Upon hearing Aria's explanation, Crackshot let out another sigh as he inspected the tank tracks while waiting for the rest of the party. This one out of regret instead of exasperation. He glanced down at his heart pendant, and thought of her. He may have been born a raider, but compassion was one of the many things she taught him after they'd met. And his conscience was kicking in thanks to it.

And he had to admit, Arial was a bit less annoying than Caliber.

He turned back to look at the stallion. "Just...keep the noise down when we get to their hideout."

"I'll be as quiet as a feather. Dashia, you are related to THE Rainbow Dash? That's soooo cool! I myself am related to a wonderbolt by the name of soarin. He's my great great great grandpa." Arial was a bit confused with all the greats before grandpa. "Before my parents died they showed me pictures of him."

Dashia says, "I even inherited her name in part. Dashia was her full family name."

Dashia joins Crackshot and helps with the tracks. She describes to him the battle stats of the tank and potential range. She also says, "Depending on how good of a shot the tank cannon operator is we may have to get close and fast. If you have a sky chariot that I could fly, we may be able to get the drop on them from the cloud layer without being seen until we were on top of them."

As Dashia and Crackshot were examining the tank tracks Chip looked around "Where's that eccentric Unicorn with the sword and Chronos. I'm more curious about the unicorn since he was practically pissing himself to chase after these guys." He looked back at the two who were still examining the tracks after he overheard Dashia's analysis.

"She's not wrong, from when the tank passed through town I could tell the design is that of an old VK45.02 I.D.S long range tank. The design specialized on taking out targets at a far distance as to avoid direct confrontation as to keep its allies safe. A ways back those tanks were used primarily in blockades and city garrisons. Now because of the recoil dampening as well as the increased resistance on the turret for more precise aiming It's weakness is in its slow movement of the cannon. So best to approach in a serpentine formation. While this weakness is a decent advantage the tank has deadly precise aim especially if they are using the proper shells." Chip ranted suddenly stopping when he realized everyone was looking at him puzzled on his knowledge of the tank. "My father helped the I.D.S improve those tanks, and had some blueprints of them lying around in our old lab."

Aurora says, "My papa taught me about them and that they also can't aim straight up. The turret on it is also unable to do so. He wanted to make sure I was equipped to handle the brotherhood, should a fight be unavoidable. These guys made one mistake with me. They showed me that they have no honor in fighting. The brotherhood of steel at least has a sense of honor in a fight."

"So these tanks can't aim straight up? As pegasi can't we just fly on top open the hatch, drop a grenade in then fly away? One of us would need to distract the turret gunner though... Me of course. But I think that the cannon won't be an issue, its slow and takes time to reload."

Chip looks back at Dashia "well to be more accurate their upward aim halts at sixty-five degrees up from the base of the turret." He stated with a grin trying to prove he knew more of the tank. He realized he was beginning to sound like braggart, he pointed his ears back "Sorry I tend to get competitive when it comes to tech and weapon knowledge. Especially more so when I've spent so much time around raiders who can barely tell the difference between the stock and barrel of their guns." he apologized zipping his lips.

Crackshot nodded and listened to Dashia's detailed explanation. Part of him wondered how she was so in-depth with her knowledge, but had his question answered by her within minutes.

"A sky chariot would take too long and make too much noise," he shook his head, eyes fixed down on the tracks, "we follow the tank on hoof. I highly doubt they'll have it running all through the night, so we shouldn't have to worry about the turret."

He listened to Chip's long-winded explanation, eyebrow raised at how much he knew about military weaponry. Once the shop owner explained himself, Crackshot went to continue when Arial spoke up.

"It'll take more than just one grenade to wipe out a military tank, and like I said, they likely won't have the turret operating in the night," he grunted, though an idea popped into his head and he looked toward Dashia, "but two bombers are better than one."

Chip looked at crackshot "we don't know that for sure, like I mentioned this tank is meant for garrisons. They may keep one operator in the turret to keep an eye on the roads. If it's not running then the turret can operate but the mounted machine guns can. I suggest we surround them using the trees as cover, those of us not running distraction or bombing will try to gun down as many troops as we can before they can get to the tank."

"Do we know who's bombing, who's shooting and who's distracting? I want to know what I'll be doing. Hopefully, staying in one piece but there's no guarantees." Arial was eager to get on with the mission. "Also, do we get paid for doing this? I mean... What exactly did this tank do again?"

"As to bombing probably the fastest flier and the one carrying the explosive will be it." he said looking back at Dashia "As to getting paid, I'm not really sure. We're mainly going after them because of what they did here and what they will do to other settlements."

Chip pointed to the pile of burnt pony corpses that was a stone throw away from them all "They were dispersing some type of virus into the town, those infected were soon bleeding out through the eyes causing a painful death."

Dashia says, "My other power armor detected it as a class beta or level 2 Virus. It environmently sealed to protect the user. This time around I don't have that benefit. So Arial and I will have to avoid the area the virus comes from."

