While Blizz disagreed at first, he eventually decided that staying together might be the best plan. "Ok, but where should we make our point of contact?" Thinking of the others especially SM whom he still was worried about, "I think we should take the safest route possible to avoid confrontation, injury, and potential death. Will, give us a clear and concise run-down of the plan again please?"

Sinusoid looks at the plan; "Well, that incredible planning skill pretty much makes my presence useless again. Although — judging by the very large number of physical factors and the way that it was reportedly dropped — the amulet could have ended here —" He points to a location at a different trajectory from the entrance; "Or several other locations. Really, we might need to search the entirety of the area."

Blizz didn't like SM's self-negativity, "Dude you're not useless, no one is, Celestia would not have bestowed this amulet *points to SM's amulet around his neck* if you were unfit for this job. And TBH I don't know much about mapping or topography, but you do! All I can say is this: wherever you guys think the relic is, we should map out those locations with the safest route possible, and keep hitting those locations until we find the Princess' relic!" *Slams hoof on table*

"Well....I have something that may be able to fix it. Celestia wouldn't have called us unless it was rather powerful, however...."

Wilhelm tapped his hoof absentmindedly on the table.

"I suppose that it could perhaps be tracked if we knew what it did. Every magical item above a certain power level has a trackable signature. We'd save time that way. I suppose I could ask Celestia..." He took a fountain pen and wrote down his question, signed it, and then sent it through the pneumatic tube in the wall.

"However, nothing's truly accurate. Down in the Pit, everything is skewed by the sheer amount of bad magic down there."

Blizz was intrigued but impatient, "We could, but you do realize that could take up more of our time right? We gotta do this with utmost haste!" But then he caught himself with what he said, "I guess we'd have to go back to her before she sends us there anyway. But IMO it seems like a long shot with the idea of tracking it. If that fails we still have the old fashioned way of hitting each location until we find it."

caliber gave his sword back, before saying, "lets not forget, this is tartarus we're talking about. splitting up may be a deathwish. i say we stick together" caliber was still looking through the cabinets, looking for the cake. "i know we could cover more ground that way, and it might be faster, but for the highest chance at survival, i say we stick together."

Of course. My armor is impregnable so it's best for you all to stay behind me at all times. *he said as he took his sword back and sheathed it*

You are not useless my fellow comrade. Everypony is special. And I know Princess Celestia gave you this assignment for a reason. If we work together and stay true to ourselves and our abilities we cannot lose!

IB, was confident in his new allies, he knew they were ready, "So when do we report back to the Princess and tell her we're ready to go to Tartarus? I know we can do this guys we just have to stay together, and stay cool, stay, stay calm, stay focused, and most important: stay alive."

Sinusoid looks around with his normal displeased expression, ignoring the remarks of how he is not useless, and says, "If we need to do this with the utmost haste, why did we all decide to meet here so late? Also, if everything is in order, we should go to see Princess Celestia and prepare to leave." He stops for a moment; "Wilhelm, what is the 'invention' that you have, which could assist us in leaving, and should we probably bring it?"

If I recall correctly I believe she said these pendants can send us there and back at will. We need only take them and speak "in" to them when we're ready and when we're ready to leave we simply say "out". Seems simple enough. But we must take heed and remain together at all times.

"It's...um.." Wilhelm blushed for a second, completely unlike him. "It's kind of interesting. I bioengineered a pair of wings and then put a grafting spell on them. Well, I didn't, but you get what I mean. I'll go and get it." He turned away from the group and trotted downstairs, presumably to some secret armory.

IB got into his action pose, "All right when everypony is ready let's get going! Or does anyone else have a reason as to why we should stay?" "I up for anything under the leadership of SS, we'll do awesome!" IB really wanted to do a good job Princess, but more importantly he wanted his teammates to prosper from this mission, because from what he could tell, he knew that this job wouldn't be easy.

caliber looked at silver. and smiled. "thats a guy i could follow!" he said, as he, too, took out his sword, and pointed it to the sky. "to tartarus! onward!" caliber shouted, as he walked beside silver sword. caliber was still thinking. 'sigh, i wonder if this shall be my end?' he thought. 'no. they are counting on me. i must not fail'

In! *Silver spoke into his pendant and was transported to Tartarus. He then tucked his pendant into his armor to ensure it's safety*. He quickly drew his sword and shield maintaining his guard prepared for any incoming dangers. You will not best me this day foul creatures of Tartarus! Prepare to taste the sacred steel of The Sword of Righteousness!

Here goes IB there comes a time where a stallion reflects on everything he's done in life and he remembers that being a hero was his destiny *looks at cutie mark*, "Here goes nothing.." IB said in a shaking voice, "*Closes eyes*In.."

"This is it.." IB thought then shouted, "No turning back now FOR CELESTIA AND EQUESTRIA!!!!"

This is not the time for such foolishness. There is work to be done. I came here to retrieve Princess Celestia's precious Amulet. And retrieve it I shall! I will pay any price for the princess! Even the price in blood! I swear that I will get that Amulet back or die trying!

Sinusoid stares at the place where Silver stood seconds ago, confused at the incredibly ill judgement of the decision; "What — did he — I — I can't even say anything about this..." He says in an accidentally high voice, which he then returns to normal pitch and says to Caliber, "He might be the one that you would follow, but please don't do that yet—" He is cut off by Caliber leaving, and looks quite frustrated at Ice leaving too; "Is anyone even thinking about this?!"

"Yes sir! But wait, sir, SS and Will aren't here! I suggest we wait until they get here and hold down this area and then get moving when our team is regrouped." IB wanted to be on as good terms with his team as possible, so it's only natural that he shows respect to a superior.

He knew it might take a while so he decided to relax and stay alert at the same time. *Cracks open a soda* "Want one?" He asked SS and Cal.

Wilhelm came up the stairs, bearing several items that looked like:

a) a steampunk railgun

b.) a triple-barreled laser rifle

c) a box of hand grenades with a faint magical shimmer

d) a jet engine with straps

 

He looked around, slightly confused. "Where did everyone go? Gah.....knowing them, they just gallivanted off to die." Wilhelm let out a vehement string of curses. "Whatever. Time to go save them....if you feel you're ready." He gave a quick glance to Sinusoid and tossed him the railgun. "Mark Six Gjallarhorn. Enjoy. But....grab some noise-canceling earphones." With a practiced hand, Wilhelm primed and test-sighted the laser rifle. Also, from somewhere, he had gotten a tactical uniform with a colonel's rank in the Royal Army and his name on it. However, he didn't elaborate on his military service. Holding the gun loosely at his side, he took out the pendant and held it. "Sinus? On ten?"

Oh that's right. Not everypony is here yet. I shall gallantly await their arrival here! Be warned my comrades. This place is the realm of all evil. And it is also the resting place of all bad ponies. Those who have committed terrible sins get sent here for all eternity...

IB didn't like waiting either, he wanted to get up and move, pound some face in, deep freeze some fools but he knew waiting was the best idea until the team was all present. Until then he couldn't help but share some drinks.

Oh, why thank you my fellow comrade! Yes I am bit parched! I must say it's quite hot and dry down here. But that's what I would've expected from this place. This will be our greatest battle my friends. *Silver's Armor and shield began to glow and radiate emitting a white aura.*
