"Hey Rising!" Storm greeted happily, bounding over to the aforementioned stallion. "How's it going? Are you having a good day?" He asked, taking a seat beside Rising and turning to watch Pinkie and Rainbow as they chatted over by the counter of Sugarcube Corner.

"Sure. Like everyday. Writing new stories or think about about new stories and hang out with Dashie."

 

He smiles directly, when he said her name ... he can still not believe, that from all good looking and strong stallions, she chosed the author.

 

"And you, Storm?"

Storm smiled happily, "Oh I'm doing great!" He exclaimed, throwing both hoofs up to show just how great he was doing. "Even better since Pinkie and I got together!" Storm continued happily, losing focus on the world around him as he thought about that one fact. He gave a happy sigh, "I still can't believe how lucky I am..."

"Yeah, we two stallions are probably the happiest stallions in all of Equestria. Because we both have our favourite mares with us. He, just think about, I would be with Pinkie and you with Rainbow Dash."

 

Rising laughs by this tought, thinking, he would be with Pinkie.

Storm chuckled, "That would be interesting..." He said with a smile, the world coming back into focus. "I mean... I like Dashie, but I never even really thought about her in a relationship kinda way... I've always been pretty~ focused on Pinkie." Storm continued, giving another chuckle. "I've got to say that if there's one thing that's unfair about our relationship though... Is that Pinkie can make me blush obviously, but I can never tell if she's blushing because of her beautiful coat's coloring..." He explained with a small pout.

"Yeah, it's definitly hard to see, if she is blushing or not. Dashie don't blush often, except when we two are alone, then she nearly blushing all the time. She need to look awesome afterall for everypony else, blushing makes her image weak."

Storm shrugged, "I'm not sure what that's all about..." He replied, "Uh.. The image thing, I mean." Storm clarified. "I don't see blushing as a reputation-ruining action.." He said, explaining his reasoning as he thought about it. "Then again, she does want to be famous and a Wonderbolt and what-not.... I've never been one to aim for, or even really like the idea of becoming famous... Which is probably the main reason I turned Spitfire's offer down before I left Canterlot." Storm finished thoughtfully, looking up at the ceiling.

Rising repeats Storm's last words again in his mind.

 

"... you really had the chance to join them but you denied it? If you are that good ... why? I'm not good, but if I would be that good I would sure join, I think. Rainbow would definitly, mayby you could train with her?"

Storm shrugged, "Well, I was offered a position while I was still traveling Equestria, looking for my Cutie Mark." He began, "I was in Canterlot for a week or so, and doing odd jobs. At some point I got a job managing a few parties for the Wonderbolts, and I guess they liked what I did enough to thank me personally..." Storm continued, giving the story of why he'd been offered the poistion, and consequently turned it down. "I'd honestly never wanted to be famous, I'd never even thought about it, and still really don't want to be. I know that if I'd joined the Wonderbolts, I probably would've become famous." He told his friend with a small smile. 

"I'm well aware of the pros and the cons of being famous, and I prefer it as I am. Anyways.. At some point while I was chatting with them, one of the team offered a friendly race after learning that I liked to fly fast.... Long story short, we raced and I ended up winning him after I broke the sound barrier..." Storm chuckled, "The look on their faces made me wish I had a camera, It's not often that you see the entirety of the Wonderbolts go slack jawed after all..." He shook his head.

"After that, Spitfire offered me a position and I turned it down, giving her my reasons. She understood completely, and I left Canterlot a couple days later.... Though I do still manage a few parties for them every now and then." Storm said, finally finishing his tale.

 

Taking a sip of water, Storm smiled again. "And if Rainbow wants me to, I'd be happy train with a friend..." He informed Rising

Rising just looks to her, speechless. It takes a few minutes, before he finally was able to speak again.

 

"WOW! You breaked the Sound barrier?! I tought, only Rainbocan do that! Wow, this ... this is just ... wow!"

 

Rising calming down slowly.

 

"I'm famous too, my books are well known. Tought I never have those big troubles with fans, here and then a knock on the door for a autograph, but that's all."

Storm laughed, not a chuckle but a full on laugh. "Heh... Oh~.." He attempted to speak, his laughter dying down to giggles. "Rainbow didn't just break the sound barrier, no..." Storm said, attempting to explain his sudden amusement. "I break the sound barrier easily enough, and it makes a sonic boom and maybe some air distortion, but that's it... Rainbow... Somehow, she manages to break the barriers of the visible light spectrum. Or at least that's my best guess behind the Sonic Rainboom..." He told his friend, still chuckling at the comparison. "That kind of speed is way beyond me." Storm informed the other pegasus.