She turns to the ghoul, "Is it true your type are technically neither alive nor dead."

Crackshot looked to Chip, who had a point. "Machine guns can only reach so far, but there's the thought of us getting too close without even realising."

He took out Persuasion and Reason, giving them one last inspection. "This isn't a paid job, this is doing the Wasteland, and everypony in it, a favour."

Suddenly, an idea popped into his head, and he looked back at the excitable pegasus. "You want a job? How good are you at scouting?"

"I can scout... I was watching chip the whole time that he was in the building. I didn't have anything else to do. So, I guess yeah, I could scout if you wanted me to." Arial feels happy that he'll finally have a job to do. "It would be awesome if I could help you with that." Arial was smiling and happy that he might be able to do something.

I followed along content that proper revenge would soon be realized. "Hmm, I be willing to create an opening for you Dash. As for your question, I never quite questioned it. I simply left it to the Scientists for that kind of conjecture. I guess I am walking zombie though, no real reason to ever doubt it. I need radiation like plants need sun, I just could never explain the Chlorophyll." I said laughing now. "So how are we going to do this eh?"

Dashia follows the others and says, "Well I need the openings and if we can spot them before they spot us, I could cloud dive for the first pass. The opening is needed for the second pass. Unless we get spotted first."

Dashia points up to the cloud layer and then makes a diving motion with her hoof hovering along. She looks like she feels better being able to fly at will without straining Herself.

Crackshot nodded, his opinion about Arial beginning to change after seeing his eagerness to help with the cause.

Upon hearing the ghoul's questioning of a plan, he spoke up to provide one.

"When we get closer to the Rangers, Arial will use the cloud cover to scout ahead and tell us their situation, whether the tank is running or not, and how many are on patrol. When he gets back, we'll sneak around to where the tank's turret isn't pointing, and Dashia will start bombing. Once the tank's out of the way, we either move in to attack, or get clear from the virus gas if it spreads out."

Explaining this plan felt rather strange to him; he felt like a Raider Lieutenant all over again.

Dashia says, "I will cloud fly with Arial. I can get in for the first drop that way. Would that be ok?"

Dashia flexes her wings a bit and bounces on cloud vapor beneath her hooves. She then continues to follow keeping low to the ground. She wanted to make sure they weren't spotted first.

"What if we aren't fast enough for the gas? Doesn't gas spread out fast? We would need to run pretty fast unless youre a pegasus. But Im just stating what I've seen from smoke grenades. I'm probably wrong. Anyways, when should we get started?" Arial wanted to be accepted into this group. He wasn't actually sure they were actually in a group but it seemed like it.

Chip as he was thinking to himself heard the conversation between everypony else. "If the tank is running no one is allowed within fifty feet of it, we don't know if it can be absorbed through skin contact or not. As well as we don't know how much it can linger in an outside environment, it did decent damage here but only covered fifty feet it seems. The only one that i say is allowed within the range of the tank is Chronos, but that's his call. Being a ghoul he way be immune to the virus. One more thing the priority is staying upwind of the tank, if we're down wind then the virus could travel through the air far enough to reach us." He stated still looking partially distracted at his thoughts.

"No," Crackshot answered bluntly to Dashia, "if you attack the tank before we get there, they'll be on alert and form a line of defence for when we arrive. We get there in unison, and we attack in unison."

He looked over to Arial, to answer his question next. "Were you in Ponyville when the virus struck? The gas moves slowly, so if it does spread we'll have time to get clear and let it evaporate into the air."

He lifted Persuasion in front of him with his magic and cocked it. "And we move now."

He listened up to Chip and nodded. "Smart. We keep upwind, in case the gas is flowing and it comes our way."

Chip hears Crackshot's mistake in words "Upwind... we need to stay upwind. If we're down wind then the virus will be moving to us." He interjected to avoid any confusion.

After making his comment he pulled his rifle off his side with his magic and made sure it was warmed up ready to fire.

"Dashia, you ready to go against my insane flying skills to get to the cloud? I bet you I'll beat you to it." In Arials mind he knew he had no chance against Dashia but a little fun wouldn't hurt before blowing up a tank. Arial flexed his comparably smaller wing getting ready to fly.

Dashia says to crackshot while moving. "I know that. I was asking so I could be in position. I can give the communcation signal of my pipbuck to yall and you can tell me when I can attack. They won't be expecting an attack from two angles."

Dashia was just wanting to make sure they knew she wouldn't attack until ready.

She tells Arial, "Unless Crackshot says I can it seams no is your answer. I just think a two pronged attack is better to split their attention. It will create more openings."

Crackshot looked over to Dashia, considering her idea. A two-pronged attack would definitely be effective, and would really scatter the Raiders. This mare knew her stuff.

"Alright, the two of you will scout ahead and keep us posted on their movements while we move in," he nodded, then looked to the rest of the party, "can anypony here receive a PipBuck signal?"
