SkyBound's Sketches

Graffiti ponies would be awesome in my opinion! I do not believe II have seen them drawn in that type of style. And if your family does happen to find out, you can always say you are doing a request for a friend. Although you should not be afraid to express anything about yourself, but I can understand your reasoning.

First, thank you very much for the compliment, though I doubt I deserve as much. I do appreciate it all the same though!

Second, I want to thank you for the criticism as well. I can see what you mean by the ears and the tails, and I will certainly have to keep that in mind whenever I draw next. My mentality on the ears was to make them smaller in the adults, while slightly larger in the youths to give that little bit of distinction. Though, I believe I did not accomplish this on the latter portion. On the tail...I have no explanation. Drawing hair is still an enigma to me, so more practice it is! Thank you so much again for your input. I really means a lot to me.

Oh, hair is very easy. Just draw it all in one lump mass, literally like on object; don't try to make every individual strand as it looks bad when you do that and only painters could accomplish something like that with little trouble. After it's drawn up, add in different color tones and textures. It looks very good in the end, trust me.

Practice makes perfect; but if nobody's perfect, why practice?

Since I have been engaging in EQD's Artist Training Ground days (because I will be quite honest that I need the practice), I thought I might share what I draw for the daily themes They're not much to look at, I know, but drawings all the same. As always, critique and constructive criticism is welcome and appreciated.

I also feel a bit like a jerk whenever I post here anymore. It seems that I only post on this thread for my drawings along with a couple others, as I am only here for myself. If someone has already represented my opinion on a matter in another thread, I feel no need to post anything unless I have new information to present. Ah, but it is late and I am rambling off tangent. Sorry about that. Back to school work for me...

Ahh yes. My hooves just about fell off. Fantastic art! The style is unoriginial! Makes your art that much more unique. WELL DONE! Well done!

I like your style. It seems to me at least that it's a mix of the highly stylized ponies from the show and real world horses. Am I wrong in this?

No, you are quite accurate. At least, that is what I was striving for was a nice middle ground. Either way, I am glad that you like it. Means I am doing something right, right?

Day three of the training grounds, and this is what I came up with...bleh.

Honestly, I am not at all pleased on the results of this one. While trying a different angle, which was a bit of a pain to keep the perspective straight, it just did not come together as I had imagined. Plus, it would have been nice to have the time to render it a little. Oh well, you win some, you lose some

Anyway, here is Octavia, rocking to the classics with her electric cello, with Vinyl's shades as well. Feel free to point out the glaring flaws and lack of detail, but I can take this one as a learning experience.

Since I am posting these training day attempts, perhaps I should groups the drawings together rather than individually, maybe weekly. That would certainly make things easier and keep this thread from expanding unnecessarily.
