Ezekiel closes his eyes, the spirits speaking through him as before with the machine spirit. The wind swirled gently around him.

"It's meaning is older than pre-war, older then Equestria of yore. Above the clouds in the heavens it flies, it is the insignia of a warden of the sky."

Dashia's go wide in surprise. She says, "so it means...Ok I think I understand now why. Well they have my gratitude and my thanks. I will keep this in mind as we travel."

She turns to Virtue and says, "As for the one week, then meet at that one place. It will take several weeks for me to be able to travel again. So I think we should meet in Cloudsdayle. That way yall can get an update on our virus knowledge from my mother directly. Also Chip can leave with Crackshot the radio. This is so we can keep in touch. I have my pipbuck. So we can keep in touch."

Aile

"So everyone is about ready to go then, right?" Aile spoke quickly as she saw the fire blazing from Chip's shop, apparently that was answered already as the minotuar was the first to head in the general direction of Manahattan, she followed behind him quickly as ponyville's little fire bells rang and raiders yelled in-distinctively at each other. She had no idea where the hell they were suppose to find this cyberpony and was going to be sure to give him a piece of her mind when she had the chance, no pony was going to get away with theft scott-free! "I wouldn't trust the radio's past the third day Dashia! They just don't seem reliable!" She shouted to the pegasus as they got further away from her, she wasn't sure if she heard any word she said.

Crackshot perked up and noticed Greshken and Aile were already making their way out of town, presumably toward Manehattan.

Fuckers were leaving him behind!

He quickly holstered his weapons and nodded to the rest of his group to follow as he trotted toward the two.

As he caught up, he noticed the blaze of Chip's shop was quickly spreading, and raiders were screaming at each other in total panic.

In a raider town, total chaos is just to be expected.

He caught a glimpse of his bartender friend dashing outside to get a glimpse of the blaze and quickly running back inside. Hopefully to pack his bags and haul ass.

He stopped as he neared Chip, momentarily to simply say before continuing on, "Stay alive, all of you."

Dashia goes over to Chip. She stands next to him unsure how to react. She then says, "Maybe the Dashites can give you work. Hopefully you can start a new else where. You know I will be right with you, Chip? Let's get going. Mom and dad will probably not be happy that I got myself hurt but at least I am still alive. Once we get closer I will radio ahead and let them know we are coming."

Dashia waits for Chip to start moving before guiding Everypony in her group towards her home. Once they get so far from Ponyville, Dashia looks to be excited.

Chip nodded at Dashia, "maybe they will have some work for me, otherwise I do intend on starting a new and I'm glad you'll be there with me." He said with a smile.

As Chip begun walking with the group he heard and explosion from inside the shop. The tank's on his torch kit finally failed causing damage to the wall they were leaning against. The shop seemed about ready to fall and luckily they were finally leaving.

Chip removed 1223 caps from his bag along with the virus plant with his magic and looked up at Dashia. "Can you store all this in your pipbuck for me?" He asked.

Dashia does as asked. She claims the items and they soon vanish. She says, "Done and done. if you need them let ne know."

She continues to guide her group towards her home. She thinks, 'From Ponyville it will take about a week to get there, on hoof. It isn't close but once we out of town, I will inform the others why I am so calm about going home. Even though the rumors say Hellhounds live there.'

Greshken

As Aile, and eventually the rest of their group caught up with greshken, he looked down at the mare. He didn't really know who she was, or what she was like. Her beliefs and thoughts were unknown to him, and that bothered him slightly. He wanted to know about everyone he was fighting alongside with, so he decided to ask her question. A very personal one at that. "I may be wrong, but I had the feeling that you knew the strange newcomer. At least he seemed to know you." He was silent for a moment. Attempting not to intrude her past too much with greedy questioning, he decided to ask in a slightly more discreet manner. "If you do know him, what can you tell us about him that might give us an advantage?"

Treading forward steadfastly, with the cannon uncomfortably hung from his hip, attached to his armour so he only had to use one arm to carry it, Greshken looked towards the horizon. Soon they would come across a road that would lead them straight towards Manehatten. But staying on roads also meant being vulnerable. Most raiders set up their traps and camps near roads where many travellers could be found. Perhaps they would have to find a more hidden, and thus safe route. But for now their current direction was good enough.

Virtue

Following Dashia, who seemed to grow more excited with every step, Virtue felt that the silence was dragging her down. Trying to strike up a little conversation, she looked up at the flying pegasus and asked. "What are your parents like Dashia? I've heard a thing or two in the last few hours but I'd love to hear more before we actually meet them." Glancing to chip, who was walking beside her, she raised a brow. "Might be good to learn a few things about your parents-in-law so you can get on their good side, you know."

