As Crackshot rejoined Chip helping him up onto his hooves the two walked inside Ricto's house. Ricto was on the floor bleeding from his snout, Chip had shot him right above his jaw.

Ricto coughed causing a small eruption of blood from his wound. As he looked up, he saw Chip with his magnum still in his magic. "Listen..." Ricto managed to get one word out before Chip put another bullet between his eyes.

As Ricto's body fell to the floor Chip holstered his gun and begun leaving the house. "thanks," he said without looking back.

What was once rage and anger is now a solemn look. Chip didn't know how to feel about what he just did.

He continued through ponyville still ignoring his team's situation and went to his shop. He went inside and unlocked his door to the upstairs.

With a sigh he grabbed a canister of gasoline and begun pouring the gas on the ground floor.

Crackshot watched, unflinching as Chip took the killing shot between Ricto's eyes.

Wasteland justice.

He turned and looked at Chip, who seemed to look much calmer than before. He muttered a "Thanks" before leaving the house.

After the suicide scare at the farm, he didn't want to take chances. He trotted after the younger unicorn, being led to his weapon shop, with its owner pouring gasoline around the ground floor.

"Are you sure you want to do this?" He asked, showing genuine concern for his ally, "It'll be a lot easier for you to work with him gone."

He glanced over to the house over his shoulder. He made a mental note to go loot it when they were done.

Chip continued pouring the gasoline around the shop. "Yes, I'm done with ponyville. Besides being the one who killed Ricto these raiders will probably burn my shop down anyways and try to kill me. So I rather do this myself and throw myself into the wastes then deal with this place.... if I'm lucky the fire will spread." He said still pouring gasoline."By the way if you or the rest of the group want any ammo or weapons feel free, most aren't all that great though."

Chip Finished dousing the floor with gasoline and was beginning to feel light headed from the combination of gas fumes and blood loss.

Chip stepped outside his shop for some fresh air and held his hoof to his shoulder applying pressure to slow the bleeding. "I'll be back, feel free to help yourself to what you find in there." He said as he walked off toward the medical clinic.

Crackshot remained silent and just watched as Chip doused his beloved store in gasoline. He really took pride in this place, and to see him about to set it on fire like this was a bit disheartening.

But, it was his shop, he could do what he liked with it. Hopefully, if the fire did spread, any friends he still had here would have the sense to haul ass while they could.

As Chip passed him to head to the medical clinic, Crackshot decided to exit himself, heading toward Ricto's house. Time to loot.

He noticed the former leader still had a magnum in his mouth. He decided to pocket it; maybe Chip could find some use for it.

A slave collar sat in the cupboard. He flared his nostrils at the sight of it and left it be.

Around the place he found some ammo, shotgun shells, a massive collection of caps, and most interestingly, a safe.

He doubted Persuasion could break the lock on this one. Perhaps another job for Virtue?

He trotted to the window and addressed the pegasus. "There's a safe in here, feel lucky?"

Xerath

"I could ask you the same question pegasus, and it looks like you're one short." He said in a low voice as Crackshot abruptly left leaving it two on one. He sighed deeply as yet another pony attempted to belittle him. "What a disappointment, I thought you would be different than my average opponent but it appears you too have failed to see that this is no ordinary sword." As he said that his sword coursed with electricity, the energy violently arcing from the blade. "Don't try to play smart ass with me, you don't know the first thing about cybernetic limbs, let alone those 'given' medically." He paused a moment and added, laughing lowly to himself "Perhaps if you prove yourself a worthy opponent I'll educate you on the simplest process there is in the Equestrian Wasteland! Witness Perfection!" Subtly he casts Sensory Foil On Dashia to ensure she could not hear the electricity from his sword and went invisible as he activated his Stealth Buck, he quickly and stealthily rushed at the Pegasus and slashed upwards in her direction. Ezekiel had been hanging in the back with his cloak on and hood up the whole time, so he didn't strike a threatening figure, that quickly changed though.

