TheAnimationFanatic 3,606 November 15, 2014 Share November 15, 2014 Two of the most anticipated movies of 2015, and most likely to be the most successful, which do you think will make more money at the box office? DashieDoo 54 November 15, 2014 Share November 15, 2014 (edited) I think star wars is a lot more anticipated than avengers, so that would be my bet, but who knows? Edited November 15, 2014 by DashieDoo
TheAnimationFanatic 3,606 November 15, 2014 Author Share November 15, 2014 It'll be a close race, but I think Star Wars might make more. 1 "Work Hard! In the end, passion and hard work beats out natural talent." - Pete Docter
Megas 28,488 November 15, 2014 Share November 15, 2014 Avengers for sure. Honestly I haven't been digging a lot of what I've heard about Starwars so far
Coco before Pommel 679 November 15, 2014 Share November 15, 2014 Team Avengers ftw~ I'm totally biased since not into Star Wars, and the first Avengers movie was what got me into Marvel. Star Wars might do better because there hasn't been a SW movie for a long time so there's a lot of anticipation, but there is for Age of Ultron too, so...idk, I don't really care because I'm sure they'll both make a ton of money, but I'm super excited for Avengers ^___^ wonderful signature by Blue Moon & Wheatley! | cosplay | deviantart | fimfiction | johari window | pm me for 3DS friend code, or just to talk/make friends/whatever! <
ShadowPirateX 600 November 15, 2014 Share November 15, 2014 Considering the villains of both movies, I think I'll go with Age of Ultron. "Freedom is the right of all sentient beings" ~ Optimus Prime
FlutterAether 421 November 15, 2014 Share November 15, 2014 Avengers 100% it's appealing to everyone and anyone, you don't have to be a Marvel fan to understand what's happening though it's recommended you are so you can connect the universes. Having watched the first trilogy of Star Wars with Anakin and have yet to watch the ones with Luke it's safe to say Episode 7 will probably intertwine with all the previous movies, therefore the audience would have to watch the first 6 episodes to understand it. But I could be wrong about that the fandom for Star Wars is huge although I don't believe it's huge like Marvel? Either way I'll be watching both
Ianpiersonjdavis 514 November 15, 2014 Share November 15, 2014 (edited) It's hard to say, both Marvel and Star Wars have had highly anticipated films in the past that turned out to be disappointing for many and that does contribute to one's desire to see a sequel. Especially, taking into account how excited everyone was when The Phantom Menace was first announced after a few decades and the disappointment and huge backlash that followed upon viewing the finished product, then again George Lucas has been replaced by J.J. Abrams which people seem excited for. But then, there's a few people who see the original trilogy as the definitive Star Wars and a few others who feel like the original and the prequel films are where the films should have ended and probably won't be interested in seeing it. Iron Man 3 seemed to shake the faith of some fans a bit when it comes to Avengers related films, but all of the films pertaining to that universe since then seem to be helping alleviate those doubts, especially with the financial success and critical reception of Guardians of the Galaxy. Of course, there are a few who seem to be a little burnt out on superhero films in general-so that could be a detriment in potential viewership. Hopefully they'll both be awesome and regardless of critical reception, given the hype it's fair to say that they will both make respectable amounts-as to which will make more it seems a little too early to tell. Radiance64 7,059 November 15, 2014 Share November 15, 2014 Avengers 2 is for sure going to be the better movie. It's Marvel, they are on a roll and although there have been some mild stinkers(Iron Man 3, Thor 2), no way they'll let this one slip in quality. No idea what to expect from Star Wars yet, but after seeing the Star Trek movies from the same director I don't expect a whole lot.
