Worldbuilding possibilities

I love me some fictional worldbuilding. So I'm stoked that Season 5 is going to get around to more of that. Now, for those of you who don't know- we've been given a few maps of locations around Equerstria already, but beyond Equestrian borders, we know little to nothing about. Like the Dragon territory, Griffon kingdom, ect. Since Equestria is a pony play on words of America, with many of the cities/ states being in the same places, just given pony names of their own (Seaddle, Coltifonia, Applewood, Las Pegasus, Neighagra falls, Manehattan), what would Griffon territory be called, if it's a country just to the west of Equestria? What would Dragon territory be called, if it's to the east? Or Zebra territory? What fictional species might inhabit Asia/ (insert whatever species for that territory pun name here)?

As for the Southern territories (South America)...I can imagine it being inhabited by a more dominate race of Camelids (llama, alpaca, guacano, and Vicuña), rather than ponies. Maybe it's called Camestria?

let's talk territories.

I want to go even beyond sentient horse and hooved races and just do sentient races based on all types of different animals too. It would allow for even more kingdoms, countries and continents! It'd be a pretty good setup for a "little pony in a big world" type of deal.

I reckon it's going to be like this. As there are 26 episodes in a season, I reckon that about 7 of those are going to have the friendship problem location arc in them. Might be more, might be less, I don't know, but I think this is what we're going to get.

Fillydelphia

Trottingham

Las/Los Pegasus

Baltimare

Griffon Kingdom

Zebra Kingdom

Some steampunk place (going by concept art.)

We can expect the griffon kingdom if we're talking about outside Equestria, otherwise, I expect the staff to explore more local areas. I'm personally itching for Hollow Shades, as I think there is were our beloved bat ponies live

It'd be awesome to see some lands beyond the borders; and I hope to at least see the Griffin Kingdom considering it was mentioned in the "Journal of the Two Sisters" and Celestia & Luna even interacted with the Griffin Kingdom. Heck, the Griffin leader and some soldiers played a minor part in a major event later in the book.

A good example of world-building that we have recently was in the recent issues of the comics. The deer have a hidden kingdom in the Everfree, and while some may disagree with me on this, I loved how they were depicted in being sort-of elf-like. I'd love to see more of them. <3

But yeah; plenty of potential. :)

I'm guessing we'll learn more about Maretonia and Saddle Arabia(?) because we saw the rulers of these countries in Equestria Games.

Besides the cities and towns mentioned above (yes Griffon Kingdom please!), I'd also like to know what is outside Equestria.

I'd really like to see a territory inhabitated by Przewalski's horses based off the Mongolian Empire (you know, Genghis Khan's empire), and possibly something that could involve kirin (and maybe long/Chinese dragons too?).

Another territory could be a viking-like land settled in the North, with at least one character based off Sleipnir, Odin's eight-legged horse.