As soon as their opponent stepped up and displayed the magic in his own sword, the spark mirrored in the Zebra's eyes.

"At last . . . a proper duel!" He thought. The Shaman stepped forward and threw off his cloak, revealing the toned, dreadlocked, fighter beneath. With a scoop of his hoof, he drew Khalid from it's scabbard, gave it a flourish, and finished with the blade (or "earth edge") pointing up; held in the crook of his right foreleg.

"I know nothing of fusing metal with flesh and I seek no such, but if it's a proper opponent you wish to face I can promise that much. If a duel be your price for my companion, then allow me to act in her stead, as her champion!"

The blade of Khalid (a scimitar) lit slowly like a candle lightly set aglow, but the fire quickly spread until the blade was wreathed in a steady burn.

Chip finally limped over to the medical clinic and went inside where he found doctor verdant. He was near the only pony in ponyville that Chip didn't their company. "Hey doc, was wondering if you could remove a bullet for me and perhaps patch me up." Chip asked gesturing toward the wound behind his shoulder.

"Chip another deal gone bad? Most of your money does into me patching you up after getting shot." Verdant said as he grabbed some supplies from a drawer.

"This time it was Ricto, we finally came to blows." Chip said as he sat up in a chair.

"Well count yourself lucky, you're the first he's left alive." Verdant commented as he pulled the bullet from Chip's shoulder.

Chip winced at the pain of the bullet being remived. "Actually he's dead now, so that's good news for everypony." He said as verdant began cleaning his wound.

Realizing what she intended to do mid-slash he propelled himself and increased the power input on the sword, electricity arcing more violently and striking at her hoofs, he landed on his legs becoming visible now, his attention diverted to Zeke, he would have ignored any other Zebra but he possessed an assertiveness and passion that no other opponent he ever encountered had. "Normally I would not accept this substitution, but it appears that this as Pegasus will not offer me a proper duel, I hope you're ready Zebra!" His stance changed dramatically from before, this fight was going to hopefully be a challenge.

Ezekiel can see several of the sprites suddenly move to intercept the arcing lightning as Dashia pulls back.

What the others see is a known air grounding technique used by pegasi during thunderstorms. (20FP.)

Dashia bearly missed getting hit by the blade's lightning in her damaged hoof.

Ezekiel takes a few steps forward, raises his sword to the heavens, and bows his head. A gesture of respect to mark a duel between equals. He then slings the inner curve of his weapon, the dull side, across his withers, seemingly unbothered by the flaming blade.

Xerath

Xerath returned the respectful gesture by bowing his head back "You ready Zebra?" He spoke loud enough for him to hear, he didn't want to strike an unready opponent. He observed the Zebra for some time, he watched his every move, learning his opponent was the key to victory, this was something he took very seriously and to heart. The flaming blade did not intimidate him one but, but he dully noted that the fire did not harm him, at least it seemed that way, without any hesitation he dashed to the Zebra, his sword erupted with a charge of electricity and he slashed at the Zebra carefully and swiftly, he made sure to make his slash short as any mistake would surely mean his demise.

Ezekiel levered Khalid off his shoulder and parried the strike but did not riposte. Instead, Ezekiel cartwheeled and returned to his original stance with the blade pointed up.

It had been awhile since he had been in a friendly duel so he found himself grinning despite himself.

Dashia watched as the two went at it. She knew she had chosen right, when he parried the blade. She watched in contentment, letting herself rest on a cloud. The cloud seemed extra fluffy to her.

-Unseen by all the group but any who were spiritually awakened-

The wind sprites made themselves active by fluffing the cloud under her. They seemed to know how to relax her.

While he waited for Virtue's response, Crackshot looked up and saw the conflict with the cyberpony had intensified at least a bit. It looked like he and Ezekiel were going to go at it, after the zebra had stepped forward to fight on Dashia's behalf.

A good old fashioned swordfight. This should be fun.

He trotted over to the doorway of the house and had a seat on the porch, breaking out the whiskey he had purchased earlier.

