Tempest smirked as he charged at Indictus. He planned to hold back and see what defense his teacher could muster. The teen then tried to slash at Indictus, preparing for a counter if needed.

Gale watched her friend and his teacher fight and laid on the ground. She had started to feel better after a few days and knew that she would be able to fly soon.

I side stepped the charge, managing to position myself to his sword arm's side before feigned a swipe to his leg by projecting my false swipe and estimating when I had to switch the motion to hit Tempest's side chest or arm. Tempest had a slight issue with projecting his swings making them that much easier to avoid, I planned to tell him this after the fact.

Tempest noticed the attack and stepped back a bit, before slashing at Indictus. As he fought, s plan for what he would do over the next few days began to form in his head and a smirk danced upon his lips.

Astrid shrugged as she and the others thought of what to do. "Just in case Tempest is there, we should go in at dusk and in groups of three." She said.

I dodged the slash and stayed back this time waiting for another strike from Tempest my stick still ready to do anything I wanted it to do at a moments notice. I knew I could end it here or at anytime but I rather let him have time to learn a little before going into much more serious training it was only his second day and I had no real time constraint to teach him in so I kept with a slower pace until I was confident he could face his peers with some proficiency then I would get increasingly harder on him.

Tempest smirked and went for a second charge. Instead of going for a head on approach, the teen ducked and attempted to attack from below. He didn't know if Indictus would be expecting such a tactic, but it was good to experiment during the first few days of his coming training. Tempest knew that he needed to be more reserved and would try to work on that in the future.

I smirked as he tried to attack my legs, I just jumped back a bit and brought the sword down onto Tempest's back before he could get up. "Good try but you told me what you were going to do before you struck, unless you were planning to bow before me of course." I said with a small chuckle.

Clayton smirked slightly and nodded. "I agree. It would increase our chances of finding out what exactly is going on with that boy and I wouldn't exactly want to be on the receiving end of Tempest's anger." He thought to himself. The teen didn't care who he was paired with, but he figured that it would be worth it.

"And I'm sure you would like that." He said, giving his own witty comeback. The teen then raised his sword and lunged at Indictus, planning on knocking the stick out of his teachers' hand. Of course, he would be able to easily parry any move due to his increased flexibility, but he noticed that his balance was a bit lacking.

I smiled and let the stick out of my hand, with him now in arms length thanks to the lunge I grabbed his wrist and forced him on the ground with his own momentum. "Lunging gets very few people anywhere but the grave Tempest you could get away with it on a green enemy but most will just use your own momentum to kill you after stepping away from the strike."

Tempest nodded slightly and smirked. "Now you tell me." He muttered. The teen then sweeped Indictus's legs out from under him and quickly stood up. He then waited for his teacher to recover before he continued. "I still have a few tricks up my sleeve, though."

  • 2 weeks later...

Well save them for later. I believe we have done a lot today, tomorrow we hunt. For today I will find us some rabbits to make a meal out of. You are starting to get better and eventually we will duel with swords, until then we will continue practicing with sticks. Shout if you need me." I said before grabbing my bow off my back and walking into the forest.

Clayton sighed as he stood and headed to the forest. He needed to find answers to all of this and he was at the very least determined. He knew the others would follow him and they had already discussed the plan for when they entered the forest. "I just hope everything works out." He thought to himself.

Orion smiled as he landed in the clearing and saw Tempest and Gale. "Well, it's good to see that you two are in good health." He said.

Astrid and the others had entered the forest through a different entrance than the one Clayton had used and figured that it would increase the chances that they wouldn't get caught.

Tempest smirked and nodded slightly, before sitting next to Gale and scratching her behind one of her ear plates. "So, what do you want to do girl?" He asked, looking over her wings. They still looked pretty damaged, but they were getting better. The teen then glanced at Orion. "Well, it's good to see you to."

Gale purred gently and glanced at Orion. "Yeah. My wings are healing, so I should be able to fly soon." The dragoness then thought about everything that had happened, and was genuinely happy. Her life in the nest hadn't been glamorous and now that she found a place where she belonged, she wouldn't leave unless Tempest wanted to.
