There is not enough Nurse Redheart out there it seems. If you're looking to improve, i know there are a few threads on this site on the matter, but it's been a while so they may be buried. I don't know if this guide is still going around, but it helped me improve drastically when I started.

As for drawing advice well Frith linked a good start. Theres also a huge tutorial section on equestria daily filled with all kinds of stuff that would be worth checking out.

Practicing on doing shading will give the drawings more life too. Weather its with normal pencil, marker, crayon and so on. 

 

Another thing to try is to keep drawing from references. Like for example, find a picture of pinkie pie and then look at it while you try to draw her on some paper paying attention to detail.

You could also try using multiple references. Like use a picture of one pony for a pose, then use another for the hair/eyes and so on.

Every bit you do will improve your drawing.