He took a swig of the alcohol as he got ready to watch the action.

It seemed a couple of the local raiders had gathered around as well, curious to see this little showdown.

Xerath Smirked in Surprise as his opponent parried his attack, he readied himself to parry the counter-attack but to his surprise again the Zebra backed off, retreating back to his stance. He learned much about the Zebra's technique and speed, basic attacks such as the one he just did would not work on him, that wouldn't be an issue, he had more than enough combinations to break his guard. Rushing forward he slashed carefully at the Zebra, following up with a thrust and ending again with a slash, all in quick succession, the blade arcing much more violently than before increasing it's width and range with electricity drastically.

Virtue had gone to fetch some more medical supplies before they left for whatever place Dashia had in mind. As she was gathering everything, Chip came in with a shot wound. Verdant quickly took the bits that Virtue owed him and then tended to Chip’s wounds.

Hearing that he had taken care of Ricto, she gave him a slightly concerned look, but then smiled. "Well, I guess that problem is dealt with. I hope Verdant fixes you up properly because we're leaving soon." After giving a nod to the doctor, she left the medical centre.

Outside there was a strange disruption going on. Apparently there was a fight, because a few ponies had lined up to watch and enjoy. Only then she realised it was Ezekiel who was duelling, and she immediately decided to put a stop to it. After all they were somewhat outside the town already, so the small amount of raiders would probably leave when she broke up the fight.

"What in the blazes do you think you are doing?" She roared, and even though het voice was rather timid it successfully pierced the commotion and everypony fell silent. She frowned at the raiders that had gathered 'round. She recognised some of them, and they recognised her. "Get lost now boys, you have better things to do." She said, making a 'shoo' gesture.

Then she turned around to the others. "And you. If expect this from the likes of the raiders in this town, but I am sincerely disgusted that you would lower yourself to their standard!" She preached at Ezekiel. "and also that no one has tried to stop this..." She said addressing everypony else.

She then looked at the strange, cloaked stallion who opposed Ezekiel. "Now who are you, why are you fighting him and why can't we talk about this in decency?" She said in a serious tone, and continued slightly more empathetic: "unlike the raiders in Ponyville we can be trusted. Some of these ponies are just a little... stubborn I guess. Why did you take Ailes chip?" She asked, finally realising what had happened when he saw Ailes prized posession on his body. "And why is it so important anyway Aile?" She asked the mare, who she knew little about.

How would you walk, how would you talk if you thought: "Three percent of the population likes classical music, if only we could get it up to four percent we'd be back in business and all our problems would be over." How would you walk, how would you talk if you thought: "Everybody loves classical music! They just haven't found out about it yet!" It's an entirely different world. It's what you make of it that counts.

I found an easy way to find out if you've inspired someone. If their eyes are shining, you know you're doing it!

Ezekiel took a step back, the flames of Khalid going out, and he calmly sheathed his sword. He wanted to say something against Virtue's accusation of being like the Raiders. Certainly a duel of honor was not the same thing as blood sport. Her force of personality though quelled him, this was neither the time nor place to explain such differences.

With one final tug on the bandages Verdant finished patching Chip's injury. Chip hopped down from the table landing on all four feeling a tinge of pain from the new bullet wound. "Thanks Doc, I greatly appreciate it," he said opening his bag floating out 60 bits bringing them to Verdant. "Here, I hardly know her and it doesn't feel right to take her money. Just say you owe her one."

Chip smiled setting the bits on the counter and left the medical clinic. After he had time to sit down and relax besides the random jolt of pain from Verdant working on his wound, Chip managed to calm down returning to his normal self after what happened. He walked through Ponyville seeing raiders looking at him angrily with their grips on their guns. It appeared word of Chip killing Ricto had already spread like wildfire. He managed to find his group where he found a new pony standing in front of Ezekiel. Chip rejoined the group curious as to what was going on.

Crackshot watched on as Virtue had decided to play Peacekeeper for the two opposing stallions. And from the looks of it, it had worked. Ezekiel had put away his sword, but it was all up to what this new guy would do next.

