Buzz 1,769 August 2, 2016 Share August 2, 2016 I can't remember where, but a video once told me that they were deemed princess' by Hasbro as Disney had created a negative vibe around the word queen and made it seem to mean evil (that's why crysalis is a queen, not princess) and that this would affect toy sales. So, to overcome this, they did like Disney and made their good characters princesses to make them seem more appealing on the shelve.
