Would she stop Chrysalis and a changeling take over? Sombra? Tirek? Or more importantly, would the Mane 5 be her friends? What would Twilight been reduced to? A book lackey? I haven't watched the Equestria Girl's movie, but I imagine Sunset Shimmer is much more ambitious than Twilight; or at least, more shameless about getting what she wants. It'd be very curious to see if she'd actually be able to master the magic of friendship at all. It might be more interesting, possibly, to see her try and humble herself and apologize every time she snapped at a friend, like Rarity or Pinkie Pie. I mean she wouldve at least helped in a lot of situations. Tho we have to aslk oursleves. Would she give in to friendship eventually? if yes... then im sure equestria wouldve been a lot safer. If not, we have to ask ourselves if here 'extra' magic knowladge would be enough to replace the EoH and their power... She came of as more proactive in the movie than Twilight was at the beginning of FiM. Arctofire 227 March 4, 2015 Share March 4, 2015 (edited) If I remember correctly from IDW (which all should have been in the show) Sunset Shimmer was Celestia's old student, who was bratty, cruel, selfish, and evil. She rejected friendship, and escaped into a mirror which she wanted to know more about. I don't think so, Sunset Shimmer was evil. She could have never have made friends like Twilight did, because Twilight wasn't cruel, just disinterested in friendship, so she at least ended up with friends. If Nightmare Moon successfully smashed the elements of harmony like she did with Twilight, then all of Equestria would have probably have been doomed. If she hadn't, then Sunset Shimmer may have defeated her, but then again the elements of harmony probably wouldn't have chosen an evil bearer, so I'm unsure.