He was a little disappointed, having looked forward to a little scrap, but this probably was the better option to take.

He finished off his whiskey and chucked it in his magic into the distance, causing a faint smashing of glass further away.

He saw Chip was returning to join the group, and he trotted over while revealing Ricto's old magnum to him.

"Figured you could use this for parts or something," he informed him, then nodded toward the house, "there's a safe in there, feel like helping me crack it?"

Chip watched as Crackshot made his way toward Chip. As Crackshot reached Chip he held out a magnum passing it to Chip saying he could use it for parts. Chip took the magnum in his magic and inspected it. "Hmm... it has been poorly maintained, otherwise it is a downgrade from what I have. Not even any usable parts to upgrade with, I can repair it and let someone use it." He said looking back at Crackshot floating the gun into his bag.

Crackshot mentioned a safe in Ricto's house and asked if Chip wanted a swing at opening it. "If it's electric I might be able to short it out, but that could also cause it to permanently lock. So i'm probably not the best one to open a safe." He admitted looking back at the group for a second.

Chip returned his attention to Crackshot. "By the way, I really do appreciate you standing by me during that. Sorry about losing myself like that.." He said looking down at the ground.

Xerath was so absorbed in the fight, the Zebra had enough skill to block his simplest combo, just as he was about to spice things up a bit the Zebra took a giant step back, his flame scimitar extinguishing itself and being placed back into its sheath. Turning around he identified the new pegasus as the culprit for the Zebra's dishonorable action, he kept his sword out and faced her. "You dare accuse a Zebra of such honorable caliber of stooping down to raider-standards? The way I see it, you're the only one that is stooping down to their standards by using your fancy word play to end our duel!" He pointed his sword at her, the electricity violently arcing as if to convey his disgust, he hadn't felt this insulted in a long time and he was just about ready to attack her. "And the worst part of it is that you come here demanding information from me! The nerve you pegasai have!"

Aile had been quiet throughout the duel until she had been questioned directly as the duel ended "We were attacked for it is my best guess to why it's important." She answered in a soft voice, almost whispering to Virtue as she didn't want the cyber-pony to hear a word.

Ezekiel took a step forward, placing himself between Virtue and the swordpony.

"Choosing to sheathe my sword was an action of honor, not lack. Should you wish me to draw it again, this lady, attack. If that be your course of action then, Khalid will not meet your blade as a friend." Ezekiel was trying to speak this pony's language, but he fully intended to defend Virtuosity if he had to, his hoof resting right below the cross guard of Khalid.

"Alright, I'll ask Virtue to look at it," Crackshot answered, glancing over his shoulder to the others, "once she's done playing Mediator."

At Chip's second comment, the taller unicorn patted his shoulder with a hoof.

"Considering the bomb I just dropped on you, I don't blame you for losing it. Besides, getting rid of that son of a bitch'll make the wastes that little more peaceful."

He noticed a few raiders giving Chip warning glares, weapons drawn. Crackshot returned one of his own, causing a good number of them to scuttle away. Obviously his reputation still held some sway.

He perked up and spotted the new guy getting uppity, pointing his sword at Virtue. The comment about pegasi was what caused the unicorn to stomp over, drawing Persuasion and aiming her right at the cyberpony's skull.

One thing he had serious trouble tolerating was racism.

Chip nodded at crackshot's comments when suddenly he drew his weapon looking over at some raiders who took off when Crackshot gave them a warning glare. Soon the the new pony had turned around and pointed his sword at Virtuosity.

Even though he didn't know her, Chip drew his magnum pointing it at the pony head. "No need to spill innocent blood friend, she may not be familiar with spars between fighters and thought she saw malicious intent. She only stepped in so blood wouldn't be spilled. So please put the sword down so we can talk this over and then you can go back to your duel, I know Ezekiel will be happy to oblige." He said trying to calm the situation before this pony gets a load of lead injected into his skull.