How would you walk, how would you talk if you thought: "Three percent of the population likes classical music, if only we could get it up to four percent we'd be back in business and all our problems would be over." How would you walk, how would you talk if you thought: "Everybody loves classical music! They just haven't found out about it yet!" It's an entirely different world. It's what you make of it that counts.

I found an easy way to find out if you've inspired someone. If their eyes are shining, you know you're doing it!

Chip cheeks turned red at the thought of Dashia's parents being his parents-in-law. After the anxiousness had faded he smirked at Virtuosity's comment. "Well from what I've heard of Dashia's parents, we'll get along well since we're all engineers. I just happen to focus primarily on weapons but I know my way around cybernetics as well." He stated looking back at virtuosity for a second still with a smirk on his face.

Dashia nods and says, "Mom was a Stable Dweller. She worked on the Cyberpony Project. Don't know much about mom besides that. Mom is really good with healing spells and cybernetics. Dad was an enclave General. If he would have kept is loyalty for the new enclave leader, I wouldn't be alive today. They wanted him to prove his devotion and didn't like the fact he chose a non Pegasus wife. She was pregnant with me at the time and he refused to end a life, that couldn't chose for itself. He left and we lived in New Cloudsdayle ever sense."

As the three left the city and got out of ear shot of anything, she made sure the radio was off before turning to the others and says, "Now that nopony with lend prying ears, I will tell you about why my home is said to be a den for Hellhounds. It is actually a rumor spread by the Dashites and our allies to keep those like the enclave from finding it. There are a few Hellhounds there but we have a control system that commands them. They make good pets once tamed."

She waits for their responses before continuing.

Chip looks at Dashia slightly confused, he didn't think you could possibly tame hell hounds. His expression lightened up and he grinned at her. "Sounds fine to me, I trust you." He Assured.

"I look forward to meeting your family, perhaps I'll be able to learn something new while we're there," Chip stated as he begun walking closer to Dashia.

Crackshot followed after Aile and Greshken, glancing over his shoulder at the chaos rising from the fire at Chip's old shop.

A bittersweet image. The kid had no home now, but now he was free to find one.

He spotted Ezekiel catching up to him, his hood still up over his face.

"The town has dissolved into an awful mess," he began, keeping his gaze ahead, "I don't mourn them; those ponies deserve no less."

"Hey, not all of those ponies are mindless, dashed up killers," the unicorn argued, Chip and his bartender friend quickly springing to mind, "some of them just had nowhere else to go. But, now they're free. If that fire spreads, everypony will either burn or scatter."

There was nothing left for him in that old pre-war town, aside from old memories. Good memories, of getting hammered with his old buddies at the tavern.

He began wondering, just where were they? How were they holding up? Hell, were they even still alive?

Aile

Taking some offense to the questioning, Aile responded with some restraint, "I don't know that thing that attacked us, I don't know how he knows me but I intend to keep my distance from him, and the rest of you should do the same-" She paused a moment to regain her composure as she realized she was speaking to her companions with aversion, "We should just really be careful when we reach wherever the hell we are suppose to reach."

Just great they think I'm an asshole now, she thought to herself as the little road-trip they were on fell silent, save for the loud steps of the minotaur. Finally after an hour of grueling silence and travel on the jaggedly wasteland road she broke the silence, "Is that a caravan out on the horizon? Or am I just seeing things?" She rubbed her eyes and peered out into the distance once more, still uncertain whether or not the figures in the distance were a caravan. "So what do you guys think we should do? I mean I know we're still some ways from Manehattan, but they should have some information on the area and if we're lucky enough on the cyberpony as well."

@ Chip Circuit and Virtue

Dashia continues on. She looks to be lost in thought. She then asks, "Can yall tell me about yourselves sense I did just tell yall about my family."

She continues on while watching for enemies. She makes sure to stretch her wings. She stops for a bit and changes into her main power armor. Once she has her armor and weapons set, she continues on towards her home.

Chip looked around and back at Virtuosity seeing if she was going to answer first. It didn't seem like it so he decided he'd answer Dashia first. "Well I grew up in a lab learning how to construct various types of technology and weapons. From what I learned recently Ricto had killed my mother when I was to young to know her as incentive for my father working for him, which I also learned that it was Ricto who killed my father last year because my father cut his contract with Ricto." Chip said beginning to feel angry remembering back on what Ricto has done to him.

"Homeless after the raid I wandered the wastes finding my way to Ponyville, where I took up residence because of my trade. Up to that point nothing of note happened until I met you all. So now once again I'm homeless and wandering the wastes, at least this time I have friends." He said smiling up at Dashia.

Crackshot perked up as he overheard Aile, who was obviously frustrated about that cyberpony who attacked them before.

He couldn't blame her; if he was suddenly dropped in on while trying to recover from a long job, he'd be pretty pissed too.

