ranul 132 December 26, 2014 Share December 26, 2014 some time in the future your child or a grand child comes across a picture of you dressed as a pony or items from your collection would tell her. I am assuming the show has long since ended .
Jeric 46,880 December 26, 2014 Share December 26, 2014 The question amuses me because I am an outlier. My teen daughters helped to convert me. They will be with me at BABSCon whist I am cosplaying as Rarity during our panel. My kids will say nothing to debase me in a negative way. They in fact were in the room as I recorded Art of the Dress. This I know for a fact and do not need to speculate on. Considering the influence my wife and I have had on their general world view, I would suspect that my grandchildren would not bat an eye. You see, this is likely not a very temporary thing for me. As long as there are sites, cons, and a fandom, I will be part of it. Speaking of grandkids ... they should not even be in the picture until both my daughters are finished college and have doctorates ( said because I know one of them will see this ).
FirstPonySpectre 176 December 26, 2014 Share December 26, 2014 Well, I don't actually own any pony merchandise. The closest thing I have to pony things is just wallpapers for my iPhone, haha. I mean, don't get me wrong, I love the show, but when it comes down to it my heart will always go out to The Walking Dead. Which is the franchise I spend most of my extra money on. If I did ever wear a pony outfit and my kid or grandkid saw I'd probably just bluntly say "I watched My Little Pony." Before staring them dead in the eyes and waiting for a response. "We are legion. For we are many." Legion, Mass Effect 2 (Image not mine, btw. I plan to make my own soonish when I get the time) Credit to WheatleyCore for my avatar OCs: Bittersweet, Masquerade / Silver Tongue (Workin' on this one still)
Silver Letter 1,832 December 26, 2014 Share December 26, 2014 I won't have children but if a child like my nephew did see my MLP collection or a picture of myself in costume, I would be glad to talk about it. I hope MLP will still be around and they will be watching generation 7 or something by then anyway. Silver Letter!!! silvadel 1,393 January 11, 2015 Share January 11, 2015 (edited) I finally get married? And have kids?? Being about to turn 46, I figured that was very unlikely to happen. At any rate, we would enjoy another episode together because she would already have been exposed to pony. Edited January 11, 2015 by silvadel Silvadel, the Pegasus of Insight. [NULL] 907 January 11, 2015 Share January 11, 2015 I would've had to have bought MLP merchandise in the first place. That being said, I don't know whether or not the term "girly" would be relevant 20 years later.
