Blizzard had a fail-safe, "Aha! I also got this from those pirates." He said as he placed a small yet valuable gem on the table, "that should cover the price of my food, but now what to choose...." Blizzard then flipped through the menu until he saw something that caught his eye, "Wow! They have shrimp here that's the size of your eyes! I think I want that shrimp platter, yep. What about you Caliber, Ticktock?"

caliber, however, was ordering everything. as usual. "do you guys not have enough money? i could put it on my tab, if y'all really cant afford it..." caliber said sheepishly. "i can just make a run to ponyville to get some gems. no biggie." caliber grinned.

Ticktock looked at Caliber "No thanks dude im good " Ticktock then pulls out a large bag of bits "I always keep a little stash of about 2000 bits on me anyway. Ticktock then continues to look threw the menu "Well I think I will have shrimps as well. So Caliber what are you going to have?"

Blizzard replied, "Nah, I'm good too, I managed to sneak another gem from those pirates, so I can pay for my own." Blizzard even saw a few foals with their manes dyed in his mane color, "How adorable, these kids really love us don't they? Question: does the food take long to wait for? "

caliber grinned. "you really wanna know what i want?" he asked, with a smirk. "okay...im getting the 'usual,' its an order these kind ponies made especially for me. it has just about everything on the menu, and it totals up to 50,000 bits. dont worry, though. i have a tab. this place always leaves me dry of money. luckily, i have more bits at my house in ponyville. when i have the spare time, ill just mail the amount thats due to here."

Ticktocks jaw dropped to the floor "Fift...fift....FIFTEY THOUSEND BITS!!!!!! How do you even get so many bits?!" Ticktock was a little concerned about something though which was how fame would effect the team "Um guys just so you know don't go getting all caught up in fame because you will become over confident and may begin to make mistakes so: Stay focused, Stay alive :)"

Blizzard was as shocked as Ticktock for a bit, "fifty thousand?! dang! but then again it's Caliber, so yeah it's normal. I wonder what all that food'll look like?"

 

To Ticktock he says, "Haha very funny but that's my line Ticktock.   Don't forget who taught that to ya!"

caliber grinned. "yeah, you guys heard right. fifty-thousand bits. constant adventuring, and lots, and i mean lots of bets. you get some money along the way." he said, smugly. 

 

the waiter came by. "and what will Master Caliber have, today?"

 

"well, ill have the 'usual'," caliber said, "with a soda."

 

"very well, and Master Ice Blizzard? Master Ticktock?"

 

they replied with the shrimp.

 

the waiter thanked them, and walked off.

 

"oh, dont worry, ticktock. iv been semi-famous for a while. it wont get to my head." he grinned wider, and said "so, you never got back to me about those books. did ya finish 'em? they only cover the basics of fencing, ya know."

Ticktock replied to Caliber "Oh yes I have read them they are good reads actually" Ticktock spent some time thinking then said "Um guys after we finish eating do you mind if we quickly stop of at my old college house? there are some things I have been meaning to collect from there for a while now"

Blizzard replied, "Yeah, let's go down memory lane for a bit Ticktock, and Caliber, how long does it take to get your food here? It shouldn't take long right? Sorry, I just get a little impatient sometimes when I go to new places. hehe."

the waiter brought the food. one plate for ice blizzard, on for ticktock, and several for caliber. "thanks!" caliber said, as he tipped a large gem. he looked at his friends. "dig in!" he said, as he began inhaling food. "oh, and i gotta remember to get ya more books on fencing." he said between bites.

Ticktock said to the waiter "Thank you my good stallion" Then he started to eat his shrimps in the way you would expect someone from Canterlot to eat which was understandable since Ticktock had spent half his life here." Yeah I think that if I read a few more books I might be able to beat you Caliber" Said Ticktock smiling.

caliber almost spat out his food. he swallowed. "i dont know whether or not to take you serious, rookie!" he said, laughing. "i dont know if you noticed, but, im caliber. i make a living off swordplay. iv got almost ten years of almost nothing but fighting." his left eye sparked with dark magic. "and you haven't seen my full power, yet."

Ticktock laughed "Well if we had kept up our little battle I would have won easily my friend. And as for your 'full power' I think I know what it is" Ticktock cocked his eyebrow and said "You know what at some point we need to have another battle. One which will last with only one winner. No breaks, no holding back. How dose that sound"

caliber shrugged. "hey, believe what you want to. your still inexperienced with a sword." he grinned, and started eating again. "and dont forget: i know everything there is to know about fencing. along with several other sword styles. do you know what that means?" he leaned in forward, "i can predict what you do before you do it, if you use fencing."

Ticktock looked unfazed "Well can you predict what im going to do now then?" Ticktock knew what Caliber would say next but Ticktock didn't do anything he just sat there continuing to eat his shrimp smirking the whole time. Ticktock was thinking that what gave him an advantage over Caliber was his magic but that was not what Ticktock intended to use.

caliber ate his food. "i dunno, its only when your fighting. i know every sequence and combo and strike in fencing. and how to counter each and every one of em." he looked at ticktock. "but, i guess i could try..." his eyes widened a bit, and his eyes adopted a hazy look. ticktocks aura started floating around him. huh. blue. and orange.

Ticktock put down his folk and said "Really so you can predict anything I can do ay well if I had say used magic to make the Ticktock you see now just and illusion and I was standing behind you right now ready to strike at a time of my choosing would you be able to predict that?"

caliber grinned. "no." he said simply. "but did it occur to you that im an aura reader, and clones have a much weaker aura? and that maybe when i shifted, i was actually getting ready to unsheath my sword in less than a second? and i have heightened senses? and that i could hear you behind me? and that maybe im not in checkmate, but you are..." he shrugged, and continued eating. "but those are all maybes..."

Ticktock laughed "Well you got me I didn't use a clone... this time but how to you know that I can easily block your sword so the question is if one of us will (and im not saying it will happen) make a move or wait for the other" Ticktock gets ready to deploy his sword just in case.

Shadow had been sitting at another table during the time the others had been sitting cheerfully at their table.

 

While he was sitting down and eating his pasta primavera, a strange thought came to his mind.

"Hmmm.." he said to himself while scratching his cheek.

"I wonder... maybe... meh. it's nothing" he said to himself and carried on eating his food.

Blizzard had been sitting there, eating his shrimp, while listening to Caliber and Ticktock have a geek conversation about swords, "*munch You guys must reaaaaly like sword plays, but I'm siding with Caliber, he's the best in Equestria! Aren't you bro? *munch*"

caliber looked at him. "uh, no. im good, dont get me wrong, but im still in 4th. you shoulda seen the guy at the top...unreal skills." he finished, and stood up. "welp, we ready to go?" he asked, happily. "come on!" he dashed out, making a bee-line for the castle, "we dont wanna be late!!"

Blizzard had finished his food and said, "Oh shi-- wanna ge paid move it!!! Race you guys to the castle!" Blizzard then begins to skate as quickly as possible to the castle, "Ok come on let's go follow me to the castle! Faster come on don't wanna be late let's go come on!"

Shadow Noticed the others leave.

he put the payment on the table and left in a hurry.

HEY GUYS! WAIT FOR ME!

 

He rushed as fast as he could trying to catch up with the others.

He accidentaly knocked a chair over when trying to get to the exit.
