Fanon to canon

Here is a question for you, my fellow Bronies.

 

If you could make any Fan fiction or even OC, Canon, which would you choose?

 

if you choose an OC specifically, Lilpip for example.

it would simply cause her to travel to the canon mlp universe.

 

if you chose her story it would simply cause the alternate future to become canon.

So which fic would you choose?

Personally, I might choose..... wow this is hard hard question, even for the one asking....

 

as for OC, I think I would make Jade canon.

 

as for fan fiction.....

I would make "the things we do for..." canon.

 

"My pretty person" almost has to be canon, I'm just saying.

I would make this canon:

 

 

Mainly because it already sits pretty snugly in the existing canon in terms of consistency with how the world works.

 

Apart from Fallout Equestria, this is the best fanfic I've read.

 

If only an individual OC, I guess Echo the Diamond Dog.

 

Even without his backstory of being from Earth, an intelligent, mute, friendly, Diamond Dog would be pretty interesting.

Fanfic, not sure; don't read them that often and the ones I did read, I can't remember well enough to say they'd qualify. Though I wrote a few fics that took place before, during or after certain episodes occurred that fit right into the canon already so, I'll say them. Explore my FIMFiction if you're piqued, reader.

 

For OC's, I'll choose my own simply because I don't pay attention nor give any cares about the OCs of people I'm not personally friends with, even the obscenely popular ones that go viral through the entire fandom. Charred Remnant, because Equestria needs a wandering bad-ass to act as a sort of mirror opposite to Cheese Sandwich. Yeah, let's go with that.

Ideally none since already there's too many fanon-to-canon which leads to entitlement but I'll put my soapbox aside.

 

It's less OCs and more types of ponies. There's so many unique mythological hoofy creatures that would be cool in MLP. Kirin/Qilin, Perytons, the classic heraldic unicorn, sleipnir, and eohippi because why not. I'd love to see more types of sentient hooved creatures aside from ponies and buffalo.

I would make the Fanfic that I am writing to be canon, even though it is not finish.

 

But it would completely re-create the MLP map and It would add nations and factions like Prance, Roam, Shetland, Egypt, Celestia's Templars, Turkey, Germane (or the not Holy, not roman, and not an empire: Holy Roman Empire), Reign, the Mane-gols, ect.

It would be nice if DHX at least acknowledged the background characters fanon names and personalities. Did they say Vinyl Scratch in RR? I can't remember.

 

As for something more drastic, I don't think the show NEEDS one and will run smoothly if it doesn't, and I personally think it's a bit late to add this into canon, but a Past Sin's movie would have been excellent if it had been made after season 2. When I was reading that fic, it constantly told me about how an MLP movie should be, and it would be incredibly fitting to see that in theaters. Such an epic tale, and it really stretches these characters to their absolute greatest.
