  1. So, does this mean we can continue now?
  2. Good communication is key for any RP in order to keep it from dying, along with posting consistency. It’s good that you bring this up.
  3. Aeolia steps out of a building while talking to a reddish stallion. “Honestly, I thought that Hoofington was an unlikely place for a facility like this. But when I heard you were working here, I figured I might, ya know, come see it while I was still in southern Equestria.” “Hey, at least it’s better than happened in Whinnyapolis,” the stallion chuckles. “I know,” the monochrome mare replies, “I can’t believe that I tho—“ She cuts off as her gaze captures the commotion coming from within the town. “I’m gonna... leave for a minute,” she says distractedly before cantering away toward the town center. The stallion sighs reminiscently, “she hasn’t changed a bit.” Aeolia approaches the crater surrounded by ponies with extreme caution, being careful not to be noticed. She was not expecting the dust to be dispersed, and is mildly startled when the vortex spell is used.
  4. Great, thanks. Here’s my character:
  5. Is it too late to join in on this RP? I really like the idea and I haven’t actually done one since 2016.
  6. Well, I’m back, probably. Resisting the urge to delete my account because of all the embarrassing RP posts I used to make.

  7. In that case, I would like to join with this: https://mlpforums.com/page/roleplay-characters/_/dorian-mode-r8294 If accepted, I have no preference of how my character comes into the story; you can work it in however is easiest.
  8. This seems interesting. Is it still active? There is notable distance between posts.
  9. It's almost cringeworthy how long I've been a member of this site.

  10. My "friend," who has been making fun of me for being a brony for over a year, is a brony now. Ha.

thats what happened to me only in a span of a few months XD friend kept bothering me to watch the show till I said fine if it would stop him from asking

  11. Dorian does not respond as he watches the large feline leave. "That was unusual. No one has ever apologized for distirbing me before." He gives a panning glance at the space around himself. "Nun, kio horo estas?" He looks at his watch. "Oh, I should leave." He puts his device in his pocket, mounts his unicycle, and rides away. ~ Several minutes into riding back, Dorian suddenly stops, pulls the hood off of his face, and perks his ears. After a few seconds of motionless listening, he illuminates his horn, forming a pale grey dome of light around it, directing air movement to amplify far sounds. "Is that... gunfire?..."
  12. Dorian looks at the extended paw for a moment, then hesitantly shakes it with almost no force. Realizing that he was indirectly asked to give his name, he begins to frantically think of possible responses. Following a frequent tactic of his, he releases a very low and quiet series of sounds, which could be recognized as speech, but are completely void of meaning.
  13. Dorian looks up sharply from his work as he hears the presence of another. He replies almost reflexively, in a very soft voice, "Oh, hello... uh..." He trails off. "La sorĉisto estas kato," he whispers to himself. He tries to audibly say something, but fails. "I... uh..." He uses his magic to pull the hood further over his face.
  14. I want to rant that I find it so incredibly moronic that "he" and "she" are different words. Even Esperanto, the "international language" suffers from this ridiculously stupid problem, with "li" and "ŝi", and even the sexist affix "-in-".

  15. Thank you. As always, I apologize for my bluntness.
  16. So, are we just supposed to wait for you to feel like introducing your characters? As it appears to me, we all have made our posts.
  17. I can tell. That is why a post as such I have mentioned is somewhat imperative at this point and should have been made sooner.
  18. Will you or will you not write a post that will initiate the story for the currently unrelated characters? Given the limited time, you should.
  19. Murder. I have been watching this topic for most of the day, and things are rather slow; I have intentionally not posted anything else. I think that there should be more exposition and a converging action.
  20. After actually writing a post, I realize that I have created a very strange character. If necessary, I apologize for that.
  21. Outside, in the cold evening as it became increasingly lonesome, Dorian turned around a corner on a unicycle, a small amount of his white fur shining from under the hooded dark grey cloak that covered most of his body. As it would normally be a strange thing to see, he would come out only at night to do a routine ride, to allow him to think intensively about things that would normally be distracting. Also, in nearly complete darkness, it would give an unsettling floating appearence that he somewhat enjoyed. "Transitive verbs... what am I supposed to do about transitive verbs... there must be a marker of some kind... Can I use a glottal stop to signify a place holder? ʔo, ko etuʔo, ko mɑɹʃuʔo... no, that would allow for ambiguity with the diphthong separation..." His quiet, deep voice was completely inaudible as he worked out the difficultly technical parts of the grammar of language. Tired of too much thought, he unmounted his unicycle, hiding behind a tree, and pulled out a digital notepad out of one of his pockets to write down his thoughts.
  22. I have been watching this topic, and, according to the patterns that I have seen in similar topics, I do not expect anyone to join soon. Because of the limited time, I suggest that we start. Never mind. I was ninja'd. I am confused by the initial post. Where are our characters supposed to start? Is there no backstory provided?
  23. How can a rumor be dangerously powerful? Anyway, a bounty is probably a more plausible story-driving choice.
