Any of you ship fans in the herd?

Might be a pretty gutsy move to go & ask a something as obscure like that in a little kids' show community, but whatever.  I wonder if there are anyone here who likes / has interest in ships (not just the Titanic movie): perhaps lives in a big port with plenty of ships & traffic there, makes photos of ships, stares at the AIS & tracks a beloved ship, has some knowledge in ship theory & history, makes scale models & whatnot.  Although I'm not ultimate at any of that & dropped eventually some of them, but still am a devoted ship enthusiast.

I don't really live close to the sea, so I don't see many ships.

I live in a small harbor town on an island off the coast of Mane, so I see plenty of ships; mostly cruise ships come in to the harbor. The "of the seas" ships actually block out all of the view of the ocean when seen from main street. Those boats are insanely massive, and a bit scary to be honest.

Well, I live in Iceland that is know for its fishing (and the Cod-Wars it fought Britain during the Cold War). We are pretty much situated in an important location. From Iceland you can fly to/export/invade Britain, Canada, France, Russia or USA (kinda why the British invaded us during WWII).

I might be landlocked all the way in Indiana, and have yet to get near even a dinghy, but I'm always a fan of ships, in both meanings. My absolute favorite ship is the Brig. Fast and maneuverable, yet able to still pack enough of a punch in the Age of Sail.
