Rainbows song would be nice if a fan remixed it, but on its own it just is meh for me. Pony lyrics are always meh to me. Overall the story was meh, but I liked the tiny moments that didn't effect the story. Pinkie running through a cloud wall, rainbow crying and showing emotion, and the three pegasi were all funny. Pinkie is becoming my favorite this season for her witty one liners.

They almost went with my idea... one gets their cutie mark and they all have a falling out. Oh well, this one was pretty good too.

Twilight - Doesn't fully understand all the finer details of flirting and dating, and is super nervous, but would be always there for you, in thick and thin. Rarity - Total princess, always wanting to be waited on, but would make sure the favor is returned. Pinkie Pie - Total party animal and always wants to be doing something. Apple Jack - Simple girl who would want to do the whole ultimate partner thing. Hard work brings great reward. Fluttershy - Shy and would make you the leader, but would love you to a fault. Rainbow Dash - She would treat you more as a friend than a boyfriend, but she would love you, as long as you can keep up. You have to earn her love.

I didn't like how Rarity purposefully used spikes affections for her to her advantage. Its messed up man. The song was a bit meh in my opinion, but there were funny jokes throughout, so overall it was ok, but I really want sparity to end. Either make them a couple, which will never happen, or stop messing with Spikes emotions.

I see a lot of people saying "communism/nazi themed" but honestly, I saw more of a brony vs society thing myself. Also pinkies wall breaks are off the hook. "Is this an ending?" and a few others, one about a tree castle reminded me of people mocking hasbro for making everything about the toys.

SPOILERS! I am 11 mins and 30 secs into the season premier and I am probably looking into it too deeply, but I am seeing some parallels between bronies/society/the hub with the strange all same ponies.

I'm sure i've argued against the point I am about to make in the past, but regarding body sizes, everyone is different. I dated a girl in highschool who was a bean pole but was 15. I was 6'0 and so was she, and had long skinny arms and legs and little/no breasts. Her friend on the other hand was the same age and grade as her but had a shorter build and was more muscular/developed. They were the same age relatively. So fluttershy being tall like that is not necessarily an indicator of her being older. In my opinion (I refuse to use words like head canon, ship, etc), applejack and rarity are the oldest since they seem to fall into relationships with adult men and have jobs and take care of family. Fluttershy is the most independent of them all and takes care of hundreds of animals and is a year older than pinkie so she would be next. Rainbow dash, pinkie, and twilight all seem to be about the same age, with twilight being a little more mature than the other two. So if I had to put a list down, I would say it goes applejack/rarity>fluttershy>twilight>pinkie>rainbow dash.

Finally. I have been waiting for this episode for so long. I really do hope it happens

MLP has a lot of younger fans associated with it plus it is the internet. I have gotten nothing but praise for my pony stuff in the real world* yet mostly ridicule from the internet. Haters gonna hate. However I do have a bit of a distant relationship with the fan base. We can be a bit obnoxious and frankly... weird. However I am in the fandom for the ponies and myself... and the occasional song.

I just want to point out that some of the choices you have do actually have meanings behind them. Steed - A horse being ridden or ready to ride. Mustang - A feral horse, more specifically of the north american plains. Thoroughbred - A breed of racehorse but also used as a term for any breed of purebred horse. Bronco - An untrained horse that is prone to bucking. Personally I like earth pony. Simple and its what the show calls em.

Ok I have to know. Are the comics worth reading? It would be nice to get back into the groove of things before the new season starts.

Spike: Twilight Sparkle: Fluttershy: Rainbow Dash: Pinkie Pie: Rarity: Applejack: Caring. She is always looking out for the best for people, the group, and everyone in general. This is really hard for some reason. If I think of anything ill add on to this post.

I don't think "shipping" should become a thing in the show. I don't really understand peoples fascinations with making characters in their shows be in love with each other and make the beast with two backs all the time. People cringe at the name of flash sentry, imagine what would happen if they made everyone start having their own versions of flash. This is still a kids show aimed at girls 12 and younger.

To me it seems more often than not the cutie mark crusaders are in a "We want to do this. Something is in the way, we can fix it. Oh, we made it worse. We need help fixing it. We fixed it. We are sorry. We still didn't get our cutie marks, lets go do something else!" Honestly the only episodes I can think of that doesn't necessarily follow this formula are the two dream episodes. With that being said, I don't hate the cutie mark crusaders, but I always just chalk their story arcs as being filler episodes. I have said time and time again, but I want a serious story that actually has a story arc associated with it. Not just "Oopsie daisies we messed up. Oh well its over now, back to life." I want there to be a longer lasting effect type episode with them. Also I am glad their voice actors are going through puberty. Hearing the high pitched squeaky voices all the time was getting old.

Speaking of weather, we need more episodes that take place on a scheduled rain day. So far we have had 1 scheduled storm and one accidental storm caused by rarity.

Impossible ending: Actual 4th wall break where the ponies learn they are actually in a show made by hasbro and that there are adult fans named bronies. That would never fly.

I mean it is very much like a real life scenario. At some point in your life you will find that one thing you absolutely love to do and have a niche for and you know that this is what defines you. This is your thing. The only difference is that you don't get a magically appearing tattoo on your buttcheeks. To further expand on this about whether it is pre determined. In my opinion it is more likely that the magic of the pony universe has symbols that mean different things. When you know in your heart you found your special thing, the universe knows what symbol to give to you and bam, it just magically appears.

Princess Twilight Sparkle takes place on the same day as nightmare moons return which is the Summer Sun Celebration. Using cues from the dialogue, we can determine it has only been a year because Celestia says she no longer has to feel bad about banishing her sister to the moon, but that she can be happy that she has her sister back. So according to celestia it has been a year. The episodes might not add up canonically, but I think it is safe to say it has been a year.

Not at all! A lot of people dislike X because of Y reasons. Oh she is just so Z that I can't stand her. Not like A/B/C/D/E/F though, they are amazing. Why can't X be like that! It's just getting really old seeing these threads where instead of talking about a characters flaws, they open up with "Does anyone else dislike X?" You will never be and you never were the only person to like or dislike any character from any show. With that out of the way, I think season 4 Twilight was a bit of a let down. She was supposed to be making this transition from student twilight to princess twilight. In consequence, she became really boring and just... different. We got very little of crazy twilight and more of "I am an adult with a way to fix the problem but somehow I'll mess it up and then fix it." twilight. She was pretty boring in my opinion. However, there were a lot of out of character moments in season 4 all around. Cool headed Applejack turns full mother mode on Applebloom... while she is at home. Pinkie Pie is becoming just a tad bit extreme with her wackiness. Rarity... Overall I still like Twilight and the rest of the mane six because people do grow and change... just not usually so dramatically and for no real reason.
