because if he isn't then I think they win hands down, but if not they're powerless considering that's their only strength. it was said at the end of the movie "now they're just harmless teenage girls"

By all rights, Pinkie should have died from that, being unable to breathe.

One of them already rivals him in power at least(Adagio could hold off the Elements for a second, though she is indeed the most powerful of the three) and hax magic doesn't work on rivals in power

They weren't attached to anyone there. It's kind of like how the Alicorn Amulet can easily be taken when it's not on the user, whilst being impossible to take off while on someone. Now, whether or not the gems work the same way doesn't matter, the point is, removing something that is being worn is different from taking something not being worn

Depends on the mechanics of the Amulet. 

 

If all it does is release hidden potential, it does nothing for Twilight. If it adds power, it won't be too big(think adding 1 to 100 as compared to adding 1 to 5). If it's a multiplier, say your prayers

I think it's nature was to multiply the users abilities. Say it made Trixie twice as powerful. It would then make Twilight twice as powerful as FOUR full Alicorns working in unison. What if it made Trixie ten times as powerful? We all know Twilight has the potential for a little madness. With the amulet amplifying Twilight, Equestria may very well crumble beneath her hooves!

I'd say Discord would win.

 

The Dazzlings, fully powered up, scream at Discord. Since he knows their powers, he knows it's an attack that is predicated on sound, which requires air to travel. With one click of his fingers, he creates a pocket of vaccuum between him and the incoming attack. Lacking air to travel further, the attack simply never reaches Discord. Discord can keep this up all day, and thus he has plenty of time to come up with a plan to defeat them. Or just wait until they're out of power. 

 

If he didn't know their powers, maybe they could beat him. If he's forewarned, they have no chance.

 

Besides, the Elements have the effect of turning Discord to stone. They don't "damage" him in any way. I don't see how a pure sonic attack is supposed to be able to turn him into stone, which is pretty much the only way to temporarily stop him. So saying the sonic attack of the Dazzlings is more powerful than the Elements doesn't really mean much.

 

And the Dazzlings power hasn't been matched up against the Equestrian Elements anyway. Maybe the Humane Six are literally wielding a power as strong as the Equestrian Elements, maybe they're not. I don't think it's been spelled out exactly how the Humane Six are related to the original Elements, so that's ultimately conjecture. Useless conjecture, I would say, given what I stated earlier.

No, they were not. You're both making huge assumptions that the magic in the elements and the magic between its wielders is somehow exactly the same, when there as absolutely no evidence to support this claim.

Just re-watching Rainbow Rocks over, and Twilight tells her friends that it's the stray magic that her element left behind after defeating Sunset Shimmer. It's not the same as the Elements of Harmony.

There's no way they'd win against Discord. He'd know more about them to begin with and given his abilities, he would shut them down pretty quick. Discord is far older and he knows a lot of sh^t, lol.

I'd go with Discord. He could mess up their singing, or charm people into not arguing which is pretty much their source of power so...yeah. I think Discord can cause more damage if he that is what he choses even though he just likes causing chaos of every magnitude.

Headcanons aren't acceptable, if they were, I can say that Discord has a phobia of sirens and thus can't fight them effectively