About an hour or so of silent travel, he perked up at Aile's announcement. He trotted to her side and squinted his eyes; indeed, something was in the distance. Whether it was a trader or not, he couldn't be sure.

"It'll be worth a try," he answered, levitating Persuasion in front of him, "I've been to Manehattan, I'll tell you what you need to know about it. But we could always use supplies."

Ezekiel put a hoof on Persuasion to stay the weapon.

"Now Crackshot, why do you anticipate discourse, would you have me as a friend if I was met with such force?" The Shaman posed to his cynical friend.

Ezekiel had not spotted the on comer in the distance initially but could see them now on the approach.

"You don't know how things work out here, do you?" Crackshot grunted to Ezekiel, glancing down warningly as the zebra placed a hoof on his shotgun, "Meeting a strange pony out in the middle of nowhere, especially if they're alone, almost guarantees an ambush, unless you're lucky and it is just a trader."

Nonetheless, he lowered Persuasion, but still kept her out just in case.

"But, fine. Just be ready for a fight."

"I always am." Ezekiel said confidently.

He rooted himself in the moment, his hooves imperceptibly widened, he looked slightly up so that his hood would not obstruct his vision. He took a deep breath, his talisman glowed for just a moment, and he smiled.

Greshken

Looking down at Ezekiel and Crackshot. "Worry not. I'm with you. If any group of raiders is stupid enough to attack us after seeing me they're definitely too stupid to beat us." Grinning slightly and raising his cannon slightly higher. "If we must we can always fire up this bad girl while you hide behind me. Anything that survives will most likely run away after a blast like this." his expression changed suddendly. "But if it does come down to dimplomacy and friendlyness, I might have to stay out of sight, or at least at a considerable distance. Wastelanders tend to... run away at the sight of me. So any caravan with mercanaries wont be very happy to see the likes of me. If we're getting closer, I might go around a bit and wait for you guys up ahead."

Virtue

Sighing noticably at Dashia's question, she then smirked. "I guess I owe you that now. Well, I'd rather keep my youth to myself, but I've been a bounty hunter for the past couple of years. Well, quite specific one at that, but it doesn't matter. I killed for money." She didn't seem to be very fond of that. She slowed down slightly and a mellow expression appeared on her face. Softly whispered to herself. "they deserved it after all..." changing her pace slightly to catch up with the others again and trying to smile, she added "I've also kept some of the raiders entertained with my company, as well as making them feel safer. Some of them are really paranoid a bounty hunter is about to appear on their doorstep to collect their heads. I take this tension away." She scoffed slighly at the memories that popped up in her mind. "With expertise on several different levels."

Chip looked back at virtuosity, the way she said such things as "keeping raiders company and helping them relaxed" kind of rubbed Chip the wrong way. He didn't let it show as he was looking back at her. "Well at least you got To travel rather then being stuck in a lab most your life." He said with a grin on his face.

Chip turned forward again. "Granted I loved the lab life but there were times I wanted to go out and see the wastes for myself." He rambled looking at the ground. "I was always weaker so I couldn't just go out on my own... but now I have friends to travel with and now I get the explore and learn as much as I can."

Chip's attitude instantly perked up and he looked back at Virtuosity with a smile. "If you ever need weapon maintenance let me know." He stated feeling a bit more comfortable with her after she shared her story.

Dashia winces with how she spoke part of her story. She has had a bounty hunter or two try to claim her. 'Damn Pitt.' She thought. She looks back and asks, "Have you ever taken any jobs for a place called The Pitt?"

She wore a look that showed no emotion. She will react normally to Virtuosity's words as they come.

"So it's settled then, greshken will stay behind, well-sorta-" she paused for a moment and added "-Maybe Zeke should stay behind too, or at least keep some distance, I'm not sure everypony takes kindly to zebras" She frowned as she said that, not particularly because it was racist but because it was forcing her to suggest the exclusion of her friend. "Lets make up our mind fast, I don't think its safe or a good idea to stay in one place too long."

Crackshot looked up at Greshken, then glanced over to the figure in the distance. He had a point; anypony stupid enough to take on a minotaur armed with a cannon deserved what they got.

However, excluding Ezekiel on the grounds that he was a zebra didn't sit well with him, as much as she understood her intent.

"I don't see why he can't come," he answered, then nodded downward to the combat shotgun in his magic, "that pony has a problem with him, they can take it up with me."

He glanced back up to Greshken, expression as aloof as ever. "Besides, I'm sure the big guy can take care of himself for five minutes."

Ezekiel was confused by the initial suggestion but smiled at Crackshot backing him up.

"I'll stay as by Crackshot bidden, but I must ask, why would a pony want a Zebra to be hidden?" Ezekiel asked his friend. Still trying to be discreet enough to pull his hood back over his head.
