Impossible ending: Actual 4th wall break where the ponies learn they are actually in a show made by hasbro and that there are adult fans named bronies. That would never fly.

Psych!  Nightmare Moon was the good guy. (Or good mare, whatever.) Celestia is just manipulative and unstable and can't stand not being in control. Definitely won't happen.

 

The entire show was just a depressed young Pinkie Pie daydreaming on the rock farm. Man, that'd be tragic.

My alternate timeline

 

15 years after the main events of MLP, the mane 6 (and pretty much all of Equestria) are not in good shape. Twilight and Button Mash are working in government research labs, Pinkie is a drunkard, Fluttershy is a nurse in the army , Scootaloo is died after getting in the Air Force and Rainbow Dash is a depressive pilot, Rarity has gone out of Equestria, Applejack is dead, the CMC have long disbanded, and to top it all all of Equestria is at war, using machines after somehow magic became unusable.

 

Basically an alternate "WW2" equestria.

 

And did I mention Ponyville got burned down in a bomb raid?

We discover that Twilight's adventures were actually herself trying to cast a parallel universe spell, and the main objective was just to give a try, but she liked of living in that world. But she needed to get back to her home universe, once her adventure to human world in EG (ooh) disturbed the universe lines.

Ponyville never existed. Twi get sad of losing her friends, and an adventure begin to find them in the parallel universes once again.