"It's also likely the reason why the rebound caused by a failure is so large for her. The failure of a sonic boom has never caused me to physically be launched in the other direction.. But she breaks straight through both, and it's definitely a noteworthy action." He explained, switching back out of science-pony mode now that he'd explained his theory. Storm took a bite of the muffin in his hoof, "Omn."

"Your as random as Pinkie Pie, Storm. No wonder, you two found together, hehe."

 

Rising laughs.

 

"But, haha, anyway, what are you going to do today, with or without Pinkie Pie? Making parties, making sweets or what exactly?"

Storm looked to the ceiling and put a hoof to his chin in thought, "I have no clue!" He replied cheerfully, looking back at Rising. "I'm off of work for now, and I have no real plans...." Storm continued thoughtfully. "Do you have any plans for the day?" He asked his friend with a happy smile, taking another bite of muffin. "Omn."

"Uhhhhhhhhhhhhhh, if you count sitting around, relaxing and hang out with Dashie as planned, then that. Otherwise, absolutely no. I have nothing really planned for the day today."

 

Rising thinks for a while, if he know something, what they could do, but shakes his head.

 

"I have nothing to do really planned."

Storm tapped a hoof against his chin thoughtfully, looking at the ceiling, "Hmmm.... I wonder if Dash or Pinkie have any ideas?" He wondered, looking over at the chatting mares. "Maybe we have ideas and we just don't know it?" Storm continued before gasping, "Maybe we lost our ideas! Oh no! Ideas? Ideas, where are you?" Storm said frantically, picking up the table, the chairs, and even Rising, while looking for the non-existent missing ideas.

Rising feels a bit uncomfortable, when he suddenly got picked up from him.

 

"I don't think we can lose ideas, that we never had. But yeah, it could be a good idea, to ask them, if they have any ideas what too do now."

 

He stands up and start walking to the two mares.

Rainbow looks up from the conversation she had been having with Pinkie Pie. "Hey guys! I was just telling Pinkie about this cool new flight competition I want to enter. It's not for a few months though. Anyways, what are you guys up too?" She asked as she sat next to Riseing.

Storm tapped a hoof to his chin thoughtfully while looking at the ceiling before turning to Rainbow, "Nothing really, my day's free and potentially boring.." He chirped with a smile. "So a flight competition, huh? What kind of flight Dash? A race, A flight trick contest, an obstacle course maybe?" Storm asked with interest shining through his eyes.

Pinkie shouted.

 

"Rainbow Dash is the fastest pegasus in Equestria!"   "She could beat the Wonderbolts in ten seconds flat." "She will totally win that race" Pinkie finally come down  "Right ponys?"

 

Pinkie took a bite of her cupcake "Yum!" "I make the best cupcakes."

Storm chuckled, "You're right Pinkie..." He replied with a smile, "You really do make the best cupcakes.." Storm turned to Rainbow, "And Pinkie's mostly right about the other part too, I'm sure you'll do great no matter the competition Dash." He continued, holding out a hoof to give a hoofbump.

Rainbow hoofbumped Storm Shine. "Thanks guys! And yeah, it's a race. It's in two weeks, at Manehattan. I might just visit the city after the race. I might go practice for the race later if nopony is doing anything. Are we doing anything today?" She asked, looking around at the group.

"We all have no idea, Rainbow. Looks like, we just enjoying this day today and I watch you training then, Dashie. You look just so awesome when training, I can really see the fun you have, when training."

 

Rising smiles, kissing her cheek.

 

"But your Sonic Rainboom is still the best."

"Yeah!" Storm agreed with a smile, "It's way better than any regular old sonic boom like I do! After all, yours comes with a cool explosion of color and a rainbow too!" He exclaimed, standing on two hooves and throwing his other two out to show the explosion and ended up falling onto his back. Storm was quickly smiling and back on all four hooves with a quick cry of, "I'm okay!"

Rainbow laughed. "Thanks! It's pretty awesome, expect Twilight keeps trying to get me to learn the science of it. She has like, twenty books on just the sonic rainboom! Who even needs that many books on anything? Anyways, I'm probably gonna go practice now. You guys comeing?" She asked, as she trotted to the door.

Rising laughs, stretching out his tongue to her, walking to her.

 

"Pinkie? Storm? You want to come with us, watching her training? You not regreting it seeing the best mare in action and live, haha."
